[idea] Why not adding a special chat?

For example, A crew could make this chat which would be located bottom right and it's basically a " Chat Box" crew members can use to communicate with each other.

And you could add funny emojis and text colors and etc..

There's the GTANet IRC, but if you're talking about crews making live chats that's something you'd do with IRC, sype or the like - there isn't really any need for that to be implemented on GTAF, considering there's already crew/gang threads.

True, but having a chat box would make people want to use this more than they use skype no?

I don't think the forums lose anything by not having a chat system like you're describing. I know we're all about being social, but there's not really any need when there are services like Skype and IRC around that people already use habitually anyway. I also don't know how much work would have to go behind hosting a chat client on the forums, and whether or not it would be a strain. You'd have to work out who has permission to use what chats, and that could be a logistical nightmare. On top of that, the spam would be incredible - people are already loose cannons in their own crew topics, I daren't imagine how bogged down people would get with something like a chat system.
