I mostly do PvP (when I'm on) and I'm only 750. Bear in mind that back in the day I used to grind the hell out of missions. Someone who didn't do that? They'd probably be a fair bit lower.

 

 

Rank doesn't mean anything in pvp. I'm rank 1k and only do pve.

^See this is the kind of thing I mean; it's mainly PvE people who get the really high ranks. i'm a custom LTS kinda Guy and i rank up very fast. Could be because the LTS are player made though. Rockets vs (insert name) makes you rank up prety fast. Edited April 28, 2016 by jdv95

High rank can be achieved by alot of races or heist bashing its the low ranked free roam warriors you have to watch out for

If it was possible for someone to hit rank 1000 just from gaining RP from killing other players then I would consider them to be a formidable opponent. That's a vast amount of experience and experience counts for a lot in these things. You'd have to imagine that if they spent every minute available playing PVP that they'd be good at it too or why would they bother.

If you have played this game for 3 years.. And played alot of missions/races/death matches and are successful you rank up all the time.

99% of my full friend list on GTA are beyond rank 500. But they have played over 10k races. Or been in over 10k death matches and played in missions and heists a 100 times over.

My main character is lvl 624 and my 2nd character she's lvl 496 all legit so yea theres that.

My second account has a 453.25 K/D. But I'm two more month imprisoned in bad sport with no other players.

I have a friend who is a legit level 1020. I am a level 309 and I can kill him regularly when we play TDMs. He does not do much free roam. Almost nobody can be a legit level 1000 or more if they spend a lot of time in free roam. My friend is a level 1000 because he does lots of races and jobs. I have encountered lots of people higher level than me and I destroy them because I am experienced in free roam combat. I have also had my ass handed to me by level 100s. Though I suspect usually in those cases it is a second character for them. Basically what I am saying is I don't think level means much in free roam combat.

I have rank 610 and 312 approaching 65K kills. I didnt play gtao the 1st five months it was out and missed time due to playing other games.

Im ranked 1006 and its legit no rp glitches or anything. I stopped freeroaming in lobbies back in early 2014 due to hackers siphoning bank accounts and became a contact mission exclusive player. Now and then i may try free mode.But due to my lack of experience i found myself having a hard time with freemode warriors

The best RP per minute I've found is playing missions w crew members and manual aim. Rooftop Rumble, no deaths and 1 crew member teammate pays about 3600 Rp.

 

It's also really fun to rank up at missions because you'll get that much better as a player. If you're really good at missions, you'll probably be good at pvp too.

Crew leader/friend is legit 1400+, I think 1450 but he recently quit playing GTAO. Pretty sure he never glitched, because it seemed like he was playing 10-12 hours a day, or more.

100 kills a day is doable, I've reached this amount a couple of times. But to reach this amount every day either means you have absolutely no life or you're using exploits/glitches. I think the highest legit player kills are around 50k.

A player can easily be 600 rank. Day one players are probably above that. It's still no reflection of skill though. I'm 160 and I regularly defeat ranks that are more than 3 times that. Sometimes I get my ass kicked by the better ones.. Similarly i've been in battles with rank 100's who are fu*king awesome, seriously good snipers and very difficult to beat.

 

I am seeing more and more high ranks that are clearly fake, not in the 1000's, but around the 300-700 mark. I'm still not sure how they get that. Is it a bought account or a hack lobby 'job'? However, they tend to be not very good.
