sivispacem
This is from yesterday, no? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35799998 36 dead confirmed so far. Initial blame seems to be levelled at the PKK but there doesn't seem to be any actual evidence to support that assertion yet. Sensui-chan
;_; I feel mildly guilty because I see such horrible things happen every day in places like these while I can live my life without it being endangered every day It makes me sad and I wish I could do more than hoping that all this war stops one day ClaudeSpeed1911 and kipakolonyasi

Girish
Feel really bad for all the innocent people that had to lose their lives for no fault of theirs. Surprising though that this happened yesterday and this is the first time I'm reading about it. There's nothing on my FB news feed either where devastating news like these should have been trending. The media and the rest of the world need to get their sh*t together and bring attention to important things like these. Also, Surely, the Turkish government would have been aware of the threat. What's the deal here?
sivispacem
The Turkish government don't really care. It's somewhat advantageous to them to sow a climate of fear as it lets Erdogan reinforce his power and continue attacking the Kurds in Iraq and Syria whilst blaming all the IS activity in his country on them. It's basically a re-run of the Italian Years of Lead, but with Islamist led government as the far right and the Kurds as the communists. BrownBear
I've never felt it before where these events have really affected me on a personal level, but these recent events in Turkey are opening my eyes. Half my family lives in Turkey and my brother is going to university in Istanbul, so these events are really making me think deeply.

Yukinoshita
And thinking that I had a friend who was invited to stay there for 4 weeks. What a wonderful exchange program. Anyway, jokes apart, that's a bad thing. Let's hope the situation will return normal one day
