The Dedito Gae
Michael is the average American. Mentally unstable former bank robbers in WitSec common over there are they?I think his first world problems and washed up shtick are supposed to be relatable. gooeyhole
Michael is the only protagonist worth a damn. A completely self aware cliche, a bank robber stretching his prime thin. I would have done the same thing if I was in his situation. That, or run. Abandon everybody. Leave Amanda with some money. Michael was f*cked both ways, no matter what. If ending B ends the game for you it makes Michael pay the toll for being a snitch. Playing as him is good too. His walk style is cool, though sometimes he looks like he's holding in a dookie. I like his suits. His house. The way he reacts to things, pedestrians, his attitude. His special ability is good if you use it at the right moment for dramatic flair. I'm also a fan of the therapy sessions. You can choose to be a family man and be faithful, or you can go to strippers and hookers. Hanging out with Amanda and Jimmy is alright too. It adds a dynamic to the conversations at the very least. Summerdaises2246, Journey_95, Payne Killer and 1 other 3

Jammsbro
I love Michael. He is a brilliant and complicated man. His arc and explanations for what he did are legitimate and make him even more engaging than if he was a straight character with none of that history. I was glad at the flawed characters in V, it was refreshing. And add to that Ned Lukes brilliant performance and you have a winning character. SocalsZHP
Michael f*cked over everyone he knew, narced them out, and hit the ejector seat. Everybody has family. He assumed the risk when he was robbing banks as a so called "family man" and when sh*t went haywire, all of sudden he acts like he's above the rest of his crew. TLDR? In short he's a disloyal sellout. Edited April 11, 2016 by SocalZHP
cp1dell
The majority of the complaints I've seen were because he's a snake who sold out his best friend, and when it comes to GTA that is supr srs stuff nd u can't b doing stough like tht. Regardless that Claude literally f*cked over practically everyone he came in contact with, but since this is the new GTA it's cool to hate it Claude only f*cked over people, who was about to f*ck him over. Especially after being f*cked over, wasn't taking that chance. He was loyal to certain people(from what I remember), ie the female yakuza general, forgot her name. (Work for her when you get to stauton island?). So don't put claude and Micheal in same boat. You saying that though, you are right there. He's a snitch, no way round it. Set up his best pal. In any GTA (and real life really), he deserves death. The fact they made that a trait, is terrible terrible decision.. Should of made it, he gets caught, pretends to setup his friends (or goes prison) warns Trevor etc he's going away for a long time, Feds caught him, this next job is the getaway job blah blah). He still gets to go los santos for the arc, Trevor can still be kind of pissed because let's say M didn't say where he was going, brad gets killed by accident leaving Trevor with anger and why Micheal disappeared without telling him.. BUT.. Stops the "he ratted and snaked his friends out" trait, that's plain wrong.. Where's the empathy though? The person he set up may have been close to him, but that same person was a literal psycho. Michael wanted out of the criminal lifestyle at the time, and there's no way Trevor or Brad would have been okay with that. Hell, Brad was even planning to kill Michael. HelloMyNameIs...
Cause he is a very boring protagonist just like Franklin and Trevor. I don't know what it is, but these guys are my least favorite in the entire GTA franchise. Still love the game for its gameplay, but I hate the characters and the story. Just my opinion don't shoot me.....
Michael
Tracey is the most useless character in Michael's story, she doesn't do anything and she doesn't give a sh*t about his father's death (Ending B) Tracey had so much potential but Rockstar Games didn't do anything with it. She is only seen in one or four missions and that's all. You can't meet her and hang around with her. I guess she's too busy gossiping on her mobile phone than actually caring about her family. Fuzzknuckles
. His walk style is cool, though sometimes he looks like he's holding in a dookie. This has been the case with all protags since Niko. Niko is the worst for it, though, there's a strange looseness about him, whereas Michael is fully in control of the turtle he's giving birth to. Michael 1 Signatures are dumb anyway. Official General
I don't hate Michael, I actually kinda like his personality. I just find him very boring as a protagonist. He does not have anything about him that would excite or interest me to wanna continuously play as him. All there is to his story are his stupid, annoyingly cliched Hollywood-styled dysfunctional family, and his position to be a reluctant lapdog and b*tch to the Feds. He's already rich, got a mansion, no real motivation or drive to continue a life of crime. Nothing else to him to regarding the story or even free-roaming roleplay for that matter. There is nothing to his identity that generates interest or fun for me, no Mafioso, no other mob, no drug cartel, no street gang, not biker outlaw gang, nothing. just a straight up boring, generic WASP American criminal. Gnocchi Flip Flops
I don't know. He's the only character I play whenever I load up V. Come to think of it, I forgot the switch feature even existed because I never use it and haven't in probably over a year. . Luis walks like he has a burrito shoved up his ass. Niko looks normal compared to it.
Pedinhuh
Well, let's see: -Traitor; -Hypocrite; -Liar; -Negligent with his own family(even though he grows out of this); -Coward if the strait is dire enough. P.S.: I'm not questioning his writing or voice-acting.
Dr. Robotnik
As much as I love Michael, I understand how hard it can be hard to find him appealing when the game devotes so little screentime to showing his "cooler" qualities. He can be extremely charismatic on one hand ("Casing the Jewel Store") and genuinely intimidating on the other ("Complications"), and when he's directing a heist, you can tell that's where he belongs. The problem is that for most of the story, he's not where he belongs, because he's dealing with things outside his control and trying to fix his own mistakes. It can be hard to take him seriously when he always seems so miserably hapless. That being said, I think Michael is often rather unfairly characterized. At the end of the day, I don't think he's cowardly or disloyal; the North Yankton incident had more to do with his loyalty being divided than anything else. If he's fearful, it's probably because he has so much to lose, like any parent or spouse does; I think he'd be fine with dying if it was for his family's sake. PoeticWhisper
F*cking love Michael. Since the very first trailer they properly introduced him in. He's an angry, psychotic motherf*cker who tries to do what he think is best, but ultimately ends up screwing over everyone he has ever loved. He's a scumbag, lying, cheating, stealing son'va bitch and that's exactly the reason why I love him. he is no doubt one of my favorite protagonists in GTA history. Perhaps I'm just a sucker for bank robbers, but I would have loved a prequel dlc where you just rob sh*t with Trevor and Brad. Just to get the true bond these guys really had before the slippy snake bastard Michael ratted them out. To me, he's one of the most real and believable characters in the entire series, with a cool backstory and an even cooler collection of suits. Stay classy, Los Santos.
