Lethal Vaccine

Wait so can PS2 users obtain the Maverick from The Sicilian Gambit?

Nobody tried yet. PS2 is always the last Platform to get checked, since not many people are playing on it in the first place.

But it's not all that needed since the same exact EC Maverick + FP Property can be obtained with ease from Calm Before the Storm. Doesn't matter if FP is useless and doesn't matter if it needs to be left in memory for like 6 Story Missions or so, it's still better and it's still obtainable.

But if there is a way to get the FULL Black Maverick, even without AP from another Mission other than Caught in the Act, then I'd be interested since that's the only reason I want said Maverick. Not cuz it's AP, but because it's EC and a different EC to the one I have already from Calm Before the Storm.

I know that this Maverick is inferior, but I don't care. I'm at a point in the game where I've passed all the missions containing obtainable helicopters, apart from The Sicilian Gambit. I don't care about it's properties, as a long as it's flyable and obtainable, I'm all for it. This is my last chance for a flyable helicopter in the whole game.

Then you'll be the first to try it out on PS2 and tell us if it works or not... :D:p

I only care about 3 Helicopters in LCS. Unique/FP/EC from Calm Before the Storm due to it's FP Property and EC. Unique Maverick in False Idols since it doesn't need OM0 and can pass to get it. Unique/AP Hunter from Karmageddon since it doesn't need OM0 and can pass to get it. Also is the only AP Helicopter available for PS2, the Platform I play on. Any other Maverick doesn't interest me at all. The Passion of the Heist Unique/FP Maverick is cool and all for PSP Players who don't want to use OM0 and pass the Mission at the same time and who also like a challenge, though. But it's not EC, of course...

Which AP Maverick?

It is the same script so it should work.

Just watched your video. So can I cancel B&G menu after I kill the Sicilians at the town hall, and after the screen fades black and I regain control of Toni?

And then do I just park the ambulance near the rocks so that the Maverick flys into the rocks like it did in your video? Also is the Maverick TD?

...I said that already...

I got them in DP/FP/PP/TP/EC form (Hellenbach GT's, Deimos SP's, and Cheetahs), but I also got them in DP/EC form as well. All you do is wait until they finish the Race and have their doors ripped off and you can literally just jack it and drive away. Kill the Race Driver to fail the Race and you'll still be sitting in the Vehicle. The Bike Race Bikes are the same if you just want them EC form instead of FP/PP/EC form, too...Only with the Bikes, the only way you can jack them is if you ram the Driver off the Bike and get on and drive away and kill the Driver to fail the Race...

You don't actually have to rip a door off, they are already unlocked! Does this mean that you can do this during Grease Sucho to obtain Dan's Thunder-Rodd?

Unless the doors are ripped off in my game, I can't seem to jack any of the Race Vehicles or elbow the guy off the Race Bikes...Toni will "target" the Vehicle and start running toward the door if I press Triangle, but he won't try and open it if the doors are not ripped off from what I saw...

Why would you do this for the Grease Sucho? After you come in 1st during Grease Sucho, you have to chase him and do a drive-by on him, the kill him when he exits the Thunder-Rodd. Mission Passed! and the Thunder-Rodd (just EC form) is sitting there for the taking. You can always obtain the Thunder-Rodd with passing the Mission...

I thought I answered your question before. Your game just crashes of you do it before the pier scene.

Probably, it's the Sicillians being unloaded when on om0.

(Lets just say, this is the only way to make the game not crash.)

Confirmed: "Overdose of Trouble" does delete TP from your vehicle (Lennart - was right), so plain AP TOYZ and AP/EC Pony are possible. Not that much of a reason to obtain them from the RC races and "Night of the Livid Dreads" respectively, is there?

I think I found how vehicles sometimes get deleted from garages, especially if you enter an interior (the safehouse), but not why. You do know that the garage opens only when all vehicles inside are properly loaded, right? Well, what causes them to vanish is falling through grey hell while the garage processes the rest of the vehicles in order to open, and, unless marked, they're gone for good. What causes them to fall through grey hell is currently unknown, but it probably has to do with changing interiors and/or traveling from one island to another, although take this with a grain of salt, as the results are not consistent.

I accidentally found about this due to my garage being an asshole again. I had three cars and a bike inside the Portland garage (the biggest asshole of them all), and decided to open it. However, the garage thought otherwise; it loaded the cars after some time, but not the bike, so it wouldn't open. I entered the safehouse, exited it, and stood in front of the garage with the camera tilted to top-down view again. The bike was finally loaded, but the cars were missing. Later, I found them on the street, just behind the garage, parked in the exact same way I had left them before. Being marked, the game teleported them to the nearest road path, after obviously falling through grey hell for some reason. Had they not been marked, I would have lost them completely. This is how you PS2 players lose them from time to time; you approach the garage without noticing, vehicles load inside, but not all of them so the garage doesn't open, they fall into the void, and poof! Gone. If you're playing on PSP and are sure the garage door itself didn't eat your vehicle for parking it too close, wait for a bit and look around the block; chances are you'll find your lost one.

the only thing that works to cancle the H conversion is starting course 10 when 1 second is left. Course 3 is emulator only. (Or just very very unreliable. )

I said in the past that the Heavy conversion doesn't work for me as consistently as I'd like, and this method is no exception. While courses 3 and 4 are indeed extremely unreliable (course 4 is a tiny little bit more "stable"), when I start course 10 with one second remaining, the camera usually shifts to the dirt track, I get the "All courses completed! Manchez unlocked" message, and the game freezes on the "Loading..." screen. Either that, or I pass the mission, thus can't convert again. However, when I start course 10 when the timer hits 0:00 - exactly before passing the mission - it usually works, although there is still chance the whole game will become unstable.

Also, when passing "A Volatile Situation", the bars and plants remain in front of the casino forever, whereas if you successfully kill the mission, they're gone, so this is a good way to tell whether you successfully pulled the Heavy conversion (repeatable) off or you f*cked up on the spot; if the ornaments remain outside the casino, the next time you go to the J marker will start "Blow Up 'Dolls'".

In "The Trouble With Triads", after collecting the money, UH Triad Fish Vans come after you. I tried to lure the drivers into jacking bikes for a potential UH conversion (much like EC Black conversion with "In the Air Tonight" in VCS). The bikes do not become UH, but the enemies do go for them. Does this mean it's a possible candidate for DP bike conversion? As a bonus, Ma's killers behave in much the same way, so there is a small chance we can make DP bikes from "No Son of Mine" to "Making Toni". However, this is somewhat unlikely, as they all attack you when you get close, just like the criminals from "Vigilante".

How could we make the bikes DP if we need the PED's to go after them even you are near/on the bike?

sooo, btw, RayStriker sent a few photos of a NE Hoods Rumpo XL.

Guess that solves another mysterium.

On PSP, this vehicle might be obtainable by just having a few marked cars hanging around and starting the mission Rough Justice.

This is why I said somewhat unlikely. I thought this was impossible with "The Made Man", as when I tried it, the Sindaccos started attacking me as soon as I got close, but turns out I was wrong. I didn't have any success with "The Trouble With Triads", "No Son of Mine" and, by extension, Ma's killers in free roam, but who knows.

It has been confirmed that the Hoods Rumpo XL can be NE in theory, third-party device or not, but nobody has managed to make it spawn in game, up until now I guess. Did this guy explain how exactly he got it? Because having too many cars loaded and starting "Rough Justice" of all missions doesn't make much sense to me.

RayStriker got it via cheat-device. Rough Justice has a scripted Hoods rumpo.

Having many cars loaded should prevent cars which could have extras from spawning before you start the mission.

I have to say that its not a separate car for the cheat device, but I could make it spawn very easy though

Thank you sir for proving that I have not gone crazy.

Saving the game after losing something still isn't smart :D:p

Opening/closing Garages, especially Portland BEFORE saving the game isn't smart, either. You should only check on Vehicles and open/close Garages AFTER you SAVE AND RELOAD. If you RELOAD and they are there, then you have them. If you reload and they are missing, then you lost them. Besides even if this is true, you still lost it cuz unlike PSP, they won't be on the road behind the Safehouse or something. For PS2, they're just GONE. I always knew the Portland Garage was faulty but approaching it slowly is the key. It all boils down to experience. I've lost Vehicles when I was a noob. Haven't lost any in a couple years...But nothing is permanently lost considering I make backups...You know, the smart thing to do. I wouldn't waste my time if I wasn't backing anything up. Cuz after all the work and losing something, you just wasted your time in the worst possible way, as well...

If I had realised I lost a vehicle I wouldn't save the game (duh) and yes I believe it's an experience thing as you said. I started off a couple years back collecting vehicles occasionally, using GTASeriesVideos as a guide, nothing too serious. It's only been the last 4-5 months where I have started using the guides here and becoming a serious collector. Backups - they're smart, yes, but the reason I don't make back ups is this: just say for e.g. I'm on mission 23 of the game, and I collect a special vehicle, then I save the game and make a backup. I continue through the game until I get to mission 46, where I realise that I lost the vehicle I collected on mission 23. This is where I find backups pointless - because the save is from mission 23, so now I have to start playing the game all the way from mission 23 again, just to keep that vehicle, and that is something I'm not prepared to do. Just today I reached SSV, and just say for e.g. that I lose my AP/PP/H Banshee, there's no way I'm going all the way back to Sayonarra Sindaccos, just for that one vehicle, if it means I have to progress through the game all the way to get back to my current state again. Now sure, you can overwrite your backup each time you overwrite your regular save, but how do I know that at some point between the mission I obtained the special vehicle, and the mission I'm currently on, that the vehicle didn't dissappear? Cuz it's not like I check all my garages before I save, in that case I would have to, to make sure I haven't lost any vehicles.

Mors, you know a lot more than me about this special vehicle stuff, don't ever take what I say as offense towards you, (I know you don't, but just in case I come across that way) I'm still learning the ropes, trying to get my head around things.

With that said, my LCS save should be finished in about 2-3 weeks, with pictures.

Who said you need to play and do THAT MUCH WORK in between each backup? I literally make a backup like every 5% game completion or so or every (difficult) Special Vehicle obtained so I don't have to go through all the work again if something happens. Like I said, there is a smart way to play...

It's a simple concept, even if you don't make a backup. But EVERY TIME you're done doing a "Run" or whatever progress you do in a day, you always reload, check it all, make a new backup. You don't make like 2-3 backups the entire game. I make like 20 backups for each LCS Save to 100% with 12 Special Vehicles, basically...

Since I go for 30 or less Safehouse Visits in LCS for each 100% Save, it's quite easy to simply just make a Backup after every Run. 30 Runs? 30 Backups. I usually do a 90 Minute Run (1 Hour and 30 Minutes) with perfection, then save the game. Then reload the game, check on everything, make a new Backup. It's not difficult...

That's still a fair bit of work! Just say I do a run and complete 5% of the game in that run, then I back it up. Then I continue my run and achieve another 5% only to find out that I lost a vehicle from my last save. So then I go back to my last backup and get that 5% ALL OVER AGAIN. Sure 5% isn't much, but depending on the missions passed during that 5% run, with my noob level of skill, that could take ages. I don't understand backups. I know I sound like a real dumbass, but I don't understand them, and I can only tell you how I see it. I don't know any other way of explaining it to you. The only back ups I make are on PS3 because I can put the saves onto a USB.

I'll start doing what you said about that backup each run thing, and I'll see how that goes. This is what I'll do:

Do a run, save the game.

Reload the game and check all garages.

Reload the game again (because I like to keep the 'Time Played' stat down) and save in slot 2, or whatever slot is available.

Eventually I'll run out of space, as there are 10 slots I think it is. 10 or 12. Also, why don't you just overwrite the last backup after you do a new run?

Fair bit of work? If you make NO Backups at all and screw up, then you'll have to reload from the BEGINNING instead of the 5%...

This is what I do for PS2 GTA Projects: For example, I do the 3rd Save so I want the Save to be in the 3rd Slot. When I do my first Run I save at the 3rd Slot. When I do my second Run, I save at the 4th Slot and check all Garages. If something is deleted I reload from the 3rd Slot and do it again and save at the 4th Slot. Simple concept...

Of course, I would want the 3rd Save to be in the 3rd Slot (Starter Save is in the 8th and Final Slot), so I will have to use the 5th Slot, but that depends if the number of Runs is even or odd, so I organize the Runs so that I'll save at the 3rd Slot for the 3rd Save... Same goes for all other Games. Basically everything like how you said...

It's a really simple concept and not hard to understand at all... Always make Backups, the 3D Era Garages suck and same goes for the HD Era Parking Spots and V's Garages. CW's Garages are fullproof and never eat Vehicles, VCS's Garages also seem very stable. LCS's Garages, especially the Portland one, can occasionaly delete Vehicles but it's not much of a huge deal... VC's Garages also seem to be okay and same goes for III. SA's Garages can suck sometimes but the Impounds in SA are hands down the worst of the worsts, right next to V's Garages...
