Encountering a Legit Rank 1,000+

In any shooter game, rank or 'XP' can give you a somewhat accurate indication on the player's PvP skills. In Grand Theft Auto however, considering the broad spectrum of activities and playstyles a player can engage in, his level wouldn't be a reliable indicator for PvP skills.

Mine is 1.5 FYI. It would be 1.75 on PS4 only.

My second account has a 453.25 K/D. But I'm two more month imprisoned in bad sport with no other players.

That k/d is horrible tho so with over 100k player kills you basically got your ass handed to you the whole time you've been playing gta thats nothing to brag about. You should be atleast 2.5 k/d imo well thats atleast for me to respect it.

A player can easily be 600 rank. Day one players are probably above that. It's still no reflection of skill though. I'm 160 and I regularly defeat ranks that are more than 3 times that. Sometimes I get my ass kicked by the better ones.. Similarly i've been in battles with rank 100's who are fu*king awesome, seriously good snipers and very difficult to beat.

 

I am seeing more and more high ranks that are clearly fake, not in the 1000's, but around the 300-700 mark. I'm still not sure how they get that. Is it a bought account or a hack lobby 'job'? However, they tend to be not very good.

Levels 300-700 is from missions or things other than just hanging around in freeroam

i don't think i even have a 1000 kills i'm probably a higher rank than kills. i'm not sure if i love that or hate that. I think most of those are in closed crew sessions where i gamble in planes and helicopters and eventually the house wins.

Another thing, free-aim takes a little more skill than robot-aim. If you're a robot-aim player and you go into a free-aim lobby, you'll most likely get your ass handed to you in pvp.

I'm a level 347 and I think I play to much sometimes.

 

On ps3 about a year ago I was friends with a guy from the states who was a legit 800 and odd, he was online all the time, I would like get up go on for a bit and he would be on, then go back on later on and he would still be there, I don't think he ever slept.

Ah, missed the 'almost exclusively' in freemode bit in the OP.

 

As a hypothetical question OP, I think it's self-evident. You play a game long enough, you get better at it. If someone has played half the amount of time you have they're going to be slightly worse than you. Ranking up almost exclusively in freemode PvP is an extremely difficult thing to do, and I doubt that there's even 1 player who has done that, the ammo bill alone would make it impossible.

 

The difficulty with your question is that there are people who are just naturally good at video games. Also, players who have played nothing but First or Third person shooters prior to GTAO will probably find that they can wipe the floor with a lot of people. However, all things being equal as far as intelligence and natural video game skill are concerned, I would think a legit rank 1000 would be better than a legit rank 500. Maybe not twice as good, but certainly better. Just makes sense, the higher rank's played twice as long as the lower rank.

It is Oblr's "opinion" that the three players in his crew that are level 1000 are "legit."

There's no knowledge or fact to back that statement up, period.

Therefore, it's his opinion (unless he personally sat and watched all three players level up, incrementally, to 1000 via legitimate gameplay).

 

I agree to your suggestion that the same three players are also "awesome" would be purely opinion, as well.

 

My entire reply was to the statement that because Oblr stated that three level 1000 players in his crew were "legit," (which again, is his opinion, not a fact), then therefore they exist (again, no evidence to support it, just his belief which is opinion which is not fact).

I don't mean to sound like a namby or anything, but it is what it is.

Here's an analogy that should ring true; you're a brand new wild-west cowboy looking guy who walks into a bar, demanding a shoot-out with your rival, you're dressed in the same garb as everyone else and everyone has always used a revolver in a shoot-out, of course. Well, you get into that gun-fight and bring a bazooka. You protest that you can use whatever the hell you want because it's a shoot-out and technically a bazooka also "shoots" something... see how that works? You can't waltz in and decide to apply a different standard, and say "sure, I can demand whatever I want".

 

That breaches the rules of evidence and formal logic. If you need a really detailed explanation, I can go back a long, long ways but you'll have to pay for me being your tutor.

How does 'opinion' turn to 'legit' when the only actual way to prove it is for a person over level 1000 tell you they're legit? And since when on the GTA forums does a person telling you his legit PROVE his legit???? I will prove this point now:

I am 100% legit - i have never cheated an online game in my life, nor will i ever. I have been playing GTA and having fun just about everyday for at least a few hours a day with my crew doing nothing but various kinds of jobs / races etc and i am rank 1008 with 163 days play time. That's legit, but here on the forum, how does a person prove it? No matter what evidence i give, someone here will call bullsh*t and think of a reason why its bullsh*t (or as you put it ' opinion').

If a guy says 3 of his crew members are legit 1000 plus, I would believe him because i know its possible - i've done it myself.

100 kills a day is very doable, even in Freemode. Play RnG or the Verified Capture Raid: Claustrophobia and 1000+ a day is doable.

I know players who got 1800 a day by playing RnG or that verified Capture.

 

 

Btw, Fonshway is closing in on 200k.
