Spadge
Hey boys and girls Been playing GTA for a while with absolutely no problems, also after Lowriders classic. I stopped 2 days ago and resumed today, I changed nothing, and after 5 to 10 minutes 'gta5.exe stopped working'. I have no idea what it could be, have you ? Pow3r3d0610
Yep, apparently new updates caused this issue. Spadge
Incorgnito
Also having the same issue, and have seen others in my session complaining as well. I was previously having the keyboard/mouse & Xbox One controller issues that was caused by Windows 10 64-bit updates, and I could remedy that by going into settings -> update & security -> advanced options -> view your update history -> uninstall updates, then right clicking on the latest update and uninstalling it. However with this latest windows update, KB3140741 I do not get any options to uninstall when clicking on it... I can do some digging around to figure out if it's possible to remove it; hopefully some form of legitimate fix comes out from Microsoft or Rockstar though. Spadge
Oh, so I'm not alone, that's a good start I'd say. Do you recon re-installing the game would help ? ninjaontour
Don't do anything lol, this will be fixed. It's extremely widespread, so don't go reinstalling the game or anything like that. Give R* some time to fix it, and in the meantime go ahead and start a ticket at R* support. The more people make noise, the faster sh*t gets solved. A quick look at the support site shows this is a big issue: https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/communities/public/topics/200063373-Grand-Theft-Auto-Online Edited March 25, 2016 by ninjaontour

Shy Star
Interestingly enough, this same problem has been occurring with the PS4 version of Grand Theft Auto V.
SpeederX96
This has happened to me today, and I have never had problems with GTA V PC in the past. Good to know I'm not the only one.
joe1606
Me and two friends of mine have experienced this too. I remember my game crashed that way before the release of the halloween festive surprise. Maybe it's related to the next lowrider content to be unlocked ? Jeffrowxpmax
I use to be able to just turn the key and play. Now it's like all the planets have to line up just right first. Shut Steam off, start MSI, then start the game. Sometimes I get a game didn't start error, but it starts. : / Surely will need to be rebooted and if not done properly it will still have problems, haha. So sometimes two reboots is required. Hit and miss other times. About the same for getting on-line, staying on-line and staying with friends. They get hung in the clouds and I have to quit the mission to free them from ending up in single player or closing the game and restarting the whole process over. Just your typical day at the office for a PC gamer, haha. Edited March 25, 2016 by Jeffrowxpmax
dimitrispgr
Happened to me too, when changing from my online character to Michael. Goes to Michael and, crash. i3, GTX 950, 8GB RAM, Windows 10 64bit
SpeederX96
Played today for about 2 hours including leaving it on while doing other things and the game did not crash at all. I ran a disk defrag overnight, but I don't know if that's what fixed it or it may have been a possible hotfix by Rockstar.
WATER DRAGON
I haven't been having it crash that fast but I think sense the new update the game has crashed at least maybe 3 times on me.
