Some clothes actually unlock at slightly higher than 120, but it's probably higher than 120 because they have options to add higher rank content later on. I quite like to be able to get higher than 120, at least now I have unlocked everything I'm not just stuck at 120 with absolutely no progression at all. It's nice to see my rank go up still even though I know I have nothing left to unlock.

Simply, Rockstar doesn't give a f*ck. They got your $, they're done with you. They are not losing money or risking any legal action so this is a very low priority issue for them.

In our rush to be cynical, let's not outsmart ourselves here. Rockstar "cares" insofar as GTA Online is their cash cow. Too many cheaters and griefers running around sours the experience for a large number of players. Players being unhappy means ex-players, which means fewer shark cards sold. It is in their best interests as a business to at least occasionally fix exploits and glitches - which they do - and close up the loopholes used by modders - which they do, though not as fast or as often as most of us would like. There have also been multiple rounds of ban-waves where large numbers of modders got permanently exiled from the game. Go read about it on a certain infamous modding forum that I won't name - there are threads full of people talking about their bans there.

 

Bottom line: they do care (or at least are financially motivated enough to try to do something), but stuff like fake level 8000s is really not on their radar compared to money glitchers, DNS servers, and mod menu users.

Some people really don't want to deal with spending all their time ranking up and unlocking everything, although the game does get boring with having loads of money and RP, you don't get any significant advantage if you have a modded account.

 

Sure they may have a Hydra, Savage, Insurgent pickup, etc., but do they have the skill to use it?

Everytime I find a player with such high level on a session I report them without hesitation, I think the reason is obvious enough if Rockstar see my submissions.

 

A good question would be, why would somebody hack in such way? I mean, if I wanted to hack my character level, I'd do it to a rank that seems legit, not for one that screams "hey, I have an hacked account!". It's so stupid because they just make a fool out of themselves, I see everybody on the session calling them hackers just because of their level, and I use to kick those guys everytime they join an event I'm hosting.

It's taken me 40 days to get to 10,000,000RP. 1,787,576,850 divided by 10,000,000 = about 178. 178 x 40 days = 7120 days. Which is about 19 and a half years. I was being a bit generous because you could be more keen and level up quicker than I have been.

Modded accounts have a faster run, deeper pockets and unlimited ground fireworks. The faster run is an advantage. I only use my pne modded account to check out the new dlc stuff before making the purchases on my main. I'll also use it for dm and dogfighting because i care about my kd on my main too much (i know).

Lvl 693 1st character , lvl 301 2nd character. And I'm a day 1'er. Everything been unlocked and nothing changes after 135.

If I see a modded account, I get any of my friends online in my session to report them for exploits and kick them, they shouldn't get to enjoy the game if they can't legitimately earn anything.

 

And they absolutely suck anyway, I've 1v1 an 8000 in a jet with me in a Buzzard. He couldn't get a single kill on me yet I got him 5 times. They're just compensating for their poor skills, to make people fear them in a session.

I would quibble slightly in that R* isn't really interested in going after money glitchers either. I've known many who have done it repeatedly. No one has ever been tagged. It appears R*'s method is to just patch it out and dial down your ability to sell cars. No other punitive measures come down the pike, unless you are dumb enough to do it publicly and get recorded doing it.

You can buy these modded accounts on ebay for about £5-10. Everything unlocked, stacks of gta dollars.... I can see why this route would appeal to some people. Personally I think it stinks and I always kick these idiots from anything I'm hosting. I stop short of actually reporting them because I'm not a snitch and nothing is likely to be done about it anyway.
