Thanks for that. I see your new guide in the GTA IV:TLaD, it's my time too to get the first special vehicle in my 2nd save and I NEVER upload it... Trust me!

No problem. If you want to talk about TLaD Special Vehicles, just go to that Topic and reply there. This one is for GTA III.

I hope someone finds a way how to get this Unique RC Bandit on PS2 or Mobile. Also, if it counts as a Vehicle this time, I guess 7 can't be stored in SSV afterall, since it's capacity is 6. It was only before when it wasn't counting as a Vehicle, thus allowing 7 items inside the Garage. If you find a way how to get it on PS2 or Mobile, I can also add in those Videos to the Guide...

@MetalMilitia89 No, it's same the maximum are 6. I just test it in my PC, I just try to storing the DP Vehicle which I make at least 5. After the final one it's say: "You can't store any more vehicle in this garage".

That Garage always says that, even when only 3 Vehicles are inside there, but 6 will fit. If you store a 7th Vehicle, then 1 will always disappear. Since the Unique RC Bandit is registered in the Garage with this Method, I guess 7 won't fit in there, then. No worries, though. Was just wondering...

thehambone informed me in PM that it counts as a Vehicle now, thus once stored, only 5 spots are left. So it acts like any other normal Vehicle. Exactly how the RC Vehicles are like in SA...

Yep, That is what I mean!, What happening you not add my video about obtaining BP/FP/EP Bobcat? I just use normal Barracks OL too, not the BP/DP!

There is plenty of Videos for all of those Vehicles. Videos showing the same exact thing aren't needed. Just like your request in the VC Guide about the EP/FP Hotring Racer. It's not needed as there already is Videos showing the exact same thing and those people discovered such Methods so I add their Videos. Furthermore, you got it BEFORE passing Hotring, thus added an extra Attempt into your Stats. You need to get it AFTER passing 1st in Hotring, then it does NOT add Attempts anymore. The Videos I have in the Guide are AFTER passing the Side Mission and obtaining it...

However, if you want to post any Videos in the Guide within the Pages, go right ahead. That's perfectly fine. People can see the Videos in the Pages within the Guide. They don't necessarily need to be in the Main Guide with the Descriptions.

Now, this means the method are work 1000% but on PC Platform.

Yeah, I wish this worked on Console and Mobile, though. It's wack how a feature like Replay only exists on one Platform...

Going for a playtrough of this game AGAIN with special vehicles. Im gonna do all 3 main GTA era games before i play GTA IV for my first time.

Didn´t finish VC, so dissapointed because the game is glitching because my PS2 is barely working.

Anyway i think im not gonna take advantages of the PC features. Doing starter save right now.

This game should take a week.... Its like when i play on PC i do it so fast. Perhaps because is more efficiently that my old PS2

I never played a single PC GTA Game in my life. I grew up with Nintendo 64, Playstation 1, and Playstation 2, so I stick to what has been working for the last 20+ years, basically. Plus, I have iOS Versions of all the GTA's on Mobile already, thus getting experience of another Platform and all those Ports (except for CW, obviously) are a PC Port ported to Mobile, so it's similar in nature to PC, anyways. At the end of the day, I still prefer PS2/3, though...Plus, it appears more challenging and if that is the case, I take it. I don't like easy things with anything in life, so I stick to what's hardest. Practice on what's hard, then any other Platform is THAT MUCH EASIER...

III took me 4 days from 0% to 100% with 78 Attempts and all 13 Special Vehicles. VC took me 5 days from 0% to 100% with 90 Attempts and all 27 Special Vehicles. SA took me 15 days from 0% to 100% with minimum Stats and 61 Special Vehicles. LCS is similar to III, where it takes about 4-5 days and VCS is closer to SA, where it takes about 10 days. But since I have Starter Saves done in FULL for III, VC, SA, LCS, and VCS, you can cut the time in HALF. It goes so quick. I don't know why others take very long time to get through it all. It's really easy...

Anyways, good luck! Nothing is difficult but the BP/EP/FP Cheetah (AP Cheetah after DP Conversion) and BP/EP/FP Bobcat (AP Bobcat after DP Conversion), but even these are things I get within 2-3 tries, sometimes even first try due to experience. Experience is king. Without it, you got nothing. :D:p When you finish, let me know the "Days Passed in Game Stat." I have 61 Days Passed in Game. There is no Total Playing Time in GTA III, so we look at Days Passed in Game instead, lol...

  • 3 weeks later...

Can someone explain why on mobile the garage in Staunton Island doesn't always close. This happens to me when I put more than 2 special vehicles inside it. Now I have 3 vehicles only but the door sometimes doesnt want to close even when the vehicles are far enough from it. I managed to close it somehow and it works fine... Unless I decide to take some of the vehicles and turn it back later. Then it can't be closed again.

It happens from the Barracks OL sticking out slightly. Mine doesn't close, unless I force close it by getting into another Vehicle outside of the Garage. It happens on PS2 and iOS exactly the same for me. It's nothing to worry about, anyways. You can even run away from the Garage up the ramp and into the street while keeping the camera on the Garage and nothing should disappear. I've done that quite a few times, too...

In Fooking Rekt's Videos you can also see it doesn't close for him, either. But somehow he jammed it in there so it actually will close. My Barracks OL is always slightly sticking out, thus not going to close when you move away from it.

Btw, are you going for all 13 or doing what you did for your PC Save with going for only the non Mission Failure Special Vehicles. I think it's an all around greater challenge going for all 13 with 78 Attempts since some of the hardest parts about it aren't even "obtaining" the Special Vehicles, but storing them all AND making them DP. Luckily you can make them DP as you go using the Taxi Trick on all Versions BUT Mobile, as for Mobile, you need to wait for Missions with Passengers OR use Thieves. If you look in the OP of the Guide at the EC Rumpo Video, you can see Fooking Rekt use a Thief as a way to make the Rumpo DP. I've done this on my OLD Mobile Save and it worked for me, but I tried it on my new one and it didn't work. Seemed to be patched on iOS and not Android. Thus I had to use "Deal Steal" to convert literally 6 Vehicles to DP at the same time and pass the Mission. Unfortunately, this seemed to glitch my Minimap with a Cosmetic Glitch leaving 6 pink dots right on top of one another. It didn't affect the game in any way, shape, or form, but it looked f*cked up so I had thehambone remove those dots using his Save Editor. He repaired it and now no more dots are at the Hospital Parking Lot where you meet the Colombians and grab the briefcase.

Well I'm going for the same as on my PC save - I obtain only vehicles that don't require failing a mission. Now I have the UC Kuruma, Turismo Cheetah, Phil's Barracks OL, Evidence Dash Bobcat and Black Rumpo. All of them except the Kuruma were converted to DP (i simply forgot to convert the Kuruma in the beginning of the game and now it's in Shoerside Vale). Now I am waiting to obtain the BP Patriot and the Securicar from Decoy. After that I will use D-Ice's brother from Rumble to convert the remaining 3 cars.

May be some day I'll go for the challenge to collect all 13 vehicles (but on PC first). Let's just finish this one and I'll think about it.

Unfortunately, Rumble only allows ONE Vehicle to be converted....OR maybe it's because I fell through Blue Hell to resize the Ghost Vehicle, but if you do, he is gone...Completely vanishes from your Ghost Vehicle when you respawn back on land. One time I had him stuck standing at the Crusher. Wouldn't get back in my Vehicle or anything. The Mission continues like normal and can pass it without him, obviously. But yeah, I've used Rumble before, but TWICE now on two separate playthroughs, was he only good for converting ONE Vehicle. Typically, the BP Patriot is the 13th Vehicle I get and the Patriot is the one I make DP using Rumble. Your only other option is a Thief at this point once Rumble is passed...

Overall, I find it easy to "reload" if you die, get busted, fail a Mission and then just repeat the mistake without dying, getting busted, or failing. But to sink some of the Vehicles through the ground like the BP/FP Securicar or BP/FP Trashmaster with Armed Bomb, or AP/EC Stretch or even leaving the Trashmaster in memory are some of the more "challenging" tasks in III, hence why I don't mind to have 78 Attempts. It complicates things when you have a full Garage, and it's a complication I like to deal with as it makes me think "differently" and do things in a different order. For instance, "Grand Theft Auto" is active BEFORE Evidence Dash, but you'd never obtain the Bobcat if you did GTA before Evidence Dash. At the time of ED, there should only be a Trashmaster and Barracks OL in SI Garage and you can use the Barracks OL (BP/DP) to get the Bobcat, thus making it easier to push into the Garage since it WILL open. If you have a Trashmaster and Barracks OL already in there and are pushing the Bobcat down the ramp and to the Garage, the Garage won't open. It would be even WORSE if you did GTA first and got the 3 EC Sports Cars. Having 6 Vehicles inside SI and SSV will always be a much greater challenge than reloading. Not to mention ALL of them converted. This is why I just get 13 and don't care to have 73 Attempts and rather 78 Attempts, only failing for the Securicar, Corpse Manana, Stretch, Trashmaster, and the 3 EC Sports Cars getting all 3 at the same time with 1 failure...Those are the only 5 failures you need...

Btw, I am not sure if it's just me, or an iOS thing, or my Version of III Mobile, but Car Thieves don't work anymore to make DP Vehicles. I had to JUST use Mission Scripted Passengers this time around. I converted the Cheetah to AP using Triads and Tribulations. I converted the Barracks OL and the Rumpo using Kanbu Bust Out. I converted the 3 Sports Cars and Bobcat during Deal Steal. I converted the Patriot using Rumble. The Kuruma was converted to DP in my Starter Save using Luigi's Girls. All in all, very annoying to do this Save since I had to rely on using Missions only and passing them while converting a bunch of Vehicles. I couldn't use Thieves in free roam like I wanted to, similar to that of using the Taxi Trick on PS2, PC, Xbox, etc to get a passenger and make DP Vehicles in free roam.

@Stef, this is what I did during the Mobile Save. I thought I converted 6 during Deal Steal, but only 4. I wrote this on June 18th, the day I finished my new III Mobile Save, thus was fresh in my mind, unlike now, almost 2 months later. These are the Missions where you can use Passengers without Thieves and this is with all 13, not just a handful.

Oh well.. I will try to convert all the 3 vehicles during Rumble. I'll try not to fall through the ground. Even with that big size, fitting the vehicles won't be such a problem since I will have only 3 vehicles in SSV. And as yo usaid - my last chance is using thieves.

Yeah, it's possible it will work with Rumble, but the only catch is NOT falling through Blue Hell since that apparently makes the guy completely vanish from existence and then you can't use him repeatedly to make the other 2 Vehicles you want DP. If all else fails, you should be able to use Thieves as shown in that Rumpo Video. They are only seen at night. So just take your Vehicle over to the Crusher area and wait for one to spawn and have him follow you to the Crusher. Timing is everything, though. He has to jack the Vehicle from you as the magnet is about to pick it up and then you need to quickly jack it back. I've done it like I said in my old Mobile Save, but when I tried this time around, it didn't seem to work. The Button to get back in the Vehicle would vanish right as Claude touched the door of the Vehicle as it was lifting up. It would drop down to the ground and was converted to Ghost form, but you can't enter a Ghost Vehicle and the Thief just drove away with it, lol...

This is why I only used Mission Passengers. Be careful, though, as sometimes the Leones are around that area with their Shotguns, but typically they won't be there.

A question about the Staunton Island garage: what is the way to close the door without risking the loss of the vehicles stored inside? I'm talking about when the garage is filled over the limit.

And another thing: does this ever occur with the Shoreside Vale garage? Personally I have never seen it happen.

Doesn't happen with any Garages but SI. Portland can do such a thing if you store the AP/EC Stretch in there, too. When you put it in there, Garage won't close, thus you either run away from it while keeping the camera on it OR have a Vehicle in the Garage before putting it in and then get inside of that Vehicle when the Stretch is in the Garage which will force close the Garage since Portland only has a tolerance of one Vehicle. Never happens with SSV to me, even with 6 in there. But it happens with SI and it happens every single time I did a playthrough with obtaining the Trashmaster and Barracks OL. I can remove the 3 EC Sports Cars and Bobcat with just the Trashmaster and Barracks OL in the Garage, yet, it will still stay open. I can remove the Barracks OL and keep the Trashmaster, 3 EC Sports Cars, and Bobcat in there and it closes no problem. So I already know it's the Barracks OL causing the issue since it's so long and can't be pulled up way in the back since the Trashmaster is in the back at the wall.

I think am close to suicide :D. I became a victim of that Staunton Island garage... After Kanbu Bust-out, I completed all missions by Kenji, then all Ray missions, I started passing Donald Love missions until I unlocked Shoerside Vale, then I completed Marked Man and obtained the Patriot. I drove the Patriot to SSV and completed Uzi Money. Later I took the BF Injection to the IE garage in order to complete it and I also obtained the Tank from the military (it was really hard on mobile) and I took it to the crane in order to complete it. After that I saved the game in SSV and when I went to Staunton Island I realized that the Bobcat (somehow) was gone from the garage. I can't explain how mad I was... the latest backup of my save is right after converting the Rumpo, Barracks and Bocat to DP and completing Kanbu Bust-out. It's long time ago, I passed many missions after that but thankfully at least I have a backup with all unique vehicles before the Ray's Patriot converted do DP. Now I have to do all these missions again...

How the hell did that Bobcat disappear? I used it in some missions like A Drop In The Ocean and each time I returned it to the garage I made myself sure that it was stored correctly and is still there.

I remember you also said about your EC Kuruma vanishing from the Portland Garage a while back. You have a Topic about it in the Help and Support Section. I don't know how that happens. For me, I literally don't touch ANY Special Vehicles for use until AFTER I finish 100% and make a backup of my Save. At that time, I mess around with them. I like to obtain the FBI Car during A Drop in the Ocean and once passed, take it to the EV Crane immediately and as for the Tank, I don't get that until after passing The Exchange. I am 95% after the final Mission with only needing the Tank for the EV Crane to bring me to 100%. The doors are unlocked at the "Army Base" in SI after The Exchange so I just grab it there and drive it to Portland which gives me 100%. It's the final thing I do in III for 100%. I USED TO stand at one of the Safehouses with all the Police Bribes there and use the RPG to blow up Vehicles in the street and had an FBI Car or Tank follow me into the hideout area and pick up 5/6 Police Bribes to lose the Wanted Level and then steal the FBI Car/Tank, but I don't do it anymore. I kill two birds with one stone during A Drop in the Ocean and I just wait until after The Exchange for the Tank.

Opening/Closing the Garages can sometimes do this with the Vehicles. A safe note is to NOT do that. Instead, when you save the game, RELOAD immediately after saving, open the Garage(s) and check. If everything is there, then reload again and continue as well as make a backup. I typically back my Save(s) up every 5% to 10% game completion or after getting a Special Vehicle or two. It's better to be safe than sorry.

This is what happened to a couple people in my LCS Special Vehicle Guide on Mobile Android. They didn't back up their Saves. Game updated and when it did, it literally DELETED their Save. See? If they had a backup, this would be null and void, but since they didn't, had to re-do it all. Backups are key to obtaining Special Vehicles and making Saves on that level...

Yes, my Kuruma disappeared but it's a bit different case because it was the only vehicle in the garage (in Portland) and I didn't even convert it to DP. Well it seems that I should do backups more often and always check if my vehicles are in the garage. I'm sorry that I learned this the hard way.

We all have. If you're new to Collecting, this generally happens. III is short compared to SA and I've f*cked some things up in SA numerous times and had to re-do like 20% of the game and even reobtain some Vehicles. You'll be back to where you previously were in no time. ;)

But yeah, make frequent backups and you should be fine...
