LittleBlueTroll
I still don't get it why people want the remastered CoD 4... Because COD 4 is not only one of the most loved Call Of Duty titles of all time, Its one of the most loved FPS games ever. I just really hope they do a decent job and leave the core game alone. I'm all for it being more aesthetically pleasing, but I want it to feel like COD 4, not just feel slightly similar to it. CrysisAverted
Right, but unlike og Modern Warfare, this will have half the damn maps in exchange for "better" graphics. It will have more people playing it then the original cod4 and may just kill cod4 off completely which is a shame since the PC version has some real fun modded game types and stuff. The other maps will come out eventually as DLC, which is a shame but it is bound to be the case. So eventually we should end up with all the original maps. And many people will refuse to buy Infinite Warfare and will only purchase COD 4 remastered if it becomes stand-alone. As it stands now there are no plans to have it stand-alone (although again, its bound to be eventually) So the original COD 4 is still safe. Plus is COD 4 even backwards compatible on console? If not then that is another reason the original COD 4 will not completely die off.

9i OTD
You know, I really wanted to like this game. I REALLY did. I watched the trailer a few times trying to find things to get me excited. But this just looks like Advanced Warfare in space. When you've already done four annual future bullsh*t games in a row, people will roll their eyes upon hearing there's a fifth one. It's not hard to understand why it's getting overshadowed by COD4 remastered. As people have said, when a new game in a new sub-series is getting overshadowed by the updated re-release of a 9 year old game, that should be when you realise that you've REALLY f*cked up. I'll wait 'till MWR is released separately. Which it will be eventually.

J32T3R
I'm kind of surprised this reached over a million dislikes....didn't think it would be this bad, I kind of feel bad for the IW team. Should've just listened too the community from the start. Just looking at the Battlefield 1 and COD Infinite Warfare like and dislike ratio is beyond laughable! They're sitting strong at the #8 most disliked video on youtube at the moment. Edited May 9, 2016 by J32T3R

Not possible since IW started development on the game the same year AW released. It's Activision that picks the themes of the games afaik, it's why WaW was released, it was just in case MW bombed. LincolnClay
Infinite Warfare doesn't seem that bad, it's the timing that's wrong. We need a break from futuristic COD. Maybe later we can try this game.
esmittystud101
They kinda have to just go with it since they have probably three plus years making Infinate Warfare and a ton of money invested in it. I'm just going to hold off for a while and need be a long time until eventually CoD:4 Remaster is sold by itself. Which they haven't announced anything yet on that. But they would be dumb if they did. We will probably hear something on that two months after release of Cod 4 Remaster or maybe a little longer after that. It kinda feels good not buying there game this year. I'm proud of the guys that hold off on that futuristic bullsh*t. Who's buying Battlefied 1? I know I am. Probably a short campaign, but the multiplayer is going to feel so different with that setting and weapons. Can't wait for it. A buy day one for me. Dice I think is going in the right direction now with this series. I'm even having fun in Star Wars Battlefront. Something different for a change. Abel.
after patch 1887s would be acceptable, pre patch would be f*cked. i cant wait to get a gold deagle again though those were boss m40a3 1v1s soon lads The current PC community is still fairly active mate. 1v1 me on Shipment with M40 ACOGs? I'll add you on Steam when I get my life back. OT: I actually don't have an issue with the space theme. CoD has been hyperbolic melodrama since MW2 so something utterly ludicrous like this is fitting. At least there are no aliens (aliens weren't in the trailer, right?). No excuse for the CoD4 remake not to include all the MP maps and dedicated servers. I'll stick with the original unless the new one has dedicated servers and the community switches to it. Playing that gloriously neoconservative masterpiece of a campaign in HD might make it worth it. Better than the morally ambiguous "gritty" shooters of today. I'm in the same boat now as well. I have Black Ops 3, hardly play it now. I'm running through Dark Souls at the moment. Uncharted 4 tomorrow. I still need to finish AC: Syndicate, Dark Souls II, Dark Souls III, Dying Light, Just Cause 3, Life Is Strange, MGSV: PP, Quantum Break, The Order 1886, The Witcher 3. I'm also playing Star Wars Battlefront as well off and on. Really mainly Dark Souls B.C. on X1 for the most part. Have put in 115 hours in a months time just on Dark Souls. I'm probably close to 3/4 complete maybe. But, if I don't get to play CoD:4 Remaster for nine months or so or when ever it gets a stand alone release. I'm fine with this. Too much right now. Oh yeah, Battlefield 1 in October. Edited May 9, 2016 by esmittystud101 Tali vas Normandy

X S
Esmitty, they confirmed it can't be purchased without purchasing Infinite Warfare. They're essentially trying to "cook the books" on sales for Infinite Warfare by bundling it with COD4. It's a dirty and cheap trick, but maybe this community feedback will knock some sense into them. They don't even need community feedback. They're only bundling it to boost IW sales. Then they're gonna release it separate so they can get more sales. Cause you know just as well as I do, some people are only gonna buy this game for the remaster and then sell the disk on ebay or back to gamestop. Richard Power Colt
So uhh.. I'm not sure if I fully get why people disliked the trailer so much. Is it just the fact that you can't buy Cod 4 separately?
Tali vas Normandy
^That and probably because it's going in a direction where most people don't want it to go. I honestly haven't even bothered to watch it yet. When they release something more gameplay focused then I'll look at that. I find the fact that it has more dislikes then the Ghostbusters trailer hilarious Edited May 10, 2016 by Tali vas Normandy

Yes, we all know this on release day. They will release CoD: 4 Remaster as a stand alone way after the release of Infinate Warfare. It might be six to nine months after. But they will release it. Of course there not going to say that now. They want you to go buy Infinate Warfare. Can we start thinking like a business and less like gamers when it comes to matters like that. Tech-Noir
Apparently if you have that Best Buy gaming membership thing, when all is said and done you can basically get the remaster of COD4 for around $30-35. Since you're getting 20% off the Legacy Edition and extra trade value if you give them the copy of Infinite Warfare back. Contemplating having my friend do this for me since he has the gaming membership cause as much as I'd love to play the campaign of Infinite Warfare just to see how crazy it can get, don't really want to pay $80. X S
Wait, Tech-Noir, if the COD Remaster is a digital voucher only, you could buy IW, then resell the voucher for twice the price like a greedy bastard on Ebay. lol, still... out of principle, I can't justify lending a dime to Activision even to do that.
