What should the next GTA learn from GTA V?

Recommended Posts

It would be nice if the PC version had fewer, or better yet, no delays this time around. Only if the optimization wouldn't suffer as a result, of course. Either way, as long as next-gen consoles don't come out so soon after the game's launch like PS4/XBOne did with V, I imagine the console to PC gap won't be as large for VI.

I'd honestly like for a return to having a single protagonist. While I thought switching between Michael/Trevor/Franklin was fun gameplay-wise, at the end of they day, they didn't seem as fleshed out as they could have been if the game mainly revolved around one of them. Don't get me wrong, they're developed well enough as it is (moreso Michael and Trevor than Franklin), but compared to someone like Niko or John Marston, there is still room for improvement.

Never stop developing even after the game is released, that's what they should learn from GTA V.

By that I'm talking about the development main team.

Just like how there's a team to develop the online part, there should be one for SP.

How to never write an inconsistent and devoid of any serious mature content story.

There is one thing that always bothers me with every (openworld) rockstar title:

After the story is done , that's it , it's done , you get absolutely nothing.

The games are good don't get me wrong but i always miss this "aftermath of your actions" in these games , especially in V there is just nothing it's like the whole game is dead and you only have the ambience and some few uncompleted sidetasks.

RDR did some improvements on these with the dynamic events and also IV/EFLC did some improvements with the side thingies you could do.

And what the hell was North thinking on the interiors and shops in the game ???

The story should be longer and better written than the story of Grand Theft Auto V. More missions and less crap like the minigames.

They should learn to keep Online the f*ck away from SP, that would be a good start!

Then, they should understand that ousting The Benz was a bad move.

No explosive rounds on jets and no cops since passive exists and if you don't want to fight you don't have to.

  • Story

Character development

Hand to hand combat

RDR animation physics

Passive mode is actually a passive mode.

More interiors with more interactivity inside them

Purchasable homes (for SP)

More missions

Invincibility cheat should last forever until you deactivate it

A real Superman cheat

More clothing options

Let us buy licensed clothing for like $1.99 and give the original creators a portion.

Hopefully to not ignore SP and keep it from getting new stuff that Online gets...... Benny's should have been in SP.

And remove jets entirely. Military fighter jets, actual planes can stay. :)

That is from Twisted Metal. SR has no licensed clothing.

I'm talking about the flaming hair I know who sweet tooth is. GTA has more integrity than that...

Actually give a damn about the story instead of throwing in a bunch of slaptick sh*t that gets old fast, and don't do drugs when writing either.

Some are saying 'Don't listen to the fans' but the fans all want it 'to be just like IV'

It won't be like IV, then.

The most important thing to me is the death screens from gta 4, thats what made gta 4 fun watching your dead body do outrageous like the famous helicopter fly through the air, thats the biggest thing and the other is vehicle damage and pshysics, fast sharp turns will make your car flip and smashing your car into a wall at full speed would total your car while flying through the windshield - thats another thing, its instant death when you fly through the windshield which doesnt make it fun unlike gta 4 where you get to watch and cringe at the way niko hits the ground

I’d like more interiors and better AI than GTA 5 had.

Also I’d like the world to be utilized better. GTA 5 had a beautiful city but too few interiors and too little interactivity

Don’t make NPCs constantly say the same generic one liners repeatedly. I know previous GTA titles did this as well but it wasn’t so constant. If I hear that “whatever, dude” guy one more time... :kekw:

There has been an audio bug too in GTA V. Sometimes NPCs will speak and then sound like a different NPC a second later. Although, I haven’t heard it in some time so they most likely fixed it.

And seriously... make food vendors actually do their job instead of standing there whilst people just walk on by. lol They are literally in V for no reason. You can’t interact with them like in IV. NPCs in IV even interacted with them in.

I’d like missions that are fun just like GTA 5 did. In GTA 5 I was excited to play the missions because of the fun factor instead of just wanting to see what’ll happen next
