Lt_Nucky
Hey everyone, graphics card: AMD Radeon R9 200 series recently I've started experiencing a weird problem with some textures in game. At first I thought it was a glitch that happened sometimes when I teleported to a different location using trainers. Something to do with not being able to load all the textures in properly. As it kept happening to the same location over and over again, I decided to actually drive over there instead, but still the exact same glitch keeps happening. It looks like the game loads in the LODs for when you are far away, except it does so when you are close. Note that no matter how long I wait, it does not end up loading the proper textures at all, unless ofc those are beneath the ones for far way. Also note that this happens to very specific locations on the map, always the same ones, in exactly the same way. Rebooting the game, restarting pc does not change any of that. My pc specs are solid, never gave me any problems. The only graphics mods I run are https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/visualv#comment-423254and ENBseries to go with it. Never has given me any problems before, and all are updated to the last version. Same goes for my graphics card drivers. Bloody Mary
Try uninstalling the graphics mod and playing vanilla. If it still does it, this looks very similar to the game running out of visual memory and/or RAM. Check what your visual memory usage it and how many GB of RAM you have installed. Lt_Nucky
It is related to mods, that much I have figured out. But it is not the graphics mod. So far I have reinstalled all mods again, except for vehicle mods. I had several cars and helicopters installed, both replacements & addons. I have a feeling it might be related to either one of those, or perhaps it was because of the amount of them I had installed. Will update if I figure it out more precisely
Solution Lt_Nucky Posted March 31, 2016 Author Solution Share Posted March 31, 2016 So apparantly it is linked to vehicle mods. Could be a single specific vehicle mod, a combination of vehicle mods, or just the amount of vehicle mods I had installed. Anyway, it was explained to me that is due to how GTA 5 loads stuff, for example it loads vehicle files before world files during the booting of the game. And that is where something goes wrong, and it fails to load the proper textures on some buildings. Or so I understand.
