Has Benny's Lost Its Allure?

IMO the lowrider aspect of Benny's has gotten a bid old for now, but there are still many other things that Benny's could have. More Hotrod/Ratrod styled vehicles, more tuner/widebody cars, really anything that isn't a lowrider, at least for a while.

Not for me personally, I still enjoy it and everything else that came wth the initial update. But I can see how it can get tired for others, especially with this weekly release non-sense. But they'll probably cater to the other car cultures in the near future. At least... I hope they do.

we are all very different, come from different backgrounds, have different tastes and interests, we all play the same game, we all want something different from the game - believe it or not there are people that really like lowriders AND adversary modes - there are people who like things that you don't like - you cannot please every1 but they try and give all demographics a little something here and there

 

lowriders were obviously received very well (remember how buzzing and excited the forums were, don't lie) so they are adding a little more to the game bit by bit while working on bigger things

 

how can you say the game has not grown? compare this very game now to pre beach bum - ON OLD GEN! - you telling me it has not grown and improved? every1 has gotten a little something extra they like, be it a car, bike, plane, feature, extra garage, clothing item etc

 

sh*t, what game has added this much stuff in history? and whats this thing people keep bringing up about how old it is? you guys don't play your all games? I was playing mario kart 64 last week with my friends, that game is old as hell, so what...

 

we all like gta right? I mean why else are we still playing? and coming here to talk about it? then I get dissed for liking it, people say far fetching things like no fun allowed or cockstar or they are greedy cos they didn't make the game exactly how they want it, chill peeps, its not that deep

 

this game aint perfect, its just a cool game, play alone or with friends, have fun, mess around, compete, then get on with life

 

is it like a cool thing to hate stuff, complain and generally seem upset?

Before Benny's, people wanted Lowriders ... Enter Lowriders.

 

Some people wanted different things, Enter 900R & RS.

 

Then people complained that there's not enough Lowriders ... Enter Lowriders: Custom Classic.

 

Now people are divided, some want more Lowriders (Mannana, Peyote, Emperor). Others don't anymore more Lowriders.

 

 

With Benny's, R* now have an opportunity to create filler DLCs (though i wouldn't call the Lowrider DLCs that) while they work on large DLCs.

 

 

Would you rather have 3 months of silence between large updates? Or would you like to have some free filler DLCs & 2x activities to pass the time until such update is ready?

I Love the Idea of Bennys, but they need to do somthing other than Lowriders... Hotrods, Drift cars, Donks(Real ones not theese 52" Wheeled monster trucks), Offroading trucks... so on?

Exactley, the way they keep us in the dark is annoying, they did it right with IGG update when they first teased it. But that was just for a single time.

It lost is after they started dragging it on with a "new" car every week. I'd rather just have them all out and be waiting for better content than seeing it dragged on longer than it should/

And Benny's just seem lazy way to get new content. The Sultan and Banshee were awesome, and the Donks was actually unique but the rest recently are a major yawn fest.

I have heard people say "I would take anything but Lowriders", or something along those lines, now if a big DLC drops it will be hyped up even more, it is like letting someone ALMOST starve in the desert, then when right before he dies, you open a Sandwich Shop with all kinds of types of Sandwiches...

I am not against Benny cars. They are overpriced and engineered to promote cash card sales. I sold them , because the lowriders were collecting dust in my garage.

The problem is that they seem to be oddly obsessed with lowriders, that the playerbase is evidently growing tired of. Nobody around me bothered with them. Nobody drives them on the streets, passive or not. Barely anyone visit Benny's shop.

 

If they bothered to branch out more like they did with the Sultan RS and Banshee 900R, this would have been a viable format for "filler" updates, sure. But since they're so god damn obsessed with spamming the game with 9000 lowriders, it's only natural that people call them out for the bullsh*t.

Tuning is always welcome. I love cars and all styles. Personally I am looking forward to import and euro tuning and bikes of course. I don´t care if it´s Bennys or Los Santos Customs. Just keep the tuning updates rolling.

Exactly! i got a buccaneer fully customized & upgraded lowrider, blew a bunch of money on it and now i barely use it.

 

on the other hand i recently got me a Banshee 900R and i love it and and my other cars barely get any love now.

 

In my opinion they should chek out the cars that arent popular for whatever reason and add them to bennys.

I have ploughed a big pile of cash to that greedy mutha, but i dont regret a dime. Not even the ones i sold, might buy them back at some point. And hope to see more stuff bennified, hopefully with bigger variation. I am in eight-digit sums with his bills, and still like the stuff he makes. I rarely use hydraulics, but they truly have useful potential - apart from raising for rougher roads, you can hop them over fences and such when traveling fast. Preferably not a bunny hop, but just bounce the front over something, it may give hilarious outcome. You can kind of eat bikers that way, too.

Codes for new VIP missions, challenges & a new contact was discovered in the Low Riders: Custom Classics patch by Fun (sorry i can't Remember his full name). So now we know there's a sequel to E&OC coming soon.

 

 

 

It will include at least 6 new missions, 2 challenges, a new contact & 2 new cars (Oracle3, Oracle4)

The T20 at 23k have the highest insurance fees in GTAonline.

You're comparing one car that was released long ago to a collection of over 5 cars that was recently released. You're making a faulty comparison.

It's quite obvious that the fanbase is fairly saturated with lowriders by now. I see plenty Sultan RS driving around, but virtually no lowriders. That says a lot about the general sentiment towards them. The only Benny's cars I see a lot are not lowriders, even though there are a lot more lowriders than non-lowriders available in Benny's. We've had two updates and now three more cars. Too damn much to get without a break from lowriders. I don't mind how many we get, it's just that we get too many of them after another. We needed a differently themed update after the first batch of lowriders, then a second lowrider update, then a differently themed one again, etc.

fair enough, but i'm pretty sure people don't use lowrider often because they are:

1. Slow

2. Pain in the ass to drive

3. Little protection

 

however, find a people with very little sh*t to give about the overhead jets and robocop AI and you'll probably see one of these.

 

I tend to think that there's a fairly substantial Lowriding community out there, since when i searched "lowrider party" to Youtube and Google (was curious how they really do these irl), and the amount of GTAO Lowrider Party content damn near outnumber the real-life one.

 

I do agree to this however:

....but really it's not "Nobody likes lowrider", but it's more like "we kind of like lowriders but we'd like tuner/hot-rods now R*". If the latter is in fact, what everyone's been meaning all along, i'm sorry and safely sail past my post.

I am not sure about the whole diluting thing since Benny's seems to stand for extreme levels of car customisation and not just lowriders. They had to start with something and R* chose that something to be lowriders. So I guess if the Sultan and Banshee had been released first there would be people irritated about how Benny's is doing lowriders now. The Lamar missions would have worked with any kind of heavily modified car, too, since there is nothing lowrider-specific about them. And when it comes to quantity... well, if you ask me Benny can lay his hands on any car that can possibly profit from an overhaul. Lowrider Peyote? Go ahead! Street racer Cheetah? I'll try it. Panto Donk? Ehm... somebody will like it... I guess.
