Xbox 360 only a few cheats work?

I have played all of the GTA series, and have had the PS3 GTA V for years, lately had just been using cheats modes

in Story mode and just wondering around exploring (and other damage) :>

 

I got Xbox 360 GTA V the other day for as i acquired an Xbox recently.

 

Installed it and went thru a few missions (just 1st 2 with Lamar and Franklin after he took the motorcycle home.

 

I cannot use very many cheats (on my ps3, every one of them work).

 

I am using the correct buttons, etc, and i have 2 diff controllers so thats not an issue.

 

The melee attack (explosive) and change weather, and most vehicles spawning works fine.

 

I cannot do others like, give weapons, or invincibility.. just to mess around a bit, not to cheat as you cannot really cheat in story mode as it turns items off like acheivement etc.

 

Ideas on why this is? Do I need to progress in the game further for all Xbox 360 cheats to work?

 

I can tell something is going on on some of the cheats, as franklin punches in the air at the end, right before the cheat would normally work, but no status or popup and nothing happens.

I still play the game normally, but like anyone, like to have a God mode just to lay waste to the place!!

 

Edit - 3/22/16, i tried today after getting Michael character in gta v, and i was able to do invincibility outside the hospital after i died and get weapons, but cant get invincibility, explosive rounds, anything again,, not sure what i did right or wrong.. geez
