Neon-Noir 198X
As the title says I loaded up my copy for the first time since December today, and any bugs and glitches that I was encountering then are now seemingly fixed. There's no more stuttering, no issues with audio, no menu text fading and most importantly; no physics bugs with running the game at 60fps. The menu and ingame text also now seems to have a black outline. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me? The PSN version apparently received an update on the 19th of this month, which included 'general fixes a improvements' according to patch notes, so could this be related? Are you using SilentPathc and Widescreen fix? Because all fixes and improvements you mentioned above are what these patches do exactly. DEALUX
SilentPatch doesn't fix frame rate issues. I just died while running away from the first safe house when I ran the game at 60 FPS. The game is also riddled with sound bugs at that frame rate. Its speed seems to be tied to the frame rate too, at least partially, which renders the game unplayable at high frame rates. Edit: I don't know why R* would provide an option to unlock the frame rate if it breaks the game. Edited May 21, 2016 by Kristian. Spider-Vice
Probably because it wouldn't break so hard at 30-40 FPS even though it still did. I guess back in 2001 30-40 FPS were amazing except in Quake.
