Got right....free DLC

Got wrong...Adding 80 Adversary Modes in the last year, enough is enough

Got right...new "ghosting" option

Got wrong...giving it a timer instead of just letting someone ghost a griefer and leave it. Just let the cry babies ghost anyone at any point in time (no option to un-ghost) and you have the best of all worlds. So close Rockstar, maybe in your next slow drip DLC

Got it right - added Hind and Huey attack helicopters.

Got it wrong - constructed them from delicate paper.

Got it right - they continue to add free dlc.

Got it wrong - the dlc is nearly always another adversary mode hardly anyone wants; other stuff gets neglected.

Got it right - made a free roam game with all sorts of vehicles and multiplayer.

Got it wrong - botched it with horrible non - existent servers.

Rockstar can't get something right without also getting it wrong in some way. They're like, the definition of an oxymoron (think that's the right word anyway).

imo R* got a lot of things right with the game, i mean look at us, almost 3years in and we still here, playing the thing.

got it right - the new car customization options they have been adding since october.

got it completely wrong - the badsport system, no explanation needed.

got it right - pegasus and allowing us to call for another vehicle in case we order the wrong one.

got it wrong - the dropdown list for pegasus vehicles.

got it right - the freeroam events.

got it wrong - the excessive use of cooldowns... passive mode, mechanic, merryweather features, lester features, mugger, car selling, vip... way too many!

I think they got the majority of it right.

Sure, there may be a few things wrong here or there, there may be bugs, glitches, modders and what not. But I think, for the most part they got it right. It is an absolutely fantastic (online)game that, for me anyway, is way ahead of anything else in the online gaming community. It has (almost) everything included in this game that the majority of other games have online, and more.

Customised guns in death matches? Got it.

Customised cars racing on custom tracks? Got it.

Feel like robbing a bank with friends? Got it.

Tennis anyone? Got it.

Golf? Got that too

Wanna be a gangster and ride in a pimpmobile? Got it.

Wanna imitate your life stealing cars and selling them to the chop shop? Yep, got that as well.

Want to own some of your favourite cars but don't have that much cash? Well, you can get some digital ones relatively cheap maybe?

The list can go on and on.

For me the Pro's far outweigh the Con's.

Rockstar made a great game. They made a lot of good decisions and they made a lot of mistakes.

-Homing Launcher-

What it is supposed to do: get rid of jets with efficient heat-seeking missiles

What it actually does instead: barely hits anything and is often used as a "low-level RPG"

- Passive Mode -

What it is supposed to do: protects any player who doesn't want to kill anyone from others

What it actually does instead: allows one to torment you and obtain cheap kills

- SUICIDE BUTTON (OH BOY) -

What it is supposed to do: help players who find any game-breaking bugs

Instead: used by K/D pussies to avoid any kills. Also, there is barely any game-breaking bugs, so having something like the suicide button is unnecessary

They need to do something about jets. (Yes I'm elite at this game, but when all four organization members are chasing me in jets, wtf can I do?I use jets too, but it gets boring after the first kill. There's no challenge.) Someone sniped me and I started sniping back and the score was 21 to 3 me. Guess what he did? Yep. And he keep killing me over and over again. They fixed the instant suicides so they need to fix the broken ass jets. That noob cannon should have a cool down or something. They nerfed the tank, so it's time to nerf jets!!! It's way too easy to acquire them too. The noobs start fights and when they start getting their asses beat on the ground, they call Pegsus. So in this case, Rockstar got it wrong, big time! Rockstar doesn't know what they want to do. One day they close the police station, because it's not realistic to have people just walk in there. The next day, players can purchase a freaking fighter jet and a tank! Rockstar, make up your mind. I'm a hardcore GTAO player, but now it's starting to make me, meh...

I think it is cool what they did with yachts. You are perfectly safe from fire, but I don't like the fact that anyone can get on your yacht. I guess it make a little bit of sense seeing you can't really stop someone from sitting on your porch.

I just play the game I don't get annoyed ,I'm happy with everything the way it is thank you very much .

Here's a story to cheer everyone up.

Two guys get talking about how they spend their free time, one says " I keep bees ,I have about three hundred thousand in hives in an apple orchard , how about you ?" the other guy says " that's a coincidence I keep bees too, I have about three thousand and I keep them in a bottle with the top screwed on tight " , but won't that kill them ( asks the first guy ) " Ahh f*ck them,it's only a hobby .

Got it right - heists, creativity behind DLC content, VIP mode

Got it wrong - the 4 player necessity, overpriced vehicles that have too low of a value, adversary modes, patching of fun glitches and ignoring game breaking ones, and trying so hard to neglect Storymode that they put in scripts to disable the latest DLC vehicles and items and taunts in SP.

I wouldn't still be playing if they'd got too much wrong. I've stopped playing games after a day or so if they're that bad. Plenty to praise, though I think GTAO is still full of untapped potential. I hope there's still more to come.

I agree with this though:

Got it wrong - the 4 player necessity

Anyway, as far as i'm concerned...

Got it right: Huge open game world, dozens of vehicles, vehicle diversity, character and vehicle customization, the ability to own vehicles and properties, daily objectives, secondary functions such as Snapmatic, Director Mode and R* Editor, Freemode Events... I could probably add much more here but you get the idea.

Got it wrong: Cops are overly simplistic - I should not be shot and killed for low-level crimes. Encouraging PvP at almost every opportunity while simultaneously expecting players to play nice together in missions, 'locking' content behind a minimum player count (Heists I completely understand and accept, but Lamar Missions?), connection issues, general lack of communication with the player base regarding possible future updates.

I've got a few.

Making an giant, immersive, sprawnling, beautiful urban world : They got it right, like they always do.

Locking every single interior in it, so you cannot do whatever you please and it doesn't feel like you're actually living in it, the basterds got it wrong. (especially the cop station, why did they close it ?? -_-)

Creating the ultamite sandbox game you can enjoy with your friends, an open world where you can genuinely decide how you want to proceed, what you wanna do,

but forcing us to play the same linear missions over and over again to earn cash and, denying any proper mod support and private servers for the PC players, so it ain't so sandbox afterall ... They f*cked up.

Adding a Double-Barrel shottie online : yeah !

Completely f*cking up the gunplay with it, forcing us to empty the whole f*cking clip once we gently caressed the trigger. They got it wrong, or how I'd describe it : BULLsh*T !

That's the few complaints I have, they're good at making the games, but they're lazy managing their community. There are ways to turn that whole mod situation around, but they're just not doing it.

It's my all time favorite game though, nothing comes close to GTA, don't care about the division or all these games that come out right now, none of them come close to GTA V and Online, I could really play it forever, and I'd never get tired of it. I don't even like videogames, I just like GTA.

Ironically, TLAD's sawed off shotgun had that feature and it's a nearly 7 year old game now, they could've easily ported that shotgun in the vanilla GTA V game but Rockstar is just lacking in the common sense and testing department :/

We Are Ninja

...But, currently, the idea that we now have a new custom shop, Benny's, to modify new and not-new vehicles, was a great addition. Rockstar got it right.

However, the idea that these modifications are simply inaccessible to many players due to the ridiculously exorbitant prices, well, I think Rockstar got it wrong.

My opinion, of course, and as someone who can afford to visit Benny's anytime I like, I certainly empathize with those who can't.

I think Benny's is perfect. It gives some players something to work for. As often as bitch and moan threads pop up about boredom and having nothing to do, now we've got items designed for players to work towards. What's a game without goals?

Making cars almost impossible to catch when you're on foot:they got it wrong. Its impossible to have a fair fight against other players if they cowardly escape everytime

after getting a cheap kill.

We need to be able to run down cars on foot. Flash/Quicksilver DLC confirmed.

No, Vs Shotgun is better since it has an interesting gameplay mechanic attached to it, you have to empty a whole clip but one shot of the clip will be an instant kill, so it leads you to some smart aim placement and forces you to react on the fly, the gunplay with that weapon is also highly responsive, honestly in my opinion the two weapons added in the last update are easily the best weapons added to Online so far.

Gta is a huge success and my favorite game for a long time, so there's obviously a lot they got right. At the same time, there's a f*ck ton of little, aggravating, annoying, mind boggling things they got wrong.

Somehow, they completely forgot their own work in Midnight Club when it comes to car modifications. Midnight Club LA is an ancient game in comparison, yet these little details were far superior to gta....

Alloy wheels were alloy, now they're gray.

Gold was gold, now it's sh*t brown.

Everything about rims and tires could be customized, now you're stuck with whatever crap some nerd in a cubicle thinks you should have.

Every car got the full stable of customizations, now only a select few get really good mods, while some that have great potential, get absolutely nothing. (Gauntlet)

Car interiors were picture perfect, now they look like some paper mâché crap designed on a Commodore 64.

There are literally so many of these examples that I could never remember them all to list, but you get the idea.

Then there is hands down, no question, the undisputed world champion of bad ideas....Pegasucks.

Gotta go I've got a bus to jump in front of.

Cops

Right - they're an improvement on previous games in some ways. Car chases are fun, I can pretend I'm in that overrated Ryan Gosling film.

Wrong - Overpowering in street battles. My character doesn't breathe air they breathe police bullets. A little too infinite and easily provoked

"I certainly empathize with those who can't"

I don't they had 4 f*cking double cash events going on ahead of the Update and now have ANOTHER ONE.

So those who complain about the prices... screw you and play the god damn game...

Over the past 3 years. 90% of the stuff they release is new stuff to buy. And 10% is new content to play. Tacking on X2 money does not make the game any more enjoyable when its the same sh*t. Especially when players spend half the time in the clouds or disconnecting from lobbies

It doesn't help that AA is mixed with FA. And the most of the players use AA and make PVP modes sh*t.

Releasing these dull ass adversary modes that are barely fun the 1st time around does't help much.

Lack of new co-op content like contact missions doesn't help either. Co-op should be R* priority IMO.

In the end the average player simply does not have time to treat GTA O like a second job and just grind the same sh*t just to use new content that Take Two over prices the sh*t out of. And thats why R* make so much money of cash cards. And why players cheat... And the ones that grind all day and have legit everything are bored out of their skull.. Lord knows i am.

What R* got them wrong is that

1. Obsession on adversary modes that I spend more time on the loading screen and lobbies more than the game itself with bad pay

2. Missed opportunities on certain DLCs e.g. lowrider meet minigame from GTA SA, night clubs, etc

3. Lack of new stuff to do thats actually fun e.g. new heists, new lamar missions and others

4. Yacht abilities were limited like no ability to cruise with it

5. variety of clothes nuff said although the latest update was a step forward but still need modern lingerie not just the 20s style.

ugh so many wrong stuff to list but the rights were kinda obvious

I'm disappointed with CA's response. I could have stalked you, bro. Not any more. Anyway....

The lack of Grand Theft Auto in free mode against other players (not NPC) is none existent. Big let down IMHO.

Passive mode is probably the best feature R* have added to the game.

R* f*cked up.

Their biggest f*ck up was making a giant online community that has a bad sports mode and trailers that encourage a healthy community but then later on encourage the community to kill each other. But not too bad or you'll go red or have to pay insurance. Or deal with instapolice.

Also, good nod to how they f*cked up heists. Not apologizing. Would have been so much better if you were allowed to tackle the Heist your own way in free mode. If that meant walking into the banks and sticking them up for vigilante players to try and interrupt, would have added some depth.

But nah. Just longer contact missions.
