Jerking For Soup
I'm only going to get this terrible game because of the great game that's included with it, COD 4. So many memories and nostalgia, hopefully this game has the same feels to it. Member's Only
dudclub55
after patch 1887s would be acceptable, pre patch would be f*cked. i cant wait to get a gold deagle again though those were boss m40a3 1v1s soon lads f*ck no. f*ck snipers, broke ass overly versatile infinite range shotguns. I'll be using guns that have actual balance factors, like the lovely M1014 and G3.

Jerking For Soup
f*ck quickscoping. There's a reason it's been developed into a meme. That's all I wanted to say. The Snipers weren't too great in COD 4 anyway and people mostly started using snipers when MW2 came out with the intervention.

Jerking For Soup
u avin a giggle the m40a3 was the start of the sniping community It was the start, but quickscoping never reached its prime until MW2. The Snipers in Black Ops 1 sucked too. The Intervention grew quickscoping to what it is today.
Sombra
ye it definitely increased tenfold with the intervention/mw2 but it was there in cod4 too tldr how to snipe: oh man the nostalgia CrysisAverted and Member's Only 2 join the 11%
CoreyDog2014
Well, Infinite War has just been made to look well and truly rubbish. The new Battlefield 1 trailer is epic. Im hoping CoD4 ends up as a stand alone, really don't want to spend £79.99 on a copy of CoD4 as Infinite War, to be kind to it, looks and sounds awful. CoreyDog2014
I love BF1 but I'm still far more hyped for COD4:RM standalone. If it comes as a standalone, fantastic, I will be a very happy bunny. From what I've seen though, its only bundled with IW isn't it? I cannot justify £80 for CoD4:RM, could possibly get it, then just sell IW on eBay unopened... Might get a few quid back.. Might have a plan now. Not sure if I really want to contribute getting the pile of rubbish that is IW into the charts though...

X S
Can I just say that the Activision CEO's most recent statements in response to the dislikes on the trailer is total f*cking damage control. I wouldn't be surprised if he was on suicide watch. His statements are totally contradictory of reality. Creative risks? Honestly, I'm not even trying to sound sour about it, but COD is the definition of a well-streamlined franchise that takes very little risks. The franchise wouldn't be COD if it was so overly "creative" as he implies. This is just a feeble and passive-aggressive attempt to put a positive spin on a terrible reveal. This guy and his company are a joke, beholden only to their stock-holders. And the dislikes were low on BO2? He's forgetting that the like ratio was well above the dislikes, and BO2 was actually something new. The series had never been set in the future. Infinite Warfare is not new or creative. It's a rehashed idea, and the very fact that they've bundled it with a remaster of COD4 is only further proof of how desperate they were to appease others into buying it. Again, COD4 remastered is not worth $80. On the second part of your question related to Infinite Warfare, first of all you got to love the passion of gamers. This is an industry like no other, and a fan base like no other and we love that our fans treat this franchise like it’s their own and have such strong points of view about it. There just aren’t many entertainment franchises on Earth that can generate the kind of passion that Call of Duty can and that’s a good thing. Secondly, of course we know that there are people in our community who are nostalgic for the boots-on-the-ground-style gameplay, and that’s why we made Modern Warfare Remastered. But we also have millions of people in our community who want to have new innovative experiences in the game each year and Infinite Warfare is going to deliver that. And the good news is this year we found a way to deliver both in one package while keeping our community together. And while of course we see the passionate opinions online, we also look at other measurements. And the fact is, while it’s very early, pre-orders are off to a very strong start. Views of the reveal trailer that you referred to are up and in fact the number of likes per view on the Infinite Warfare reveal trailer are also the highest we’ve ever seen. We’ve seen this in the franchise before. The reveal trailer for Black Ops II, which took the franchise into the future for the first time, had the most dislikes of any reveal trailer we had ever made at that time. And that, of course, went on to become our most successful game ever. And right now, the franchise has never been stronger. We have more people playing Black Ops III, a game that takes place in the future with boost jumps and fictitious weapons and all the rest, than any game in our history. So what we know for sure is that if we always just did what worked in the past and never took any creative risks, we wouldn’t have a franchise. The day to worry is the day we stop trying new things. CoreyDog2014
Because of that statement, I have never wanted a COD to fail in sales as much as i want this one to. I'm hoping if/when IW fails, it will be the kick up the behind they need to actually provide what their core customer base wants. Sadly, think the game will be a sales "success", it wont sell the amount previous CoDs have but, just because of its name, it will sell well enough for them to claim it as a success. Thus they will jut carry on this rather awful path until another franchise takes the crown. Honestly believe the CoD many of us know is dying if not already dead. CoD is dead, long live CoD. Jerking For Soup
It's things like this that makes me wish COD 4, despite how great it was from a nostalgic viewpoint, was never created or thought of ever. Scratch that, COD was never thought of, ever. Advanced Warfare was bullsh*t, as well as Ghosts, and now, as well as Infinite Warfare. TBH though, I do wish they recreated MW2 instead of COD4 in some aspects. Reason being, MW2 was way better than 4 IMO due to the Intervention and all the great maps and weapons such as Terminal and Rust. Hell, even MW2's campaign was better than 4. CoD4 had its plus sides though and was also a very good game for the time. They are probably going to release a MW2 remastered for the next pile of rubbish they release in 2017, got to be a reason for people to buy there next Halo/Titan fall game. X S
Still find it strange yet funny how the roles have reversed regarding treyarch and IW Why is it so hard to understand? The IW of today is not the IW of the past. The majority of the original IW team left and formed Respawn after MW2. That's why MW3 sucked. The current IW team is nothing but a group of bench-warmers to fill in the void. It's a joke. Treyarch is the only original developer left from the series, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think David Vohnderhaar said he was leaving after BO3. That wouldn't be a good thing.
