Sensui-chan
;_; The different news media seem to largely vary between the number of casualties But whether it's one or eleven people, it's always too much when people have to lose their lives over something like religious extremism (I'm assuming the terroristic motive because just four days ago the major suspect of the Paris terror attacks where 130ish people died was caught by law enforcement)

mr quick
I just saw the news. Seems unlikely that an accident could cause such severe material damage. Assuming that it was indeed an attack, what could someone hope to achieve by bombing this airport?
Svip
Het Laatste Nieuws is reporting that emergency services have found more bombs. The Belga news agency is reporting that shots were fired and shouts in Arabic were heard before the two explosions. According to BBC.

mr quick
I'm seeing some people saying there have been explosions in other places too? e: http://www.lalibre.be/actu/belgique/explosion-au-metro-maelbeek-56f1006a35702a22d59d46da 'Several witnesses on Twitter reported that an explosion took place in the Maelbeek Metro Station' from BBC: Explosion on Brussels metro, system shut down Unconfirmed reports are emerging of an explosion at Maelbeek metro station in Brussels, close to the city's EU institutions. Sensui-chan
^I'll be honest and confirm that because Looking how comparably close the attacks are getting to where I live I am indeed getting very worried that a terror attack might finally hit Germany as well But also I'm kind of surprised that nothing happened, I mean after all we're the most populous country in Europe (if you don't count Russia) and we're still taking in ridiculously many refugees where some of them could easily be ISIS sleepers or whatever But in either case, I just can only wish that it never goes that far and no more people die, and also tbqh I wasn't planning to get killed in a terror attack any time soon I wish I could do more though than just, be here Even if it was something ever so small like giving hugs to affected people who could use them or any other kind of psychological help ;-;

G's Ah's
Assuming that it was indeed an attack, what could someone hope to achieve by bombing this airport? It creates fear and panic. That's what terrorism does. And it's very effective. Good lord. To think that only yesterday I watched the belgian minister of foreign affairs talk about how arresting Abdeslam prevented another potentional attack. Cut off a limb and two more shall take its place, huh? I'd say this was, more or less, pre-planned.

RussianCommie
Another unfortunate loss of innocent people who were going about their day, as they normally would any other day, and die for no reason at all. RIP to all those that were victims of the attacks and thoughts and prayers to the families to deal with the aftermath. These bombings, at least to me, seem similar almost to the London bombings that happened in 2005. Four terrorists blew up three bombs on London underground trains and the fourth bomb on a double-decker bus. With these explosions, two bombs blew up at the airport and a subway. In common, they have that transportation methods were targeted, but It may be nothing.

Abel.
I just saw the news. Seems unlikely that an accident could cause such severe material damage. Assuming that it was indeed an attack, what could someone hope to achieve by bombing this airport? Create a climate of fear and panic. Targeting airports is a message, namely that even in our most secure areas they'll be able to strike. The Belga news agency reports that shots were fired and shouts in Arabic were heard before the two explosions at the airport. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35869254 May the memory of the victims be a blessing.
