(Even though this its technically double-posting,it's actually giving new news about the mod therefore editing it to my previous post would make no sense)

I don't want to be harsh, but maybe its a good idea to post when u have something big to show, because now you bump the thread every single every time you make a tiny texture change.

News is news regardless of how big or small it is it's showing something new to the mod..i post whenever i change something to the game or find a new discovery that could greatly benefit the mod.

and even though these changes seem "small" to you it's literally taking me hours to make these changes..just to randomly be insulted afterwords.

Never knew it literally takes hours to change the hue of a texutre and slap a moustache on it. The more you know, I guess.

Also he wasn't even insulting you.

he wasn't insulting me obviously,i was aiming more at this

At first i thought this was a classic Aprils Joke (Gangster Sit Fix) because it sure does look like it, but then i noticed the topic was created one day ago..

I don't know.. you're late i guess.

(and i didn't mean the police officer in particular i mean the triads the main character and editing cutscene lines)

Here's my take on this man, if you want to make mods, go with small mods and stay away from projects that you'll never finish. So far your ambitions for this mod are off the roof when compared to your abilities. You want to make a total conversion and meanwhile it takes you hours to edit a few ped textures and add new cutscene lines or whatever. I'm not being mean here, I'm just giving you advice not to waste your time because this isn't going anywhere.

thanks for the advice ,but all that was was inspiration for me to quit modding and to never make anything...as of right now i'm still learning that doesn't mean i can't get better in the near future for me i see the glass half full instead of half empty...that's like if someone was training for a competition only to be told that they'll never amount to anything...not to be rude but all your "take" on this is,is for me to stop modding now becuase you don't like the way the mod looks.

I don't think you understand the concept of starting small. I never told you to stop making things, but to stop planning things you won't complete. You should make small mods that you will finish and then go beyond with more experience, that's it.

it's better to start on a big mod then a small mod with a bigger mod it gives you more expierence for the future

and what makes you think i won't finish it?

If you can't swim and want to learn how do you just jump in the ocean?

Also, look at your other topics you abandoned.

I only abandoned an old topic to work on this one since it's a more solid idea..

your saying "Topics" as if i just go around and make one topic then choose another over and over...

and you gotta crawl before you walk how can you just make small mods and then expect to get any better the only way to get better is to challenge yourself

I give up, you make amazing mods. Keep on doing what you're doing friend.

Let's just agree to disagree.

and what makes you think i won't finish it?

I made an account just to tell you basically the same thing this guy was (trying) to tell you.

Dude, how hard is it to understand that you shouldn't try to immediately jump into modding PROJECTS when it's apparent your skills need work? It's absolutely childish to want to make a FULL CONVERSION (PROJECT) without heed, then drop everything because things were harder than you thought.

This is a modding subforum, correct? Why is it that you can't seem to reach out to any of the people here for advice, or even for help?

If you can't crawl then you can't walk, and if you can't walk you can't run.

asking people for help is what i've kinda been doing for weeks...and if my skills need work now is the perfect time to work on them with this mod.and why would i drop the mod becuase of that reason..if anything i'd try to work even more on it..

A simple model made in Blender and the other a simple MS Paint retexture of the game.

Both dropped for a project that is ten times as hard to achieve. You mean to tell me that despite dropping two simple projects in the span of three weeks that you would "work harder" in the face of difficulties on this newest project?

Forgive me if I have my doubts.

The claude one in blender i'm actually still working on...i never finished nor quit making it..

and the cartooned one i quit it becuase it was too simple...it's the fact that it was made in MS paint was why i deleted it..i wasn't impressed on how it looked nor the idea of it either

and i know it's ten times harder to achieve that's the #1 reason i'm working on it.

Don't you think you should get the basics down first?

To be frank, you suck, kiddo. You need to fix that.

by editing the models and the textures i'm not only working on the mod,but getting the "basics" down as well..i mean i have gotten at least slightly better

(and the least you can do is give constructive critism if you know it "sucks" why not give in-detail tips on what can make it better?)

"Getting the basics down"? You've been "getting the basics down" for the last 4 weeks.

Anyone and their grandmother can change a texture and put it in a .txd file. Even the model you made looks horrible, it looks like something a child would make for a school project in elementary. Can you even, like, rig a ped? Make the dummies work on a car model? Write scripts?

And from what I've observed, people have been offering constructive criticism for as long as you've been turning out trash. Wise up.

What are you getting so worked up about?...just calm down...also that wasn't constructive critism you pointed out knitpicking flaws for sure but you haven't typed a single thing that could've helped me fix the model...

I wasn't really offering an extensive deconstruction of your "work", rather referencing the outpouring of support you've received from the people here.

Actually, you know what? I'll be back in 5 minutes. I'll have something to show you by then.

Okay, kiddo. Take a look at this. What do you see? Success, perhaps? A superior modder? Moi?

no offense but all you did was put an oil filter on tommy's skin...and what was the point in making it?...to get back at me for no reason?

not to mention that you literally made that in like 5 minutes

Edited by Sonicguy41

Yo, I think he is mocking you, dude.

Well reasoned, friend.

It's not actually just "an oil filter", but I wouldn't expect you to know that anyhow.

Yes, I made it in 5 minutes. What else do you want in that time? Whereas it takes you "literally hours" to draw lines in MS Paint, I made a good-looking skin in 5 whole minutes.

Maybe you should be taking notes rather than feebly defending yourself.

"I made a good-looking skin in 5 whole minutes"

Please for the love of god tell me this is some kind of troll.

I am baffled.

Your arrogance is completely unwarranted. I lost five minutes of my life on a joke that turned out better than something you lost hours on. And you meant it to be serious.

So you're telling me you wasted 5 minutes on reading a post that most would've zoomed by in 3 seconds?...

i'm guessing it took more time reading it then it did to make this...and more brain cells for that matter

omfg dude are you serious

That's a joke. I was parodying you, as your friend pointed out earlier. Seems that you've chosen to ignore him, like you've ignored anyone else who tried to steer you on the right path.

I'm aware :3
