Game chat on GTA 5 Xbox 360

This is my first post on this forum site and I just have a simple question...

So basically I have really really sh*t internet, like its so bad that I cant join xbox live partys or private chat. I can only talk to my friends in gamechat. With battlefield and call of duty the game chat system works great but me and my mate just started playing gta 5 again so im wondering how does the gamechat work on it or is there like an in-game party system on it??

 

Any help would be much appreciated and sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere on this forum

No in-game system, you should probably reset your router, or check your NAT type.

There's basically a setting whether you want everyone, friends, crew members, or both friends and crew members to hear you. Be aware though that the game sometimes glitches out which makes everyone able to hear you (and vice versa) regardless of the setting.

 

I too can't join friend's party for whatever dumb reason Microsoft has (even though both me and my friend have fast internet and the party did actually work between us a while back), which is very annoying especially when the above bug happens.
