PLAN:
We will all meet up in a session. Although it says playlists, I will be alternating between Free-roam and jobs so the meet feels fresh.

Car show:
There will be a few categories for this. These are listed below for understanding:
Best Overall - You're favourite out of the selection.
Most intimidating - The car/bike you would feel most threatened by in the wasteland.
Best paint job - The car/bike with the best paint scheme.
Out of the box - The most unexpected vehicle that rocks a wasteland look.

When instructed players will stand on the car they wish to vote for.

 

Drag races:
Opponents will be picked by me (I will pick in interests of fairness).
A flare gun will be shot into the air. Once the flare lands, the race starts. The hosts car will be placed as a finish line. No arguments over who wins, its a meet for fun at the end of the day. Will work like a tournament where the winners go through to the next round. until we get an overall winner.

 

Shopping Madness:
This is Yello Sanchez's idea (with my input) where everyone works in teams of two. You must find a shop, shoplift an item from it and get back to the start point. First team through a shop door gets that shop, find a different shop if you get beaten to one. You must evade the cops, don't use blind eye or Lester.

 

Flying Machine:
A One person (me for insurance cost purposes) will get into a helicopter and use its weapons to chase everyone across the map. Last standing wins. Vehicles on ground cannot use weapons on each other.

 

Cruising:
I have not put cruising on the list. The reason for this is that between each freemode event we will be crusing to each start location for it with photo ops along the way.

Thanks to all for attending, I'll be honest that was my first meet and I really enjoyed hosting, few bits I could have done better but I think overall it went well. I will try to host some more themed car meets/playlists in the future.

**Dalton’MAD MAX Themed Car Meet 15/4/16

This was Dalton first meet as host. He has teased me for months about various different ideas for meets and events, but they have not so far come to fruition.

 

This however was a GO! Great theme MAD MAX I think everyone got into the sprint of the theme as well, something that is often missing from the countless other meets. Often there is nothing more than a class of car requested. The theme allowed us to not only choose cars, but customise them to the theme, dress our characters to the theme and take part in some mini games inspired by the mad max films.

 

 

We had a lot of the usual Off-Road All-Stars members and also a few new guys, G20701, bcc46 joined in later on. LGx DRUW and Share Shariqi joined from the start and slipped right into the group it was great to have some new faces join us , loved their characters and vehicles. Hope to catch you both at plenty of future meets (there is also an off-rd all-stars crew invite for you both if u want it)

 

 

We started the meet with very little lobby issues (I guess it really is just me) great setting at sandshores airfield. However we spent a lot of time there, on the promise of the vote starting. I understand Dalton wanted to get as many people into the meet as possible but for me this took just a little bit too long. The main thing to watch with this is boredom from the meet members. Boredom usually leads to explosions and kick offs. Just a little point to watch and consider for future meets.

 

 

While we were waiting, some cracking cars showed up (check the pics out) loved Daltons own tampa. And also the Dukes both great, the duneloader of LCS also fitted in perfect with the theme and I hope my mad max bohdi did. The Wait was worth it ! as latter on the perfect hotknife, rusty rebel and dunloader added to the feel of the wastelands convoy.

 

 

We had numerous attempts at making fire adding to the atmosphere I didn’t manage to catch any but I hope some others did. The hydra flybys piloted by subarufan made for some fun and nice pics to.

 

 

The vehicle vote started, we had some really great categories as well, nice to see some effort go into the planning from Dalton (keep it up)
The voting went smoothly and personal was chuffed to win one of the categories (check out Daltons feedback for the winners)
We then went on to drag racing! Great fun with the hot knife winning. I had my money on LCS Postals Dune loader

 

 

After this we got into the first of the jobs. A carnage filled bikes vs madmax cars (the bikers had guns) great fun with some nasty deaths. Would be epic with double the 10 players we had. My only criticism would be of the last two players in the final round. Sometimes guys it not just about the winning. Consider the other players watching as well. Running around and hiding for 5 mins and waiting for the other player to make a move “doth not maketh a compelling deathmatch” sometimes you need to go all in and go for it !

 

 

The Next job was a great idea, and great fun. Team up rob a shop loose the cops and Race to the finish. Check out the pics I loved it managed to have a 4* rating and two flaming tyres on the bohdi. But sadly I lost  well done to the winners.

 

 

The Next Job was pure carnage “ the Tanker run” down Raton canyon, was epic. That Epic that I forgot to film it !

 

 

Race to a tanker, beat the other team and make it down raton canyon with them trying to stop you in various mad maxy styled vehicles. It felt like the film, and I’m sure Dalton is going to tweak this to make it even better. I don’t know who won but in a way we all did 

We finished of the game with a “Man Hunt” Dalton in the buzzard (no homing missiles) chasing us. Once you were caught you joined the chasing team. Again great fun, and the perfect end to the meet.

 

 

Dalton’s first meet was a blast ! he’s a great host, relaxed on the mic giving clear instructions. Also he was flexible to the requests of the meet members. But kept with the structure of the meet and his plan. Can’t wait to see what he comes up with next. And I’m glad to have him as an Off-Road All-Stars 
