Oysters, Muscles, et cetera.

The Oysters are one of the easiest tasks in 4 stars actually. You can get most of them without gaining a wanted level if you keep diving under water. The only one which i always hated was the one on the far top-right of the map, in the water under the boat.

Maybe not "hard" but still time consuming. zmoonchild's Video is 90 minutes long and CJ obviously gets hungry every 48-49 in game minutes, which can be problematic and you must do what I said above if the Fast Food Restaurants aren't unlocked by dating Katie early.

I wonder if it's possible to use an Undrowning Zone and get a Vehicle down there and drive in the Ocean on the Sea Floor to obtain all the Oysters? What do you mean not getting a wanted level? I know the boundary zones in which you can be out of to avoid the wanted level all together and fly around the map, but how to get all the Oysters without triggering a wanted level? Doesn't seem doable...

You don't get a wanted level when you are underwater. Some of the Oysters that are next to the infinite ocean surrounding SA can be gotten without any Wanted level. And you could try undrowning a Maverick or another Chopper, i don'' t think a car would be useful since alot of Oysters are floating mid-sea

Yeah, maybe I can grab a Maverick from San Fierro Airport and then take it to the Undrowning Zone(s) and get it to the bottom and be able to use it for all the Oysters. If that is possible, that would be amazing lol...

I'll look into it eventually...

You don't get a wanted level in restricted territory if you are underwater or swimming on the surface, unless you touch bottom, try to enter a boat or sea plane, jump up above the surface, or enter a military zone.

I don't bother to swim great distances; I enjoy the 4-star challenge anyway. The oyster collection is a different kind of 4 star challenge than most as CJ will often end up stranded without a vehicle in a remote area. It's not all that tough once you learn to keep the police maverick from getting into firing position. The lack of handy vehicles is balanced with no-ped zones, so foot cops are seldom an issue.

It is my habit to regularly feed CJ chili, ice cream, noodles, snacks and pop, and to top off his calorie level before starting long missions like Taxi or Paramedic. Eating right and plenty of exercise was once thought to prevent the gym glitch; now I know better but... It's a good habit; why stop? But I tend to agree. I don't think fat is as necessary as I once did. Unless you want to meet Michelle without the oyster bonus so you can get her Racing Suit on a master save.

@OrionSR, I just watched fnxrak's 1 hour and 50 minutes long Video on the Oysters and LITERALLY, he got ALL of them except 11 of them without the 4 star wanted level. However, a lot of swimming was involved. He stopped at Cluckin' Bell and Pizza Stack twice and each time, bought 4 $10 Meals for the fat. Now, he would park his Seasparrow close by the boundaries of Los Santos and then swim far, far distances. Idk if this is possible at this point WITHOUT the Fast Food Restaurants...Or at least all in a row without saving or going to get like 50 Sprunks at a time...

I should mention in his Video, he only got 49/50, actually since like you said about the Girlfriend Trick with raising their percent. I don't care for this. I just want to get all 50 done in the Starter Save. I'll see soon enough, though. Booting up SA in about 30-45 minutes and gonna do the Snapshots! Tomorrow, the Horeseshoes, and then the following day the Oysters. Then finally, to get the Hydra in the SF Impound for the Starter Save! :D:p

Having the fast food restaurants open sure helps with the Oysters. Getting Katie as a girlfriend and initiating a failed date to unlock the fast food restaurants literally takes less then 5 minutes - and its one of the things I do very early in the starter save as its easier to manage fat then. All the swimming for the oysters will really drain your fat and then muscle. Sitting in front of a Sprunk machine for 5 minutes just to get a very small amount of fat just isn't efficient when going for the oysters. I understand that for everything else in the starter save, having fat isn't really needed and its kinda impressive you've done nearly all the starter save on just vending machines. Just don't know your reasoning for not opening them already though, when its quick and can work as a time saver given all the time spent at vending machines.

Did 50 Snapshots yesterday. Got busted 30/50, then re-did 30/50 and came back to LS to save. Went back after saving to finish the other 20. 2 Safehouse Visits instead of all in a row, saving only once. I'll do the 50 Horseshoes today in LV, as well. Might do the same. Do about 25-30-35 and then save and then come back to finish the rest. We'll see...The Horseshoes seem to be in much more secluded places and not out in the open so much like the Snapshots were, so I feel like I will survive slightly better. I just hate the layout of LV and get confused at times, especially since I never did Horseshoes WITHOUT a Jetpack after Green Goo. I always used to do them like that. Same for the Snapshots. I never used a Bike and especially on 4 stars like I did yesterday. Still wasn't that bad, though. I know I have the ability to pull all of this off...

I have about 7-10% of Fat and about 7-10% Muscle. I haven't lost it yet doing ANYTHING in the Starter Save and it's one of the big reasons I am saving the Oysters for last. Having 0 Meals Eaten in the Stats is pretty cool, too...

Katie doesn't date CJ unless he has a lot more Muscle than I currently have. To get said Muscle, since I can't do it all at once, I would need to save a bunch of times and keep coming back to the Gym near Santa Maria Beach. I won't do that. Plus, I can use my Seasparrow for most Oysters and then save the game and then finish the rest off. It seems like it takes me TWO sessions to get the Collectibles done when dealing with a 4 star wanted level. People who live to do this and got really good at it do it all in a row, but it's better than nothing and I am still doing it in the end. Told you I'd get it done...

Also, I use fnxrak's Videos and not zmoonchild. zmoonchild does these things way too advanced and kinda chaotic. fnxrak does it a more dumbed down method, but certainly a good method if you never did them before. He doesn't try and take shortcuts with doing like 13 of them by standing in one location by shooting through structures. That doesn't work on PS2. I already tried it. Since PS2 Draw Distance is horrid, I have to aim HIGHER or LOWER than what I see in the speedrun Video on Youtube. Every single place he aims is 100% DIFFERENT to where I need to aim. So what I see, is NOT what I have to do. I have to do it differently, thus I said forget it and just followed fnxrak's Video in the end, like I will also do for the Horseshoes...

Just wondering, i can agree getting Wasted is normal, but getting Busted while being in water 99% of the time??? What? Lol

Btw i just did 49/50 Oysters during the breaks at school, had 30/50 before. I was able to do around 14 of those without a Wanted level, i did the remaining 5 with 4 stars but most of the time the stars dissapeared, so i had 3 stars (one time even 2 xD)

Who said about getting busted in the water? I clearly said Snapshots. SFPD Cruiser drove in front of me and blocked me in with a wall to my right. I backed up so I could drive around him and as I backed up, a Cop elbowed me off the Bike and onto the ground, BUSTED. It's simple to get Busted in situations like that when 15 Foot Cops are surrounding you and you can't drive forward since some idiot retard kamikaze is blocking you from moving anywhere but backwards and going in reverse on a Bike is so slow and Cops can easily walk up behind you and bust you...

I'll do the 50 Horseshoes today and then I will look into the Oysters. I can easily get around 30/50 without a Wanted Level as well, maybe even more. Just knowing the boundaries and using a Seasparrow, it can work...

Even the Oyster under the Boat in the upper right hand corner of the Map...fnxrak got it with NO wanted level...You said before that that one sucks. I don't see it sucking when there is no wanted level to deal with or Police Mavericks. There is always a strategic way to do these things. I like fnxrak's Videos for that since he uses a strategy whereas zmoonchild goes all balls to the wall, all out getting them an extremely challenging way. I am not zmoonchild and he did this stuff for years. All his recordings are from like 4-5-6-7 years ago. He's been doing it over and over and mastered it. Me? First time doing it, yet, still DOING IT in the end. I don't care at this point that I have around 33 Safehouse Visits, 6 Pay and Spray Visits, and 11 Hours and 15 Minutes Total Playing Time...I am just happy I have 0 Deaths, 0 Busted, 0 Cheats, and 0 Missions Failed as well as my Rare Vehicle Collection + EC Black Perennial. Only missing the Hydra as well as Horseshoes/Oysters and it's done...

Yeah ok, i thought it was about Oysters, not Snapshots. GTAF is literally taking up 10% of the screen because if i make it bigger the teacher will notice. Anyways,

Don't use Bikes then, use a Car :D

As long as you don't enter a vehicle and don't touch the ocean floor, you will never get a wanted level.

And that Oyster at the Boat, i used to get that one and use the Boat to escape

Yeah, let me use a Car, tires shot, Enforcers and Crusiers ramming the sh*t out of it, doing 180's and 360's until it catches fire and blows up...Time to find another Car...

You must not view anyone's Videos of doing this stuff as NONE of them use a Car. Not one single person who uploads Videos to Youtube on this stuff for the Starter Save is using a Car...It's always a Bike like a PCJ-600 from The Airstrip in the Desert for all the LV Tasks or the NRG-500 that spawns at the Docks in SF for the NRG-500 Challenge. Just move it off the spot the Mission takes place and it won't trigger it. Even to get into Area 69 for the Minigun pickup, you need a Freeway ONLY to be able to do it. Bikes are the ONLY thing to use and they never break down quickly and you can squeeze through all the small areas unlike a useless slow as f*ck Car that gets torn to shreds in seconds...

Good for you. You got lucky. Everyone gets lucky time to time. Now try getting a Turismo to spawn and get it back to LS without it blowing up. All Cars are useless. CJ's animation is so slow that while he's punching the driver and yanking him out of the Vehicle, 10 Foot Cops are surrounding the Vehicle and shooting at it, sometimes NOOSE is around and using Tec-9's as well. Pistols and Tec-9's after about 5 seconds already has the Turismo smoking grey smoke, going on black. Meanwhile it takes CJ about 5 seconds to get into it and start accelerating forward, with a 50/50 chance of the tires popped as well. A few crashes? It's in flames. I don't find the 100% Requirements difficult, even in the Starter Save. I find all the Rare and Special Vehicles the hard part in the Starter Save...

You don't need to save. You work out and do enough reps but not too much, then quickly ride to the Roboi's food mart and get a snack from the vending machine which resets the exercise timer on the outdoor gym, then you can work out again. I only have to go there once and work out twice to get enough muscle to get katie as a girlfriend. Considering the time to get the muscle and then travel to SF, get Katie as a girlfriend and unlock the fast food restaurants - would take 15-20 minutes. The extra muscle can help when swimming on very little to no fat though.

I didn't know that it can be reset like that. I thought only if you save and a day passes or something you can reset it. See? Like I said, this is all new to me. I never used Gyms in general in past Saves besides learning the Gym Moves. I'd gain 100% Muscle, Stamina, and things like that just by reaching 100% Completion. It's neat having my Motorcycle Skill about 95% in the Starter Save, though. I love driving Bikes, so having it maxed in the beginning is amazing. I rarely fall off the Bike, which makes Collectibles quite easy.

The DOWNFALL of Collectibles with 4 stars is being on foot or having a low Bike Stat and falling off easily. With it maxed, it makes the Collectibles really easy. Just gotta be quick to get it, get back on Bike, proceed, repeat...

Actually being on foot is pretty easy, you can avoid hitting the police vehicles trying to ram into you much easier.

I don't even know what you are saying, lol...What you say isn't ANYTHING what I see in the Videos of doing these Collectibles. Quite the OPPOSITE, actually. What you are saying is the exact opposite of how everyone else is doing these things and SUCCEEDING...Plus, I don't even have Infinite Sprint. Won't do Burglary as it adds an Attempt and not to Passed. Plus, I don't need to sprint all the time when I have a Bike. Drive to location, get off, pick up Collectible, get back on, proceed. It can't get any easier...

Try it yourself lol, it is much easier to avoid cop cars on foot than in a vehicle. If you don't believe me, i'll make a short video for you tomorrow.

Oh and thanks for quoting that :3, must've not read that because the topic got locked

And now back on topic: Is there a difference between the amount of fat gained between Hotdog Stands, Sprunk machines etc.?

It's not "back on topic" cuz lil weasel removed this stuff from the "Fat" Topic and locked it and now made this Topic to discuss other stuff, of which I am discussing...

All of those things are the same. I always see people stop in LV at the Chili Dog Stands which are right off of The Strip. They only do it to replenish a bit of their Health, though. They aren't doing it cuz CJ is going hungry...Like the Body Armor Pickup in the Parking Lot by Ammunation as well as the Body Armor Pickup in one of the old broken down Planes at the Airstrip. PCJ-600 always spawns there, too for a good getaway, easy Armor Pickup and a secluded area...

I already did try it myself. The only way a Turismo would spawn was being on foot in LV. The second I jumped down off the Ammunation roof, I was shot at immediately. Being on foot doesn't make any sense. No matter which direction you turn, there is always a pile of cops with Shotguns, Pistols, and Tec-9's shooting me. Sure, I can survive for a minute or two, until I find a Vehicle drive away and HUNT FOR A BIKE. I won't drive Cars around. That's gotta be the dumbest decision in the long run. You'll go through 15 Cars, meanwhile in that time, you can have the SAME Bike...

From zmoonchild:

2pr780p.jpg

It's quite easy to avoid the 4 star wanted level and use a Seasparrow to get a lot of the Oysters. It's all I got left for the Starter Save, so I will do them tomorrow. Using fnxrak's Video, he gets 11 of them in LV, Desert, and SF and then uses a Seasparrow to fly back to LS and lose the wanted level and proceeds to do them in LS. He gets to exactly 31/50 Oysters before he starts swimming such long distances. Only thing is, he does NOT use his Seasparrow and swims it most of the ways since he wanted to MAX the Lung Capacity Stat which I could careless about. So I will probably do 31/50 and then use the Vending Machine a bit and save the game, then use my Seasparrow to do the remaining 19 without triggering the wanted level up near the SF Naval Base and Bayside, etc, etc...

Replying in here because it's more on topic. The reason why the police choppers drown in the water in the dam is the different water levels on each side of the dam confuses the AI causing them to drown. When I'm there collecting the oysters it always happens too. And you'll notice when you fly in the sherman dam with a Seasparrow, the hydra rarely ever spawns and will rarely ever hit you, I guess it confuses it too somewhat.

And I used that map for a while Militia, but then the link went down and I couldn't find it. Its most helpful for collecting those oysters near Bayside and flying across to there without getting a wanted level. When I get the oysters I get all the ones around Los Santos first which helps build up a bit of lung capacity - which helps when getting the ones that require more lung capacity to reach like the two by the boats in the bay area.

Good to see this starter save almost finished. :)

I am gonna do exactly this:

In this Video, fnxrak does the 5 Oysters ON Las Venturas where the Wanted Level is unavoidable and then he gets the ones at the Dam by swimming a bit where the Police Mavericks drown and after he gets those, he uses the nearby Seasparrow to fly to SF Naval Base for the 2 Oysters there and after that, he flies to the one Oyster in SF that is in that little watering hole, kinda by the Tennis Courts. After that, he has 11/50 and flies back to LS to lose the wanted level and then continues to use the Seasparrow to gather up ALL of the LS Oysters (Except the one in Glen Pond, this one he doesn't get at all since he is doing Michelle to 100% in the Starter Save and other Girlfriend Related stuff of which I don't care about). After he is done with LS, COUNTING the one in Glen Pond he doesn't get, he has 31 exactly. So that means only 19 of them left and all of them do NOT need a wanted level, either, if you know how to fly and stay in the boundaries and just park the Seasparrow in the boundary and then swim a bit to the Oyster, then swim back to the Seasparrow and proceed. I will be saving after those 31 and then doing the remaining 19. I know I can do it all in one go and get 50 without saving, however, I am not sure about it since CJ may go hungry. I still have no Fast Food Restaurants open and tbh, I think it's quite cool that I don't and never needed them, either. I won't use them for the Oysters, either. I think it's cool to have 0 Meals Eaten in the Stats while being able to do all of this...

But yeah, I told you I'd finish it. Was only a matter of time and now that I did all of this once, I can do it again, but this time with a better strategy. I am not sure I will ever do it again, mainly due to the RARE Vehicles I have and the trouble it was for those, but the Starter Save itself wasn't even that hard, afterall...Can't wait to try it in IV sometime in the future...

Btw, that Map I showed above has a Link in the Description of zmoonchild's one Video about how to fly across the map in the beginning with no wanted level. The URL worked fine for me...

Since there is no need for haste getting the Oysters. Or even the Photo Snapshots.

Waiting to use the "Drive Thru" or even "Reuniting the Families" Exploits can save a lot of Wanted Star dodging.

I got 50/50 Oysters which is now the end of the completion of the Starter Save, however it was ugly. I saved 4 times just to do all 50 Oysters...

2 Safehouse Visits for 50 Snapshots, 3 Safehouse Visits for 50 Horseshoes, and now 4 Safehouse Visits for 50 Oysters.

Whatever, f*ck it, it's done! :D:p

13.90% Completion, 0 Deaths, 0 Busted, 0 Cheats, 0 Missions Failed, and 1 Special Vehicle + 9 Rare Vehicles. Backed it up on my USB Drive. 40 Safehouse Visits, 6 Pay and Spray Visits, 0 Meals Eaten, 15:09 Total Playing Time.

Yeah, even with a Jetpack and using it UNDER THE WATER, it's still a chore for me, too. It must of took 2 and a half hours for me to get all 50 yesterday and only about 15 of them were obtained WITH a 4 star wanted level. The other 35 I got without a wanted level. Really boring swimming so much, though...

I don't like always having to do the 250 Collectibles every time I do a new Save, so I am glad to finally finish 13.90% which is the maximum for the Starter Save with Big Smoke included in it...
