the kuruma in freeroam...why?

surely you'd be way better off in a Schafter v12 or armored baller?

as soon as I see the kuruma I rpg it or get on a ledge and shotgun the driver if its close (then proxy mine then run while otr then many lulz)

in a Schafter v12 you stand a way better chance of running a player over, and if you throw a sticky from the drivers window, the windscreen stays intact so you can explode them but they can't kill you by any means in the time it takes you to kill them

ofcourse you need repairs between kills if they shoot back but no one ever falls for the kuruma bullsh*t twice anyway and you're going to explode sooner or later.

Kurumas are anti bullets... not anti explosives.

Whats there to understand? One totally blocks bullets... the other can take a few explosives and a few bullets.

But i know one things for certain, i would never die by auto shotgun while im driving the damn kuruma. Unless i pulled over to roll a joint..

They're not anti bullets either...I get many kills with my AP pistol because of so many people with that train of thought.

We Are Ninja

I ask the same question all the time. You can't throw stickies out of the Kuruma, and it blows up as easily as a non-armored car. Plus it handles like sh*t. For some reason, though, it's a ground troll's wet dream.

Most people are idiots

The best way to use it is of course to ap pistol from range, or move quickly

Either way RPGs are the main threat

I just snipe off the doors, then they look like idiots driving around with little to no protection. Sometimes I take off their hood and trunk for extra laughs.

Meh.... id say sticky bombs are.

I mean the Kuruma can't use explosives back. In most cases you can pretty much snuggle with it.. mock the damn car and blow it to pieces at will.

But then again... im on a street bike most of the time. So to me a kuruam is a joke.

As seen in this vid i made a while back.. I even tried to avoid the kuruma player.. I tried to be nice. The moment he made his move.. BOOM!

I sold mine. It was boring. Took away all the challenge in some of the harder missions. Bought the normal looking kuruma instead.

Basically:

Kuruma: Bullet proof 8/10 and Explosion proof 0/10

Schafler and those other armored cars besides insurgent: Bullet proof 5/10 (in assisted aim) in free aim I would rate it 6/10 Bullet proof.

Explosion proof is 5/10 as well because the other armored cars can only take one explosion, two until it blows up.

The insurgent can take up to three explosions and the fourth blows it up. and the insurgent is 7/10 bullet proof (it is slightly more covered) and 9/10 explosion proof.

Basically the Kuruma is the best all around option since you can out run and out drive most explosions shot at you, the other armored cars are good for situations involving more explosions.

As mentioned they have different advantages / disadvantages. different needs for different drive by killers.

You are trading the ability to throw bombs at people because you are scared of being shot with bullets, and at the same time are betting that nobody will use explosives on you because it's difficult to shoot you with bullets.

Honestly I see the Armored Kuruma as a rolling coffin for its occupants, someone is going to blow it up because it's a Kuruma even if you don't attack them and if I get the chance that person will be me.

The Insurgent is the no1 aggression vehicle, you crash into people and shoot them through the window while they are spinning and can't aim at you, or you crash into them and sticky them, or you run them over. Kuruma vs insurgent you better pray you headshot the driver before that sticky lands on you and he can just kill you without even having to drive away from you and not die himself.

No Use For A Name

Maybe because the main time I'm in freeroam I'm waiting to do more missions and VIP work, where having a Kuruma is beneficial.

Maybe because I enjoy driving it.

The way I play, I'm generally more concerned with cops and armed NPCs more than other players. As said before, armed AI are more gun-accurate and have infinite ammo and don't resort to explosives, so the (nearly) bulletproof car is the better choice. If I encounter hostile players, I can generally escape before they realize they need explosives. I don't need to toss explosives from my car in those sessions so that's not a drawback, either.

If you treat a Kuruma like a T20 you're going to say that it doesn't handle well, but if you know how to properly drive one and are knowledgeable with the map sufficiently, you how how to evade hostile players without ever needing to toss expensive explosives.

I haven't driven my Kuruma in a while though. Lately it's been the flavor-of-the-week "newest" car in freeroam, but I spawn on my Yacht and then fly to whatever I want to do and from there I have a 50-car choice instead of the 10 in the closest garage/apartment.

Perhaps the better question is "Why use a Kuruma for trolling other players?"

I shake my head at that one.

this is what brought this thread on lol

I got sick of cops in general so brought out my kuruma but not being able to use stickies means basically any car is better than a kuruma 1v1 unless you have mad car to car freeaim skills

it's great to cheese mastermind but sh*t in freeroam

Do you think you are superior simply because you can blow it up? Because using the noob tube to destroy a single car is pretty weak. Here's the thing. I don't meet many AK drivers who care about virtual death. We are there to prove you are beyond scared of someone in it, and your only option is to be a noob tuber. So, bravo, tough guy, you blew up a car with a ROCKET PROPELLED GRENADE. You deserve a trophy. Mos' def. 👌

I bought an Armored Kuruma...

Then I left it parked it in my Garage and never drove it once.

Why bother? Driving one just BEGS people to target you.

I spend more time on my fully upgraded Bati 801; or my Akuma, and most players can't catch me...

I kept the Armored Kuruma cause I kept thinking "well gee, maybe it'll be useful someday" ...and now I'm wondering why I'm bothering to even keep it.

Awesome in missions and heists. Prefer the e&oc update armored cars or insurgent in free roam.
