Only thing with that idea is there would be times where it wouldn't make sense. Going on a rampage as a corrupt cop, getting busted and then being let out again as a cop wouldn't make sense IMO. Maybe that's Rockstar's formula. That's why I really liked Tommy Vercetti as my favourite GTA protagonist ever. He was straight ruthless, murderous and cold gangster, with nothing else on his mind but a burning ambition to become powerful and wealthy by taking over the Vice City criminal underworld and creating a vast business empire. I don't know why, but I just love the style of Asian gangs. Just total ruthless badasses. As for the look, a Steve Aoki look-a-like would be awesome. Someone who already has sustainable wealth and is considered "at the top". However, after a recent financial collapse (this would take place after the 2008 crash), stocks plummet and thus, the protagonist loses all of their money as a result. Bankrupt, living off of canned soups and scraping by, the protagonist realizes they have reached an end point and financial recovery is highly unlikely. This would string together the plot of GTAN, showcasing the protagonist's eventual transition into the criminal underworld. Ideally, the protagonist is in their mid-30s, and has chosen to not start a family. This would rid the plot of V's cliche family sub-story, which I thought could have been done better. This would also put a greater emphasis on a structured plot, rather than splitting it across multiple protagonists. This is a character that hasn't been done before (previous GTAs focused on rags-to-riches, gangs, and enterprises), and I think would be very interesting both as a story and as a character. This could also reintroduce the stocks feature from GTA V, since the protagonist is obviously well informed about trading/selling off stocks and understands equity well. I feel like this would make most sense in LC. it would be cool to be the head of loan shark groups, such as the ones that financed Roman. Loanshark : Ey Boss, we got this chubby eastern European sleazeball who's behind on his payments. He owes ---- and hes behind by 30 days. Protag: How about you introduce the element Pb (Lead) to his knees, eh? Now scram, ive got work to do. Loanshark: Yes sir. * shouting from down the hall. Left due to the crisis in Venezuela and is now in the drug game in Vice City. Desires power like Tommy did but the old Cartels he use to work for have a hit list on him. He is also wanted by the Venezuelan govt. He is very anti-socialism/communist but also wants independence from the South American Cartels to dominate Vice City on his own. But... He is also a psychopath who doesn't mind being a ruthless/brutal as possible to accomplish whatever he needs. Ex-cop, crooked and/or undercover, maybe even thrown in with a "all traces of former identity wiped" a-la Max Payne--whatever to make it work. Female gangbanger just seems so cliche. But I've been keen to an idea like this for a while. Have two protagonists, both with their story tightly knit and personal, and it'd be really interesting.
