Giantsgiants 8,059 Posted April 5, 2016 (edited) I did some searching, and there doesn't seem to be a single thread discussing this, so I'd thought I'd be the first to discuss bhangra. Bhangra is a type of music. The name may sound Indian, but it actually originated in the United Kingdom (although it was started by South Asian immigrants). Below is a video showing a mix of bhangra songs to give you an idea of what the genre sounds like. What do you think of this type of music, gtaforums? Tigereyesxx 373 Posted July 20, 2018 Modern mixes can be amazing to dance to...the beat is now crossing over into contemporary dance music, you hear it all the time. It will have a massive impact...
Crossbones 769 Posted July 26, 2018 The term 'Bhangra' actually means a type of traditional dance in Northern India especially the state of Punjab and Punjab province of Pakistan. Bhangra music which started in UK was the Indian folk music altered by using various instruments. It's really popular now in some places, but I don't find it much interesting. But, it's really amazing to dance to.
Rhoda 6,118 Posted July 26, 2018 The video posted above is blocked in my country apparently, though that might be my VPN. Either way, here is another mix which does a pretty good job at exposing you to the basics of bhangra. I quite like the genre, but I'm going to be honest I would have had no idea what it was called if you'd have asked me. I'm always fond of the convergence of styles, particularly if they cross continents.
