Atari-Dude 40
I think there should have been a radio station called "K-Hits" in Liberty City Stories which would have the following songs: * The Cars -- "Just What I Needed" * Blue Öyster Cult -- "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" * Steve Miller Band -- "Abracadabra" * Pink Floyd -- "Another Brick In The Wall" * Manfred Mann -- "Blinded By The Light" * Styx -- "Come Sail Away" * Van Halen -- "Dreams" * Huey Lewis & The News -- "I Want A New Drug" * Genesis -- "Land Of Confusion" I can just imagine some of the weird introductions they'd say to some of these songs
Terrc87 136
Btw did there is hit song that appears on GTA LCS radio stations? I guess GTA III and GTA LCS is using underground artist to make a name for theirself. But I will choose alt. rock or pop punk song that reaches the hit like Smashing Pumkins, Oasis, Lit, and Green Day or blink-182 although GD and blink is rise up from Southern California which is in West Coast but still East Coast need some punk too EDIT: Oh yeah I remember a film called CBGB that shows underground punk scene acts in New York 1970s. I guess back in LC '98 there should be a punk radio station which the setlist would be a song from famous punk scene artist like Iggy Pop, The Ramones, Lou Reed, Misfits and might be The Police too Edited March 9, 2017 by Terrc87

Using less popular acts saves money and gives good acts recognition. 2. Some of the songs in the game actually are hits in the genre they are from (Rise, K-Jah, Double Cleff). 3 Those songs were used for atmosphere purposes. 4 Pop Punk for teens does not fit the mood of the game. 5 You know that music from bands like Green Day costs a lot? 6 Pop Punk just dosen't fit the GTA style game anyway if you ask me. 7 East Coast got Punk bands. You see. On the East Coast, Punk isn't corporate Pop music with guitars... It's heavy hardcore Punk stuff. 8 CBGB was a club. 9 Lou Reed, Police, and The Misfits on the same station would be a disaster (one plays Art Rock, Other plays New Wave/Ska, And the other hardcore Punk) 10 I want a Punk station too. But not a mess filled with Art Rock and Pop Punk. 11 They could have had a station just made up of Black Flag tunes and I would be happy. Two And Three 122
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QT9mQM4ZglQ Libery Jam genres : East Coast Hip Hop and Mafiosa Rap. Coolio is West Coast Hip Hop. Sorry don't fit. The song fits WCC better. And personally I think The Prodigy song dosen't fit either. But both songs are great and it's just my opinion.
GTA3Claude 29
I know that I'm bumping an old thread and I apologize for doing that. But I also think it's a pity that LCS feature so little "mainstream" songs. Anyway, here are two tracks I would have loved to hear during gameplay (Sorry I don't know how to put hypertext links or embed Youtube Video) The Cardigans - My Favourite Game Garbage - As Heaven Is Wide

jabbahut 5
I'm surprised this song has not been mentioned, because it is the epitome of the whole game:Steve Miller's "Take the Money and Run" For those of you who never heard the song, here's a YouTube link with lyrics in the poster's comments: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WCFUGCOLLU True story - Long ago when I was playing the single player story line, I was playing with Franklin going around the whole map robbing stores to get me some cash (before he met Michael). After I finished robbing the convenience store in Sandy Shores (near Trevor's house), I got on my Bati 801 & fled the cops as they showed up right when I robbed it. I turned on my custom radio station, and what started to play? This song! So appropriate! How the hell did the AI know to play this song at this particular moment, especially when I had it to play songs at random?!? Why the heck didn't Rockstar include this song in a radio station? It goes with the game so well, especially if they scripted it to play when you play a heist in the story line. Edited November 11, 2017 by jabbahut
Osric 160
I'd add some new stations if I could. I'd personally like to see a black metal station in LCS, something similar to L.C.H.C in The Lost And Damned. I could see the station playing at the hideout of the bikers, and some of the tracks would make for great songs playing during some of the missions. Imagine Toni in a shootout with the Sicilians or the Yakuza while Bathory and Mayhem are playing on the radio. Here's how I would have such a station work. Radio Abyss Format: Black Metal DJ: Fenriz as Himself Track Listing Venom: Bloodlust Celtic Frost: The Heart Beneath Bathory: Hades Mercyful Fate: Evil Sarcofago: Black Vomit King Diamond: Welcome Home Mayhem: Freezing Moon Burzum: Dunkelheit Darkthrone: Transilvanian Hunger Emperor: I Am The Black Wizards Satyricon: Mother North Thorns: Home I've also got ideas for an oldies station (Liberty City Classics) and a classic country station (Farm Boy FM). I'm a huge fan of classic country, so maybe I am letting personal tastes get in the way. Here is the oldies station. Liberty City Classics Format: Oldies DJ: Quentin Tarantino as Himself Tony Bennett: Rags to Riches Frankie Valli: Grease The Cleftones: Can't We Be Sweethearts The Crests: Step By Step The Crystals: He's A Rebel The Chiffons: One Fine Day The Monotones: Book of Love The Everly Brothers: All I Have To Do Is Dream Ritchie Valens: Donna Elvis Presley: Viva Las Vegas Danny & The Juniors: At The Hop Bill Haley & The Comets: Rock Around The Clock Buddy Holly: That'll Be The Day The Beatles: I Want To Hold Your Hand Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons: Walk Like A Man Neil Sedaka: Next Door To An Angel Little Eva: The Loco-Motion Gene Chandler: Duke of Earl Fats Domino: Ain't That A Shame Edited December 12, 2017 by Osric

No. 231
They should have included real 90's songs. They really really missed a chance with this game, the soundtrack had so much potential. They should have had some songs by The Prodigy and some actual pop boy bands, plus Britney Spears or Madonna imo. I agree with GTA3Claude too, those 2 songs would fit perfectly. The Flashback FM radio should have been a 70's disco and funk radio with some Bee Gees, The Trammps, Hot Chocolate, etc., since the late 90's were very nostalgic for the late 70's. Whoever was in charge of making the radios for this game was either extremely limited by budget or just did a terrible job at picking the songs.
