NightmanCometh96
I still remember when we were all watching Sony's E3 2014 conference; IIRC the common assumption on GTAF was that a PC/current-gen version would be announced at E3. When they showed that trailer, I have to say, I was in awe. The music, the scenery, everything was pure magic about it. I remember there being a lot of optimism on the forums after that. I even abandoned my plan of getting a 1080p TV + PS4 and decided to build my own PC instead. I'm pretty happy with that decision, though I did eventually buy a PS4 anyway. Then in September 2014, that abysmal A Picket Fence and a Dog Named Skip trailer was released, on the same day the first PC delay was announced... MrEnigma
I had said for a long time prior to release that I was going to wait and do some serious upgrades or build a new rig that was better able to meet the specs. I was having trouble running through SA again (cant remember what the hiccup was) and was perfectly satisfied bouncing back & forth between IV & its expansions and Max Payne 3. Then one day, I decided to download V for sh*ts & giggles to see how it would run, found it smooth as silk and the rest is history NightmanCometh96

I wish some of the RDR speculation posters could see this and how absolutely untrue most of it was, and how easily it is to mislead people. "Steam two weeks after launch" this is the funniest part. Also, that f*cking feel when the countdown got to 0 and Stevie Nick's started, shivers and hype to the max. I'm so glad it came to PC, I wouldn't still be playing GTA V if it didn't. I hope Rockstar finally notices how serious the PC community is as GTA V being one of the best selling games on Steam and releases the next RD for us too. f*ck it, I don't care if they do another 1+ year delay just to make it as good as the version we have now, just pls rockstar. Damn, it took me more than f*cking 3 hours to those sh*t done! And me in a ragemode and cursing at R* lol. In the end, the day-one patch ran the game very very well and that only on the release date! t0grul
I was crying on 2011, November the 2nd, when the first trailer came out. What a fantastic day it was. People were analyzing the video frame by frame. Also, yeah, the Genesis thread was its beginning (before the trailer). Good times
