New PSU - very loud

So I've recently got a new PSU for my PC, however I've had issues with it being very loud under load, to the point where my desk is vibrating from the fans. While idling it's fairly quiet.

It's an EVGA Supernova 550W GS Gold 80+ Modular PSU (220-GS-0550-V3)

PC Specs:

CPU: AMD A10-6800K 4.1GHz

GPU: ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB

Case: stock Asus OEM

Motherboard: Asus M11BB FM2

12GB RAM

PC is 2 years old.

I've had noise issues before, especially after upgrading the CPU, but this is ridiculous.

sounds like the fan/fan bearing is f*cked

when i turn my pc on after its been off all day the PSU fan its very loud and sounds horrible almost like a grinding noise, put it down to either the fan bearing being f*cked so it doesnt spin up as quickly, or i just need to clean it out but once its booted up its fine

prolly should buy a new psu

Hmm, that might be an issue then.

Only theory I have is the bad temperature readings (sometimes as high as 110 C) that is impossible, then somehow this makes the fans work harder?

Right, I probably didn't explain myself properly. The fans work fine, there isn't particularly anything abnormal. There aren't any weird noises or the like.

It's simply the fans are spinning faster and louder than they should. It's perfectly quiet when idling - still audible, but fine. It gets loud when under heavy load, for example when gaming.

Go with Corsair.

My psu doesn't make any noise.
