SilverRST
Non-installer version, please (or should I say portable version?). I prefer it that way, plus I already have the necessary dependencies installed anyway. Yes, this please. And also because of being able to place the folder with MagicTXD anywhere you want. The_GTA
But the installer tries to download Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable and Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable and then gives an error that it is unable to install VS2015 Redistributable even though I already had them installed. I opened the setup file using 7zip and there were two magictxd.exe , extracted each of them separately and tried to run them , but it still didn't run. I have just fixed your issue I think. Magic.TXD does not depend on so many non-standard DLLs anymore. Non-installer version, please (or should I say portable version?). I prefer it that way, plus I already have the necessary dependencies installed anyway.A portable build is on the way Release Candidate 4 is out! I urge everyone to give it a shot. El Dorado
I open a txd and got a warning about zero sized mipmaps. From what I understand, this is what causes the black road bug on SA. So, what procedure do I take to correct this? Clear mipmaps, then generate new ones? The_GTA
inadequate
LOL, how I missed this? RIP TXD Workshop. Amazing, finally is released. It's an official portable version upcoming? I made my own portable installation of RC5. Also this Spanish translation is wrong, says EXPLORAR instead of EXPORTAR. TWIST_OF_HATE
Great stuff, and it really wonderful that release coming after over a decade from classic GTA's release, it means that interest for this games are still very strong. Honestly, GTA modding is probably never be my own addiction, but I really interesting - what this tool will give for GTA modding in practice ? Does someone have a plans for updating their projects or creating something from scratch by using this magic tool ? From what I understand, this is what causes the black road bug on SA. So, what procedure do I take to correct this? Clear mipmaps, then generate new ones?Correct. Magic.TXD had discarded those invalid layers automatically. Simply generate new or more mipmaps. LOL, how I missed this? RIP TXD Workshop. Amazing, finally is released. It's an official portable version upcoming? I made my own portable installation of RC5. Also this Spanish translation is wrong, says EXPLORAR instead of EXPORTAR. I am glad you appreciate our product! One could be overwhelmed by the amazingly positive responses I have got. Thank you to all of you! Well, okay okay. I will release a portable version, since you keep asking. But be nice okay? No redistributing without the license files and nasty things like this. Does someone have a plans for updating their projects or creating something from scratch by using this magic tool ?I would certainly appreciate remastered versions of mods. Now it is very easy to generate mipmaps. Especially total conversions profit from this. ---- There are now portable builds on the wiki page. Keep in mind that those do not come with all features, neither are they for the general public. The installer version is the default product. SilverRST
Oh man, I would kill the pope who sh*ts in the woods for a single player map editor! Now TXD Workshop can die in pile of turds, Magic TXD finally born and all I need is a perfect single player map editor and I can die in peace! frostbiT
I'm also happy to see that modding in older gta games still active. Back in the day when i used to play gta sa, mta, create some mods i needed tool something like this. Especially when creating building textures, for cars in most cases mipmaps isnt necessary. TXD workshop was too much outdated back then and with first releases of magic txd builder i knew something powerful would come. Big thanks to authors of this tool. I guess i have try it too, also waiting for portable version Edited April 14, 2016 by Gytis-JDM The_GTA
Vadim M.
I want to say huge thanks to these guys, they made magnificent tool which literally destroyed glitchy TXT workshop and other outdated tools. Forget about using dozens of txd tools to open various txd formats, now it is available in one tool. This is freaking amazing. Being a beta tester for more than half a year, I saw how this tool was developed. Starting from something small, it became this huge. Even when I received the first build, it was much better than most of the tools. This tool is made specifically for the community, enjoy it, love it, support it. P.S. Using "Light Theme" since the first alpha build R.I.P. The_GTA
Will support The Warriors and VCS textures in some moment in the future? If community demand is there, I will be working on a special framework pipeline system to support different game engine data streams ----- So, over the past few days I have been promoting Magic.TXD on various websites, especially for the .TXD file extension, made the occasional Youtube comment and uploaded here + there. It was quite some work with mixed success. Tomorrow I will be looking into making some user-targeted tutorials in form of forum write-ups and videos. Hopefully I can convince users with that. But there have been bugfixes too. I have fixed minor issues with the PNG, DDS and TIFF image formats where data was either corrupted or not read properly. Finally we did a round-about check of image formats. It is recommended to update to 1.0 Release Candidate 5_5 if you encountered any issues! (RC's all day, eh? Will continue until I run out of bugs) If anyone is asking, DK22Pac is taking care of the Russian and Ukrainian side of the GTA community. Would love if he posted on here too, but I am like his spokesperson :3 Edited April 15, 2016 by The_GTA

The_GTA
This is nice, does it work with bigger TXDs like the one in Enhancement mods like Vice City Leftovers Mod?Magic.TXD can read any size TXD that is supported by the game. So I think it works with your TXDs too! I just happened upon this program, so being a noob to modding in general, could you guys tell me the differences between this and txd workshop? I mostly mod for gta sa android, what does the option to convert to mobile do? Any other pointers would be appreciated.Magic.TXD supports all RenderWare TXD files, TXD Workshop not. Magic.TXD contains TXD Builder so very easy to rebuild TXD files. TXD Workshop contains IMG explorer so easy to open TXD from game directly. Both tools are compatible with each other. If you are modding for GTA:SA Android I recommend using TXD F*cker and Magic.TXD together.

SilverRST
The_GTA, I got some question. How is the compressions? Like colors and bits? 16/32bits and when saved? Because when using TXD Sh*tShop and saving the txd, colors became greenish and purple-ish and also bad compressions. Like when saving txd with white snow textures, they became greenish. That's what I always hated about that sh*t tool and it bothered me so much, I couldn't be f*cked to use compression. When using Magic TXD, colors won't become green/purple-ish? Bad compression? I haven't been in the modding because I took a break.
The_GTA
Where is polish language I am looking for somebody to translate into the Polish language. If you provide me with a .magl, I will verify and include it into Magic.TXD The_GTA, I got some question. How is the compressions? Like colors and bits? 16/32bits and when saved? I haven't been in the modding because I took a break. DXTn compression is defined to compress from RASTER_8888 RGBA color samples to a compression struct. This compression struct can be turned into a RASTER_8888 RGBA again. I am guessing that Delfi could have messed the color conversion logic. But that ain't the only thing he messed up, as you hopefully learned through experience. As we speak, I am currently improving the color conversion logic. Maybe I wont get to writing tutorials today EDIT: maybe this image can inspire you. I shows how finicky conversion between color samples is. http://i66.tinypic.com/9zyqn5.png Edited April 16, 2016 by The_GTA
