CrazyFerret
I bought an Armored Kuruma... Then I left it parked it in my Garage and never drove it once. Why bother? Driving one just BEGS people to target you. I spend more time on my fully upgraded Bati 801; or my Akuma, and most players can't catch me... I kept the Armored Kuruma cause I kept thinking "well gee, maybe it'll be useful someday" ...and now I'm wondering why I'm bothering to even keep it. I should add.... The kids in their fancy chrome T20's - TRY - to catch/keep up with me... Until I hook a 90 degree turn on a dime with the Bati's hand brake, and zip down somewhere, where their car can't fit through,or they won't follow through cause they're too scared of scrapping up their fancy chrome paint. By the time they manage to drive around to the other end where I'd come out, I'm already off their radar... ...and ones chasing me in their Armored Kuruma's just end up getting frustrated and spawn their Hydra Jet's instead. DJROWIENZ
I love jacking cases in freeroam events with a Kuruma. Guys turn up and start a shoot out, I just stand and watch until I see my chance to drive straight through the battle, swoop up the case and ride off into the sunset. The tears are amazing. A.I.R
I can spend hours in mine in passive just sliding round the corners of the city. It amazes me how many ppl get riled up by not being able to blow it up lolz Do the same whit the insurgent. People shot me jet try to kill me but they cant because PM ~TKP~
monkb4skunk
The best response to a karuma. I have no issues paying the insurance on these things, especially when they are full of players thinking there invincible. OT the armoured v12 is sexxxy as f*ck and reasonably fast Nonstopmaximum and Audi
DarkRayquaza99
It's a great car... For Missions and Heists. I never drive it in freeroam, and only use it for certain heist setups and finales now. The Armored Schafter v12, however, is classy, fast, and effective in it's purpose (for freeroam, anyways).

Shadowfennekin
I laugh when I see people driving Kurumas into Executive Search. Don't have to pay anything to blow it up and they lose their "invincibility" Heck, I target players I know are in Kurumas after I start Hostile Takeover. Can blow them up forever and not get BS for it. If you want a shield use a Insurgent, you can survive a few jet flybys and actually get to safety if you're a part of an organization since you stupidly can't use passive Hunter and Mattoropael
Skeve613
Kurumas are for anti-NPC work, and for killing exceptionally stupid low level players. Everyone else will usually just choose to blow them up and take the insurance hit. This tendency is one reason I refuse to ride in Kurumas in public lobbies, and will always take the Insurgent into public free roam instead, or the V12 Schafter when I simply want to get from A to B (that two explosive hit ability has saved me many times from RPGs and mines) The above being said doesn't diminish its value in heists though, or for protecting you from the frankly rather BS laser-perfect aim of NPCs. Red Lynx 23
The Grenade Launcher is my go-to weapon for Armored Kurumas in free roam. Unlike the RPG they just see it as an automatic rifle as they are bearing down on you. And the last one that got blown up didn't respawn right away. Must have been a wtf moment for him. Mattoropael
The Kuruma is my favorite free roam troll car. I'll quote myself from another thread to explain why. Speaking of cops and griefers, it's possible and very hilarious to grief people with cops, though it isn't a stat padder that most "griefers" want:1. Get a Kuruma2. Work yourself up to 5 stars3. Go passive4. Drag the cops after you, go to hot battle zones in the session and hang around players busy blasting each other5. Laugh as they suddenly get vaporized by 5 star cops, even though their wanted level is way lower Now if I'm actually going to fight people though, I'd take an Insurgent or a jet. SophistiKat
I'm sorry, but those who use Kuruma in freemode as protection against other players, are complete idiots.Especially now, since we don't have to pay the insurance for destroying other players' cars anymore. I agree I would be more reluctant during the old days, 'cause 10 Kurumas destroyed = over 60k insurance fee.Sure, you might get one kill if you catch someone by surprise or you're off the radar, but next time he'll have RPG/bombs ready for you.And yes, I'm talking from experience...as the one who blows up the f*cktard thinking he's safe inside the Kuruma. CaliMeatWagon
surely you'd be way better off in a Schafter v12 or armored baller? as soon as I see the kuruma I rpg it or get on a ledge and shotgun the driver if its close (then proxy mine then run while otr then many lulz) in a Schafter v12 you stand a way better chance of running a player over, and if you throw a sticky from the drivers window, the windscreen stays intact so you can explode them but they can't kill you by any means in the time it takes you to kill them ofcourse you need repairs between kills if they shoot back but no one ever falls for the kuruma bullsh*t twice anyway and you're going to explode sooner or later. Why even live? You're just going to die anyways. You might as well spend your entire time on the game spamming the "Easy Way Out" button.

size_m
Kurumas are anti bullets... not anti explosives. Whats there to understand? One totally blocks bullets... the other can take a few explosives and a few bullets. ... op knows that as he has described this in his post. what he doesn't understand (and me neither) is why so many "griefers" choose this vehicle with only bullet protection instead of another vehicle with (some) bullet and explosives protection. since the kuruma is so easy to exlode why not using a vehicle which is harder to explode while also having some protection from bullets at the same time? you should probably read again the op's op as he describes all this pretty detailled. .Vooodu.
Do you think you are superior simply because you can blow it up? Because using the noob tube to destroy a single car is pretty weak. It depends on the vehicle. Blowing up a panto.. yes thats pretty week. Blowing up a hostile player in a bullet resistant car is fair play. Obviously the hostile player in the kuruma is forcing the other players hand to BLOW them up if they attack . Noob toob for a noob vehicle = problem solved. Do i think im superior..? Yes.. We Are Ninja
I bought an Armored Kuruma... Then I left it parked it in my Garage and never drove it once. Co-signed. It cheapens missions, sucks all the fun out of Pacific Standard, and it makes me feel like a twat in free roam. That, and it's handling is so bad that it can't get out of it's own way, so it's just a matter of time before you get 'sploded by someone in literally any other vehicle (because they'd actually have the ability to throw stickies out of any other vehicle...). livejoker
They are all ugly and they suck. Debatable. Heavily debatable. Purely your opinion which can be deemed wrong by facts. It sucks? Please explain what it sucks at/how it sucks. I can see it being extremely useful for missions (or in this thread's case freeroam gang attacks or other players attacks). Also looks is opinion-based. OP, don't ask why but rather why not? The main threat in freeroam isn't other players, it's the cops. Players can be escaped and you can keep an eye on them on the minimap (exception is the 1 min off radar) but cops are everywhere (again, exception is the tunnels but they can technically run down the tunnels to hunt you down if motivated/baited). Cops appear out of thin air, no matter if you're in the city or on top of a mountain, sooner or later if you commit a crime or two they'll know it about. I think that's what most smart Kuruma users drive it for. Those that "troll" and attack other players are idiots. Don't put sane Kuruma drivers in the same boat as those guys, please. You know, not everyone wants to run you down in an armored toaster.

UKPortista
I love my Kuruma. It gets me around town effectively (personally I find it a joy to drive), offers sufficient protection against the 'spray-on-sight' fraternity and can be a fun trolling vehicle (if one feels so inclined). Plus, as already mentioned, there are benefits when being chased down by the Old Bill. Sure, there's always the risk someone will toss a sticky or rocket launch you...but that applies to most vehicles in GTAO.

The E & OC armored vehicles are bit more difficult to deal with in FM. It's very likely they will get you with the the first sticky, but I will have their number in case they try it again. Usually if you hit them with the RPG once, they will run. This is why I kill everyone in sight. Too many people want an advantage while they try to kill you.
