UshaB
Maccer or whatever his name he speaks irish i guess from his accent? That's definitely a Cockney British accent. OT: They could try and make it fit. I'm hoping for one in the next RDR. Hdxt_Hardluck
Claude4Catalina
Cockney? Far from it. Maccer's a Manc, all day long. Going by Mike's original last night (Townley) and some of his tattoo's, you could stretch to say he has Irish blood somewhere along the line, but thats as close as we've gotten so far. Some kind of Whitey Bulger/Henry Hill-type would be awesome to play as. UshaB and ObsydianRaven
theGTAking101
I think Gerald McReary would be an interesting protagonist in a 90s setting. Uncle Vlad, Shadowfennekin, American Viking and 1 other

universetwisters
I think the need for an Nigerian protagonist is much more prudent than that of an Irish one. PhillBellic
Yeah, How about a GTA:DUBLIN? Set in the 1920's, Cool. Alternatively, have it set during The Troubles. Perhaps have Derrick as a Major Character.
Shadowfennekin
I always felt like Packie could carry a DLC or game as a Protag. He's interesting enough. Plus he and Gerald could work together as they're the last of their family(Probably)

Megumi
R* has a weird grudge against the Irish blood, maybe that's why they nearly purged the entire McReary family and their associates. Lol I think the best candidate for an Irish protag is Gordon Sargent, who has possibily took over the leadership of the LC Irish gang (what's left of them) after Gerry's incarceration. Keano
Could happen. I personally think there's a possibility of Packie McReary being a protagonist. I would love to see Gerald and Derrick as protagonists in 80'/90's Ireland especially considering that its been hinted they played a huge role in The Troubles. Brian Grey
Packie would make a good protagonist but id prefer him as a supporting or with the right writer an antagonist, it would be nice to go back to Liberty City eventually which could give us 3 protagonists with GTA V being the first to do that 1 the Irishman who lives in Dukes a lone biker who survived the AOD-Lost war living in Alderney possibly a female protagonist similar to Catalina living in Algonquin im up for an Irish Protagonist aslong as its written well and has a great sense of humour and could teach the world a few of Irish traditions and celebrations along the way
GTA-Biker
R* has a weird grudge against the Irish blood, maybe that's why they nearly purged the entire McReary family and their associates. Lol Similar with bikers,in most games since VC biker gangs are enemies to the protagonist. In LCS,VCS,4,TBOGT and 5 they were enemies,in SA they were ignored (programmed as regular civilians instead of as a gang, and never even mentioned in the story),and even in TLAD where you play as an outlaw biker, your gang nearly gets wiped out in wars against rival gangs,as well as their own traitors. On topic,I think Michael has some Irish heritage, some of the tattoos he can get suggest it.However,I think playing as a member of an Irish mob (something like Packie in GTA 4) would be cool, and a new concept compared to Italian mobsters like Tommy Vercetti and Toni Cipriani. Uncle Vlad
A GTA about the McReary family at the time when they were powerful and ruled the Purgatory area could be interesting. The Irish mob, LC with the charme of past times, young John Gravelli, Giovanni Ancelotti and Jimmy Pegorino, sounds good to me.
