Whats the reasoning for yacht heli's disabling passive?

Sometimes the area you are docked is a warzone. We can go passive in a military aircraft, but not a private, luxury vehicle?

 

Is there any official word from rockstar as to why passive is not allowed when using your yacht heli?

I think there might be a possibility of yacht passive mode defenses glitches if they ever did that.

Probably to prevent any type of glitch involving the yacht defenses/smoking/drinking inside the heli.

 

However, the Supervolito you can buy from the website has passive mode disabled too and the luxor, which has these player actions as a feature does have working passive mode.

Apparently because the interior of luxury vehicles have solid objects modelled inside them. Champagne bottles, tv screens and whatnot. Hence why all the vehicles that have passive mode disabled all have these items in the cabin.

It's just BS. A jet can activate passive all day and night but a 10 million dollar plane can't.

It's only with the Luxor Deluxe, Swift Deluxe (Gold or yacht-colors), and SuperVolito Carbon (yacht or non-yacht).

You can drink in them.

The swift deluxe has never had passive. Remember it's from ill gotten gains, Rockstars big joke at glitchers, the have no passive because its funny. The super volto not having passive is just so it's consistent .

If this is true than a Rockstar is lazy. This problem has been around forever.

It's funny that I didn't even notice this. I've maybe used passive once or twice since the Executives and Other... came out. Although I do make liberal use of yacht defences. On the rare occasion that I leave my boat and the Swift isn't destroyed, I tend to head straight out to sea before circling back to land.

 

Anyway, I sympathise with this concern even though I don't generally use it. It would be a fine functionality to have.

If you were to fly it in passive and someone would fly through you they would explode as they hit the champagne. See the champagne as a cinder block attached to an aircraft which can't go passive.
