A little worried. I ran prime 95 and my thermal paste on my cpu and cooler wasn't that good and my cpu got to 99 c and I left it like that for 6-7 minutes. People said it can decrease the lifespan of your cpu. I am going to try to rma my 4790k. It's still under warranty.

I only use my phone for, well, phone calls.

Tried using it for net but that small screen just really pisses me off. My finger insists on clicking everywhere but where I want it to click. Same happens when I inevitably have to reply with some text msg.

I could go for something with a larger screen, but how large could it be? I just don't want to carry some brick in my pocket or, even worse, something that won't fit my pocket.

 

Never felt the need to browse the net when I'm outside, so it suits me well as it is.

I'll be the first to say that I use my phone mainly for the net, reading or editing photos. When you're stuck at a desk all day or waiting for something, it really comes in handy.

 

As someone who's not very talkative to begin with, I don't think I can comment on that last part. When waiting around people I don't know I just find something like an article to read and keep my mind busy because I'll just stare into space otherwise. Used to do that before and people were like "are you alright?"

It just isn't my thing.

 

If you're alone trying to kill time, your phone can surely help.

If I can't walk around or there's no one I can talk to, I just prefer to buy some newspaper instead, but again that's just me.

 

Now when you're with friends, I can't understand the constant need to use it in between the Hi and the Bye.

I keep hearing that Guns 'N' Roses are getting back together (but then there are more rumors saying it won't happen). I'm not sure how to feel. I've been obsessed (to put it lightly) since I was 11, and 11 years later they may be doing shows again.

I don't mean the atrocity that Axl slung together (Chinese Democracy, ugh), I mean the originals (although for some reason, I don't think Adler will come back).

 

I would willingly see them live on my own if this actually happens, and shamefully I'd probably cry too.

Slash, oh my good lord.. If I ever got to see him performing with GNR, I may have a mild heart attack. Of course, me being me, I'm not going to get my hopes up, but jesus christ it would be an amazing thing to happen.

They're just too old now. This generation is mainly dominated by Rap and Pop. Rock and Metal were last generation, included with Grunge and Punk.

I mean of course Axl is a f*cking mess, and he has lost that once amazing voice, but if they did do a show, I wouldn't be able to NOT go. It'd be like a once in a lifetime thing for me, especially as most of them have almost died, multiple times.

 

I'll take any chance I get. I've already accepted no new songs will live up to their previous work, I just want to see them together in the flesh (mainly Slash, but y'know I adore the rest).

What's the point of a fast car when speed limits are a thing? Literally doesn't matter if all you're just a regular civvie trying to get from place to place.

TBH. Ego and immaturity that comes with being young. I mean, a lot of other guys ( and girls) out there my age feel the same way I do about wanting a fast car, but yea it's pretty pointless to have a fast car that's just gonna spend most of its time sitting in traffic.

 

Maybe when I'm in a good position I'll look into a track only car.

 

Although the wrx is the all time best daily driver imo , especially in areas that get plenty of snow in the winter.

God I hate money... or the lack thereof. Get a doorbell ring last night after dark, all the dogs freak out and the kid wakes up. Who's there? A process server, Capitol One is suing me for a credit card debt I obviously can't f*cking pay.

 

This morning my paycheck doesn't get deposited because somehow, 2 weeks ago I f*cked up the "self service" adding a new checking account, even though it all said it was fine and I got no communication stating otherwise.... of course I don't have extra money in there to pay for the outstanding bills I already have coming out today. Hello many overdraft and returned check fees.

That f*cking sucks dude. You gotta be due some good luck soon, God knows you deserve it.

I was thinking on getting some factual dates before posting, however before "patience" is lost I'll stick with those that I kinda (II)RC...

 

So, back in the early/mid 90's I went to some huge (<60.000) concert.

Most of my friends went there for Faith no More (last opening band). I went for those roses though, despite also loving FnM.

Last song by FnM and the band asked us (those peasants out there) to throw them bottles (only plastic was available, even back then), so "we" heavily did it.

Encore after encore and so on, break, and Guns arrived.

1st song and Axl heavily crashed after slipping on some plastic bottle. He sang some 2 and 1/2 songs while lying on some mattress an took off.

Slash was lead vocals after that, it lasted for some 2hrs or so - though many won't agree, imo it was the best GnR concert ever.

This most certainly isn't the place to discuss that but I do feel you. People are petty. The ones over in the GTA sections are nothing to really worry about though.
