bLo0dD
I haven't played my PC version is quite some time, but I did add a lot of mods in. This was when the mplowrider dlc came out a few months ago. Since then I've updated to Windows 10 so I did a fresh install of GTA5 however I still have the game directories backed up from the lowrider dlc with all my mods intact and a fresh install of gta5 after lowrider update. Script mods etc I just downloaded new versions, and they work no problem obviously. However I did install about 70 - 90 car mods in my previous gta5 so I'm wondering if it's possible to easily transfer or copy those mods to my new gta5 installation with the latest dlc updates. I know OpenIV has a feature where you can copy the mods in to the /mods folder and it will automatically pick them up so as I'm typing this I'm copying all the x64__.RPF files in the gta5 root directory, and the common.rpf, along with the update folder to the new installation in the MODS folder. I'll try to see if this works, but I have my doubts. Does anyone know of an easy way to transfer all my mods with out having to install them one by one? Which would take hours and hours... Thanks!! EDIT: So it wasn't working, all cars showed up as stock in game, but realized I didn't copy the openiv.asi. So after installing the openiv.asi, game just crashes before loading in to story mode... Anyone have any ideas how I could narrow this down or to have just the modified files load up? Or anyway to get my mods to work... Any help would be appreciated... EDIT2: I got some cars to work, by only having the RPF files (x64_.rpf) in the gta5 root directory from my modded gta5 in the "Grand Theft Auto V/Mods" folder. So all the cars/mods I added in the common.rpf and the update folder, I'll have to figure out a different way to get them to work, or copy a few files here and there to narrow down which ones are causing the crashes... Just thought I'd edit this here in case someone else is trying to do the same thing... EDIT3: I got even more cars to work by also adding in the update folder containing only x64/dlcpacks and all the sub folders within. So the only two files I could not copy over with out having gta5 crash is common.rpf and update/update.rpf For those of you who would like to try this, these are the files/folders I copied from my old GTA5 install to my new updated install: Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks <-- everything inside here! Grand Theft Auto V\x64_.rpf <-- ALL the x64_.rpf files inside the root directory. If I get more to work, I'll post here, I'm sure it's useful info unless someone has posted it? If they did, I couldn't find it... Edited March 24, 2016 by bLo0dD
