But what's with putting lowriders upgrades on Vans and Muscle cars like the Buccaneer, Faction, Sabre, etc? I don't mind Muscle cars in Benny's but they should have their own specialty mods, R* didn't put hydro's on the Banshee 900R and Sultan RS, those two was turned into race cars. Likewise Muscle cars should NOT have lowrider mods, they should have bad-ass dragster style mods. I love the Slamvan mods but I'm not 100% on that either. I feel that should be a Rat-Rod type vehicle over a lowrider. I suppose the Vans are OK though I rather see actual lowriders get added to become lowriders. But why Muscle cars and Rat-Rods? They should have their own specialty mods same as the race cars, not lowrider mods. Nothing about that truck is lowrider aside from the hydraulics, and even then, early 50s trucks are popular lowriders as well. The Sabre is somewhat debatable, but there are plenty of lowriders out there made from late 60's olds and chevelles. The cars you listed, being actual worthy of the "low-rider" title are the only ones i am waiting for and i was very enthusiastic initially when i heard the the "Virgo" would be getting the Benny treatment. Alas, it was not the Albany Virgo but the Dundreary Virgo, which in itself i find discouraging as having 2 different cars with the same name would seem a future problem if R* ever did to give the Albany version an upgrade. I agree except lowriders aren't always just muscle cars, they're often luxury cars too from Lincoln or Cadillac. Family sedans like the chevy caprice or impala are common too from what i know. GTA-Biker Posted March 21, 2016 Share Posted March 21, 2016 (edited) While I would definitely prefer Tornado, Peyote, Manana, Emperor, IGG Virgo, Marbelle, GTA 4 Sabre, Esperanto, Picador and maybe Stanier as lowriders instead of stuff like Minivan or Moonbeam,I'm still happy with most Benny's cars so far.Hopefully they will give us different styles of customization for the same cars (Sabre Turbo and Buccaneer as lowriders or as drag racers,for example),like they did with Faction being either a lowrider or a donk. The obvious reason they have done assorted cars is to try to appeal to a broader cross-section of players. Don't like the traditional boat lowriders? Well, make a Sabre Turbo into one. Or a minivan. Etc. It takes a lot of work (presumably) to make all the parts and liveries for these, and we only have a limited number of them so far (9 plus the two racers), so they took a scattershot approach and diversified the look and feel of those nine as much as possible, while still basing them on cars that show up modded this way in real life. If they had only given us the Tornado, Voodoo, Emperor, Chino, Peyote, and Virgo, you'd have a different group of people (probably a larger one) complaining that all the lowriders look alike and they don't want to buy any car that looks like that. I hope they all get added eventually (got a Peyote in storage that is already a beauty, but would benefit from a Benny's custom interior and wheels). But it makes sense that they would back-burner some of the more obvious cars for now, and put in more different kinds of cars. As for the Buccaneer, like someone else said, that IS a classic lowrider. It presents differently with the top on, which makes it have more of a hotrod/muscle look, but with the top removed and the Benny's upgrade, that is 100% pure lowrider goodness. whywontyoulisten Posted March 21, 2016 Share Posted March 21, 2016 (edited) Yeah the Buccaneer is definitely long/wide enough to be a lowrider, and certainly looks the part once you lose that stance; it reminds me of how the 65 Impala took on what would become the typical 70s muscle car shape, yet still remained a very large car. I'm not even a Rockstar fanboy, this is the first game by them that I keep coming back to. But the fact is, they listen better than a LOT of companies.
