Jitterdoomer
Is there any option or a configuration to make the game like the previous generation version of GTA V games? I want to do this to run on a rusty old HP computer that I used secondarily while my custom built PC that my brother gave me can handle GTA V without problems. Here are my specs for my specs for my custom built PC: Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 10586) (10586.th2_release_sec.160328-1908) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: EVGA System Model: 122-CK-NF68 BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz Memory: 8192MB RAM Available OS Memory: 8190MB RAM Page File: 4456MB used, 5013MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: 11.3 DX Setup Parameters: Not found User DPI Setting: Using System DPI System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled Miracast: Not Available Microsoft Graphics Hybrid: Not Supported DxDiag Version: 10.00.10586.0000 64bit Unicode Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip type: GeForce GTX 580 DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC Device type: Full Device Here are my specs for my rusty old HP Computer: Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 10586) (10586.th2_release_sec.160223-1728) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard System Model: p6653w BIOS: BIOS Date: 07/21/10 09:12:50 Ver: 6.02 Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 250 Processor (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz Memory: 5120MB RAM Available OS Memory: 5120MB RAM Page File: 2465MB used, 2974MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: 11.1 DX Setup Parameters: Not found User DPI Setting: Using System DPI System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled Miracast: Not AvailableMicrosoft Graphics Hybrid: Not Supported DxDiag Version: 10.00.10586.0000 64bit Unicode Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip type: GeForce 8800 GT DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC Device Type: Full Device Edited April 16, 2016 by Jitterdoomer
Yoona
Don't remember specifics but basically everything on medium, 720p, no AA, very limited distance bars And tbh i really doubt that old HP computer can match the frame-rate of PS3/Xbox 360. Suprix
Get a quad core cpu and 1 more gig of ram and you should be fine (30+ fps low res). Please tell me that your 8800 has 1gb of vram.
southparkmayor
Last gen is pretty much 720p with EVERYTHING down. Thats how bad it was. Your GPU is quite fine but not the CPU. Edited April 17, 2016 by southparkmayor

Rewdalf
Not sure how closely you can match last gen console settings, since there was a rather big poly difference in a lot of the models. Extremely apparent on some cars. PC version is harder to run by default.
SiRiS
Bit of a late reply, but this is the closest you will get to the last gen versions of GTA V: DirectX Version: DirectX 10 Resolution: 1280x720 FXAA: On (Last gen consoles do have some post process AA, not 100% sure if it is FXAA though) MSAA: Off VSync: Half Population Density: ~50% Population Variety: ~50% Distance Scaling: 0% Texture Quality: High (Turn this down to Normal because GTA V low end PC's doesn't like high resolution textures) Shader Quality: High (Last gen consoles are a bit closer to Normal but it looks even worse on PC) Shadow Quality: Normal Reflection Quality: High Reflection MSAA: Off Water Quality: High Particles Quality: High Grass Quality: Normal Soft Shadows: Soft Post FX: Normal Motion Blur Strength: 0% In-Game Depth Of Field Effects: Off Anisotropic Filtering: X4 Ambient Occlusion: Normal Tesselation: Off This looks a bit better than last gen consoles, but if you turn settings down some things will look worse e.g Reflection Quality. Keep in mind also that the GTA devs originally only had to optimize for 2 different systems so they could work in ways of pushing the graphics as high as possible, which is why you may need to turn down settings on a PC that's more powerful than a last gen console even with a well optimized game like GTA V. I came from the future to ask, are these still the closest graphical settings to the old gen or did you get more faithful graphical settings?
