Where do you first aim when you try to shoot someone?

The head or the nuts. It's a shame the game doesn't show the places where you shoot people like in MOH Airborne.

Aim for the head, Auto Aim tap thumbstick to ensure headshot, when sniping head.... if they are wearing a helment I wait til I can shoot the face haa

The helmet rumor started back on gta iv and IS NOT TRUE.

Vagina or testicles. That way they can't reproduce, thus cutting off their bloodline forever.

I use auto aim and tap up on stick.

that's a bit ironic because I play free aim and if I try to aim at the head but miss I lightly tap down on the stick. It's like 2 different worlds bruh! :)

A good tip for those pesky npc, if the npc is a bullet sponge tap the fire button instead of holding it. It's probably just desynched or lagging.

Funnily enough, I have similar issues with the sniper rifle (given that it's free aim. TBH though, as you know yourself, Auto aim points you at the largest part of the target, so you need to tap up. When free aiming you are focussing directly on the head without the assist, so are likely to miss-aim trying to find the initial focus. Once you set a mark you simply adjust. More experience give quicker and more precise focus with less need to adjust.

Full auto in their general direction, eyes closed, screaming hysterically and waving my weapon about in a panic, back-pedalling as if my life depended on it. Which, in these cases, it usually does.

Spray and pray, all the way

[in Richard Hammonds voice and enthusiasm]

I'm gonna shoot him in the BACK!

When the Stig went public.... But in truth - auto aim, and slightest nudge up. Technically spray and pray, but i want to sound like i know what i am doing.

I don't. Maybe its the lag, but when ever I shoot of the dead it takes more than ten shots to kill a person. However it takes them under ten to take me down...

Obvious 1St shot body then killshot to the head then maybe a "GLASGOW SEND OFF" ie a bullet in the rectum

2 in the chest / 1 in the head

...not necessarily in that order or quantity :)

They should have banned auto aim from this discussion.

"I shoot where the game tells me to then tap up"

In this game I aim for the head becouse putting the game on harder difficulty only makes the enemy get more hit points but the head is always a one shot kill. The proper way IRL to shoot someone is to aim for the center of the body if it is an a moving combat situation.

Aim first for the chest first because it's the biggest area to lock on to, then shoot while moving your aim to the head (1 bullet to the head will instant kill).

I aim for the legs if they are wearing bp helmet and vest. If they are not ill aim for the head.

Same, i've done it since the days of RDR.

There's aiming at all in this game?
Even Free-Aim is riddled with "Free-Aim Assisted" noobs. The idea of considering pressing LT/L2 + RT/R2 as aiming is laughable.

"Free aim is too hard"

Uh no.

"This isn't CoD"

If its gtas first person then give me free aim. Why? Who plays a fps with AA? Lazy gamers.

Best way to be safe from my sheanigans is to be inside any car or on a bike when i am driving. I can't hit a barn from inside if i am driving.

I once chased the f*cking truck on the GOH-mission from highway exit to the LSIA. If i am soloing it, i just cruise down to the airport area nowadays.

Wherever VATs tells me I have a good chance of hit. Oh wait, wrong game....

I aim for the head, unless they're wearing those damn bulletproof helmets.

It depends on the situation and the target.

The only times I aim for the head are when I know I can take the time to be precise. (sniping an unaware target, or I know a player will peek a corner)

In AutoAim I'll hold the reticule above head level and then prefire while snapping to the target.. This ensures a first shot headshot and almost always insta-kills them.
