You get close to 1.0 KD? It seems all the people that say "kd dont mean nothin'" always have sh*ttiest kds. Lol of course thats what they would say....

 

I once griefed this guy that had a .99 kd. Bet he was mad.

But truth is, if you aren't working up your K/D, then most likely you're a noob/scrub.

 

Because i already have all the RP & GTA$ i could ever want. The only thing left to do in the game is being a Freemode Warrior and seeing my K/D go up daily.

When i was still a young greenhorn, i could give a sh*t less about k/d. I would never EWO, id go up against crews by myself, and even go afk in the streets in a public lobby.

 

Now ever since i became a more experienced player with the player level/ artillery to be competitive with any one, i said "ok time to actually try to NOT get killed".

 

Ive brougt my kd up from .65 to now 1.38 kdr. Yes it was a steep hill to climb, but at least my k/d doesnt scream "this guy is trash" anymore. I do imagine my "true" kd is at least 2.0 or better though.

Mine is higher but not crazy. I once got over 40 kills in a jet way back when freemode events first arrived. I then parachuted out, questioned myself and took a good long look in the mirror. Haven't done it since.

I wish we could see a "K/D Ratio In The Last 30 Days" stat.

I don't think so, but I do view the 1 K/D mark as the minimum of what a good player should have. I never had to worry about it, since I'm always around 1.5. I do care, but minimally. If I go below 1 K/D, I'd be very disappointed, but I won't go boosting my K/D if that's what you're getting at. I'd say "damn" and simply move on.

I use to not care since my kills were so high it took forever to make it change but in December I reset all my States so I'm a little more caring now. It rises with each time I go online now.

I rely on stats more than k/d when judging a player. If you have a 1.38 k/d ratio but your stats aren't maxxed out, you're trash.

Not saying that 1.0 kd is anything imperssive. 1.01 is where its at (ok im exaggerating). That means that hands down, youve killed more players in gtao than youve been killed by players in gtao. Its more comfortable on the other side of that margin. All im saying.

 

 

 

Really all i asked is if when you came more near having a positive k/d, did you start to care more about it? (Assuming one has once had a negative k/d) I didnt say kd means nothing or anything.

I have maxed out stats, on both characters.

(Even lung capacity)

But really, maxed stats (strength, stealth mainly) only shows that that person CARES enough to have them maxed. I know plenty of people that dont have fully maxed stats but can own a lobby anyways.

No it really is meaningless.

 

All it means to me is, I'm not the only sh*t player out there. But it doesn't in anyway mean I'm any use in pvp.

I've been killed many times while afk or not paying attention and I'm sure I've killed people in similar ways too.

And many of my kills/deaths will be too crew members when we goof about or have bounties and sh*t.

 

If it was linked to your stats in deathmathes and LTS, etc. Then it might hold some validity.

But for freeroam it shouldn't count.
