Hot to get rid of my f*cking weapons?

When you have weapon wheel open, hover over the weapon you don't want any hit triangle (ps3/4) to drop the weapon. I've dropped the regular pistol & the pump shotgun dozens of times, but they always reappear next time.

If you are on PC you can't get rid of them permanently, you're stuck with that sh*t forever.

A lot of the old guns you pick up from getting in choppers/police cars etc. I keep all my guns and just have story mode saved with my weapon wheel already sorted out for when I log in.

 

I can't not have a weapon, there may be one time in the future where I need it, at least that's what I tell myself.

The only way I know of to avoid unwanted weapons is you can't buy them in the first place. My current character is my second one and I was trolled by my weapon wheel like everyone else. When I restarted I only bought the weapons I knew I would be using. Even when I pick up weapons during a mission, they are gone on the next one. I have two shotguns and assault rifles. One of each is silenced and the other is max damage. Etc. I think once you buy a weapon its like at tattoo. No matter how hard you scrub it will still be there.

You can't permanently drop weapons but you can choose the default weapons by choosing your favourites on the weapon wheel in single player then saving the game and you'll spawn online with those same weapons (as long as they're unlocked online).

You can perm drop all weapons with the exception of 9mm default pistol, which I hate, and any limited release weapons like the Musket, Sweeper, or Hatchet.

Also, if you pick up a weapon, or get given it as part of heist, it will disappear with a session change.

 

People saying you can't drop weapons are either wrong or playing on PC, where apparently there's no button for that.

They just return when you switch sessions.

^ I assume then that's because of all the douchebag skiddies on PC stripping people of their weapons, or it's a bug. Take your pick
