The problem with the neck is that his neck texture is his ear texture as well...Anyways even i was suprised when i got it to work before then the model's head was off the part,he was too big,his legs were in his body ETC..

 

i'm also working on the cop model now...easier said then done though

Select the neck polygons, unwrap UVW, re-UV it.

 

Nothing too hard.

What i do is grab two meshes (head of one body of the other) i then attach their heads together then delete the head poly's of the old mesh also i fixed the ear texture (put less detail on his ear which makes the neck texture less noticable)

Changed a few textures..the main thing i did was fixed his neck texture.Like Sergiu said,it required simple uv-editing.

You should make the head a little bigger. Otherwise he looks perfect ;)

Alright, GTA IV textures are a no-no for 3D era games.

 

Unless you reduce it to 128 or 256.

You have to follow standard sizes if you want your mod to be proper.

 

You cannot just use IV textures that barely fit in, either due to size or quality.

If the quality is ruined then just remake those textures by hand or look for others.

All of the texutres i used fit perfectly regardless of size..me changing the size actually kinda ruined it.

You know, some surfaces have 64x64 textures mapped on. Putting a 128 over will screw it up unless you remake it.

 

Another example would be putting a 256 texture over a 128 one and not changing the mapping. Same goes for putting a way smaller texture over a bigger one.

Use MagicTXD http://gtaforums.com/topic/851436-relopensrc-magictxd/ So your txd's no longer produce pixelated textures. Please. For the sake of all our eyes. :p

The mspaint look is what i mean by pixelated textures. ;)

And that's what I'm saying, you don't have a choice here unless you're going to remap it on the model. Then you can have the texture higher res.

 

Still, besides that, never forget that you'll need to avoid uneven texture sizes or making a few textures rather HQ and not doing anything about the others. Standard practice.

Yep i'm probably gonna reinstall in the game to remove the textures (it takes literally 5 minutes..if even that)

Yeah i'm gonna extensively edit the peds.There textures were a little bit rushed and all.. progress will be shown tonight.

The main ped im fixing is Biker 2.I'm replacing everything besides his head.I'm planning on adding a biker gang but since there aren't any bikes it would be a little irrelavent.

Edited the protagonist's body and made him a lot thinner i also gave him Claudes hands like Jinx suggested

Nice work! A little suggestion for ya is that maybe u can show Peds in a better way! U know like Jago show his peds in GTA 3D Thread...Just a little suggestion, I know it is not useful but it add quality in ur work if you know what I mean ;)

Oh so you want me to show it in a 3ds max scene instead of the game.okay also GTA:First Build used an old logo of GTA 3 from the BETA phase of the game..is a coincidence that we both chose to use that logo...but nonetheless i'll do both of those ideas

I edited Biker 2's texture fixed a few parts gave him more realistic arms and gave him a cigarette. (sorry of the pics are too small)

In my Opinion the protagonists appearence looks bland and dull i'm currently remaking the model to make him look more HD and have more of a "mafia look" .His design is gonna be based off Toni cipriani...
