Let's talk about the GTAO Train for a moment...

This is exactly the kind of thing I'm talking about. With bandit motorcycles riding alongside, shooting at you. Having to duck into one of those flat, open cars for cover. And having Martin's Anna calling out from the front, "Halp me! Halp me!" or maybe Gerald, "Yo! Hep me, motherfletcher!" or maybe Dom, "My 'chute is tangled... Help me, please, and we'll find some cool spots to jump to!"

 

But I digress. :)

 

 

You could have Brucie held hostage, but he shouts encouraging things like, "You're on the right track" and "Training separates us from the animals. We're evolved - we're 2.0"

These are all excellent points and worth noting for future reference.

 

However, because work's been crazy, I haven't played GTAO in a week.

I'm WAY overdue and tonight, my mission will be to get on that train and raise my stars to 5 and draw cops like Dorothy draws flying monkeys! :p

 

Oh, and for the record, I don't like it either. But I don't mind being one, once in a while.

Get some friends or crew mates, hop on the train and set bounties on each other. Fight it out with the rest of the lobby as they try to claim the bounties.

Similar threads could be made for the cable car (which is long overdue for adding in GTA Online). Same thing for the subway system, and more--numerous untouched areas for missions, etc.

About super fast trains, I don't think they'd be realistic since AFAIK in real life their tracks are safely protected to avoid, you know, somebody accidentally being ran over by a super fast train.

I would like an interactive train.

 

where you park your cars in for the trip.

where you can sit in a passenger carriage.

Darts and what not could be added

Basically, I would use this as a way to travel around the map, but in some sort of style and immersion.

 

Lots of possibilities and ideas though could be implemented into the train.

Love the train. I grabbed a Hot Property briefcase next to the tracks over by the little skatepark with 3 players also vying for it. Thankfully the train spawned and I jumped on. Cue 3 players chasing me up the tracks and getting blown to smithereens as I stand on the cargo carriage with my minigun as the 10 minutes count down.

Who cares ??? They should fully concentrate on single player dlc and gta 6 rather than bunch of cars , weapons , missions , clothes , events , etc ...

You're right, @heycorcverseneborc, no one cares.

 

I don't care, which is why I created the discussion topic.

And clearly no one else cares, which is why there's several pages of replies.

 

But, you know your effort in not participating in the presented discussion is outdone only by your effort in redirecting the conversation to Single Player (in a GTAO forum) and about GTA6, a game that doesn't exist.

 

In the future, I suggest maybe focusing on the presented discussion topic instead of being churlish, and maybe people will respond to you better.

But, back on topic (for anyone who may care - or not) –

 

So, I was able to put in a few hours of gameplay and spent the entire time exploring the train and all it offered.

Getting on was easy enough, especially using the Bati.

 

In the end, however, the Bati began smoking like crazy on the flatbed, for no reason, and when I tried to get on it, I died. what the?

 

Fighting the cops was really interesting. Easy enough to get five stars. The cops, however, give up really quickly.

They aren't too bright, either, as many police cars tried to crash into the train. Pretty funny!

 

It took a long time for anyone to notice me riding in circles around the map, but a few curiousity seekers came looking, only to end up with a homing rocket up their nose. Trying to get even was funny, but no one got close enough to even do any damage.

 

TL;DR: Had a lot of fun battling cops & players on train. A great way to spend time in GTAO when bored or looking for something new!

 

Sidenote: one bummer to learn is that you can't take pictures while on the train. (cheers!)

I get on the train and shoot down police helicopters all the time in Director Mode. I'd like to see more content involving trains, but it's not a massive priority.

Well, there is no train station in the game. I don't think having passenger cars would make sense going through industrial areas.

Train itself was fun once or twice, mainly having a bounty and trying to see what ppl will do. Now someone uses a hydra and the fun is over in 5sec.

If the thought of Volleyball Net puts blood-thinning shivers in your veins, then it's mobile equivalent has to be the Train.

 

 

 

What would happen if the train hit the volleyball net?

 

a) they both annihilate in a burst of energy

b) the train stops, the volleyball net starts moving

c) they can't both exist in the same universe

d) something else

Discovered today that you can kill the engineer in the train cab by ramming it head-on with an Insurgent. Doesn't stop the train of course, but it's amusing to know that even a train operator isn't safe from the Insurgent's ramming power.

That's actually pretty funny! I know you can climb aboard the train and get right up close behind him (I tried to take a pic, but couldn't) before shooting through his window. But this I have to try now! Thanks! :)
