SA Model's UV maps get mangled when exported...

When I export a model for use in San Andreas via Kam's 3ds Max scripts, the model appears to have warped UVs in game, as well as when I reimport them to check for problems.

The warped UVs only occur in some areas, and I haven't seen a clear pattern to it yet.

The models are both fairly detailed, I'm not sure if I'm just running up against a polygon limit, or if there's some extra considerations I'm just overlooking.

I've also had one of them have some of it's vertices wind up completely mangled.

Is there something I'm not doing right?

Fixed it by exporting the model to .3DS format, and them reimporting it. Guess the exporter likes to have the UVs broken up more.
