has anybody pre ordered yet? i just did and it came with a free poster. im pretty excited it dosent seem like that bad of a game. i cant wait to see actual gameplay thats the best part. who else wants to see another beta i sure do.

Graphics look MW2/MW3 tier imo, also kind of miss games with less detail like cod4, makes target finding less of a chore.

I actually find it to be interesting, I have mixed feelings on the whole space sh*t but it looks fun. Then again, I was a fan of MW3, which a lot of people hated for some reason.. I feel like I am obviously in the minority.

 

I used to play the crap out of MW3. Loved that game! The space thing though...it's just not for me.

I didn't want to get Blops 3 at first, but the desire to play with friends made me buy it, it's not half bad provided you don't get a match with a Clan of try hards. This new game is just 10/10 biggest pile of s*it and bulls*it I've ever seen, forcing people to buy it to get an remaster.

Don't forget Far Cry games because the map for Far Cry Primal, it looks exactly the same as Far Cry 4's Kyrat but with prehistoric coating and slight modifications. At least Ubisoft didn't try to be COD with Assassin's Creed this year.

No hate for MW3 here. In fact, MW3 is probably my most enjoyable multiplayer experience. That is always a tough one to pick from MW2/MW3, because MW2 was more a social fun, all my friends would play and it was a laugh. MW3 was more me just going balls to the wall solo.

The Face-Off mode with the small maps for 3v3 2v2 and 1v1 in mw3 was amazing, actually brought me back to play the game after I had lost all interest, that and Elite clan leveling and stuff was great.

The reason it was hated was because it was too similiar to MW2 and didn't bring much to the table gameplay wise. Had the game released now it would be different since people are tired of the futuristic COD.

if you ask me, it's not a case of balancing issues, it's a case of players not adapting to different weapons. I find that the vast majority of so-called underpowered weapons just require a change in playstyle, certain perks or a few attachments.

 

If you want to know what overpowered is, look at people using Slug rounds on Battlefield Bad Company 2 to snipe. That's overpowered, you could demolish someone from the other side of the map with them (keep in mind that these maps were HUGE). A lot of the 'overpowered' guns in COD are just better suited to the typical run and gun play style most people use. It's no coincidence that the vast majority of SMGs in the series are considered overpowered, they're light and work well at close-mid range.

The Akimbo FMG9 with Specialist Strike Package really kills the balancing in MW3, I played that class and it raged other players because of how Specialist can add 3 more perks to your disposal after each kills. The Support Package was really useless as COD doesn't have much teamwork than in Battlefield 3 or CSGO.

 

MW3's campaign is way underrated than MW2, COD4, and Black Ops 1, which you fight against Russian forces throughout Europe and New York City and do you remember the iconic character of Modern Warfare series Soap Mactavish died in this game? Most of you haven't seen it before for almost 5 years and it's way sadder than Ghost and Roach's death in MW2:

tbh balanced cod games are a diamond in the rough, every one of them has (atleast from the best of my memory) had that one gun that gets used by everyone because it trumps all others. MW2 UMP45, MW M16, AW BAL27 etc and so forth although MW always felt the most balanced to me. That's not to say that using those weapons is an auto win but a 6 man SnD with UMP45's may aswell be a f*cking auto win lol. If you want overpowered weapons who remembers MW2 Akimbo Model 1887's pre patch? THAT was OP as f*ck.

The P90 was ungodly in CoD4. The fact that it basically gave infinite sprint without Extreme Conditioning was bad, but the 100 round mag and zero recoil made it horrid in hardcore SnD.

 

 

The Thumper was horrid on maps like Wasteland where people could spam the spawn.

I'm torn, I really loved the model's in mw2 and I still used them constantly after the patch, they were just so fun. When I saw the model in black ops I really hoped we would be able to use it but nope. Then when I saw it in mw3 I really hoped we could use it with akimbo, but nope! I really hope we get akimbo 1887s someday soon.

I never really considered specialist to be overpowered in MW3/Ghosts. In MW3 you unlocked every pro perk the game had if you managed to get specialist bonus (11 kills was it?!) and weapon proficiency's I believe. which does sound OP, but in all honesty to really capitalize on the specialist bonus you had to have a very fast paced play style, which made you easier to kill than someone sitting at the back of the map camping for a predator missile. Of course you could camp and get some mild benefit with specialist, but nowhere near as much as you would if you went balls to the wall.

 

For example a camper would have the usual campy perk setup, cold blooded, blind eye ETC, so they wouldn't gain all the much advantage sitting in a corner, because how many perks can you really need to stare down an iron sight and not move?! So it didn't really aid them, as most of the perks would be a waste.

 

But someone running about with an MP7, having speed and the ability to sound whore the enemy and see claymores through walls, that is the kind of player that would really benefit from all the perks. If they were good enough. It done nothing to change how fast you were killed and every decision you made was still your own. No amount of perks would save you from rushing a spawn too aggressively and paying the price.

Granted, it does remind me of Mass Effect quite a bit (a lot) but I would take this over another corridor shooting "Mitchell, do x, do y" f*ckfest. If the game expands the pseudo linear sandbox gameplay of BO2's campaign to something much more open and free form, and does it right, I'll be seriously impressed.
