Hello and welcome back to GTA Forums "If It Was A Lobby" Championship. I'm your host, Jerry Mahbawlse, and as always in the company of co-host Tom Diddlin, for the Los Santos Daily - your daily dose of LSD!

Thanks for having me, Jerry, and this competition is just like my ex-wife; fierce, ruthless and it has 26 people in it. As the pages roll on we saw Maxx, lastly reported on having a low score of 8, now ditched out of the lobby and sent back into Single Player. Poor guy, he hasn't even done the tutorial missions with Franklin yet. If I had to be excited for something in my life, I'd say it was about this whole thing and my new tattoo of a lady licking a mustard-covered hot dog, Jerry. This is quite competitive for a competition!

This is absolutely a competition, Tom, as the numbers play with each other more this time, like a nudist beach at night time. Horse With No Name is teetering on the edge with a 3, TKDSnovelist not too far behind with a 10. Jenkii and ICant following with a 14 while the others are all in a good range of one another. If someone you know is turned on by numbers, tell them to tune in and watch them get all hot and bothered as they moan over the numbers. I can't imagine how turned on they'll be when Horse gets nearer to a one!

That's nice, Jerry, but Horse is still in the game and the real question to ask yourself is who in the high numbers will have a tumble. Who's going to get numerical hemorrhoids and have trouble sitting down because once your score is going down you just can't stand up. It's a tense game and honestly Jerry I'm clenching my butthole just thinking about it. We're quickly heading for commercial and we'll be back soon to report on any changes that may happen since. Thanks for tuning in, I've been Tom, I'm still Tom, along with Jerry and as always, "If there's a wagon to jump on, at least put a mattress on it so I don't get hurt when jumping".

It's only been a couple days since this game began and for my first thread, it's been quite the experience. From its volatile birth to the growing pains over seven pages and the relative calm recently, it's been rather interesting to say the least. I've been doing all I can to keep the beast on track, but it truly takes a village. Whether it's correcting scores, reminding fellow posters it's just a game or the comedic quips and good vibes, I'm legitimately thankful to see the community come together in a positive way. I'm very appreciative of that. Sure it hasn't always been roses, but the game is flowing along very well now. It'll be cool to see where it goes.

 

This thread began during the close of the Thrown Weapon Elimination Game to spice things up. After suggestions to eliminate cars, guns, locations, and even adversary modes, we needed something that would avoid fatigue when the pages began to add up. "What if we eliminated each other?". It was a simple idea that caught on like wildfire.

 

It got the whole thread excited so much so that almost everyone there volunteered. In about 24hrs we had a list of about 26 names, which we later opened up once this thread went live. There's been repeated questions by people asking why they weren't on the list, but everything just kind of...happened. There's been labels of this being a popularity contest and I've already seen many people take it to heart. As the OP, let me tell you, it wasn't meant to be taken as a "Who's who of GTA Forums".

 

There's some names you know, there's some names you don't know. It's the luck of the draw that we have the people we currently do. When it comes to voting, I hope that jovial attitude prevails. It's not supposed to be taken so seriously.

 

I posted this message with the graph because for me, personally, this is how I even got hype about these games in the first place. It's back and forth changes in momentum; the strategic votes against one item to make sure another is stronger down the line. Keeping certain items afloat so others can float under the radar. Maybe its a heated battle between the top contenders. The process of elimination in and of itself is intriguing. This is the appeal. Votes don't have a criteria beyond up this and down that. The why isn't so important - opinions are like assholes. It's more about where the game is moving as a whole.

 

I don't mean to preach to anyone or be such a cop. My only goal is avoiding a lock because hey I want to play this game too. So the rules are there for balance, if anything. We all want to have a good time.

 

Public lobbies are full of interesting characters like this. There's people in big crews and lone wolves, the racers and the freedom warriors, those doing their dailies or planning something big for the editor. We all play GTA for different reasons with different perspectives. There's a multitude of reasons to partner up with someone or to kill them. Just as there's multiple reasons to upvote someone or downvote them in this game. At the end of the day K/D doesn't matter for much and truth be told neither does up or downvotes on a web forum. But its all in good fun. Keep that in mind.

All the deductions were basically because I was skimming through the list and looked for names I wasn't familiar with so don't take it personal. Horse was going to get eliminated anyway so might as well. Once again, nothing personal.

The reasoning behind Texas:

 

 

 

To tell the truth, there was a bit of a cold war between me and Texas - no, Texas and I. He had previously brought up an old argument that was going nowhere, made it as heated as he could and started up the insults, then took things a little far for my liking. I was hoping to avoid a conflict, but he dropped a minus one on me. Hopefully things don't escalate to the minus two's.

 

Under the cover of PM's, he tends to let his inner spiciness out, and it just upsets the vibes within me:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The reasoning behind Fozzie:

 

 

Fozzie gets my downvote because he's been consistently downvoting me throughout the game. Apparently, he's really helpful and friendly outside of the online section. I have a hard time believing that though, and I don't recall ever seeing him not being a d*ck, so yeah.

 

 

The reasoning behind Miss-RI95:

 

 

 

Miss-RI95 because she's cool, and is getting unnecessarily downvoted purely because not many people know her.

 

 

 

As a final note, in my defense, here's why you should give off good vibes about me:

 

The rumour that I still spam Hunter business around is actually unfounded, and simply a smear campaign. As evidenced by this partially redacted post, even the mods agree that I've toned down my Hunter-ness:

 

 

 

 

I have contributed many tips, tricks, and guides that, believe it or not, are appreciated by the few who read them:

 

 

I always do my utmost to keep things civil in debates as long as everyone else is. I try to be a gentleman too, which might account for some of the hate/spiciness I receive off other males.

 

Anyway, people have their votes. I'm just trying to clear away some of the bad vibes people have spread around about me.
