That's just Danny for ya.

This mod has potential to be good kinda. Reminds me of rotoscoped movies like A Scanner Darkly or Waltz with Bashir. But even then, those are much better than this mod. OP, either you cartoonify EVERYTHING or don't even bother.

I never thought this day would come but....

 

I've learned how to make filters for the Cartooned Skins...However if i do that it wouldn't be in the same hand drawn style...

 

So should i use a filter

 

Or keep it hand drawn

 

(the thing about almost everything i make is that it has that same drawing style even my realistic 3d models..using a filter would sorta ruin the purpose of the mod)

Fun fact:The mod started up when my brother asked me to make a few skins for Claude the main skin he requested was Claude wearing "Emo" Clothing with black eyeliner..i tried to remake it but using the eyeliner method around the whole shape..this is where the mod originated...Back then i literally traced over claude's in game texture.

It wasn't a mind change actually, but you were close.

This could be a great mod but it's lacking something unique. Maybe add your own peds?

Since i'm only good at texturing i'm gonna need someone on the outside to help on this one.

I'm not going to be working on this mod that often anymore as of right now i'm working on a mod called GTA 3 :Staunton Stories.

This is Liberty City 2016. years after GTA 3...the main character is planned to have voice lines..not to mention some new ads and brands..maybe even newer radio stations.

No it's not an april fools joke. I really think that he should stick to whatever he starts or it would become a long topic of quitting and working again.

Ah, nice. You could edit the head texture so it won't be stud_man ripoff. Especially the hair.

Motivation will come once you start improving these models. Make new ped meshes and it'll work.

whenever i edit stud_man.TXD he ends up looking weird...i tried to change his hairline and he ended up looking too similar to the original mafia skin

it literally took me hours to find the perfect model..since everyone in liberty wears a damn hat or is really overweight ..at one point i was just seeing what worked and what didn't i checked every ped in the games files...i almost used Sam.dff (the dude at ammu-nation) but it didn't seem right i almost used a Yakuza model but it's impossible to add pants..

 

 

also don't ever use novy....

it really has nothing to do with editing/changing the models..i'm just bored with the idea of cartooning the models i want to make something different and in fact before the cartooned idea i was thinking about making a mod similar to GTA:Staunton stories.

Novy is not f*cked. The LOD model is in the first clump, while the second clump features the normal model. Can be fixed by importing the second clump and exporting.

The mod had a good run but how am i gonna get better at modding if i'm only modding one simple thing..with the new mod i'm making i want to fix every flaw i made with the cartooned mod...my 1st flaw was making it Cartooned to begin with...i only made it cartooned because at the time i didn't know how to edit models that well and now that i know how to edit better what's the point...

because when i usually test novy his body placement is ruined..in fact when i tried it a few minutes ago it broke my game

It's set in modern day L.C and a storyline is what i wanted to make from the start.

 

i found some really old art for the mod.made by yours truly

This is such an early beta i only have concept art anyways it's supposed to be in Liberty City and brings in a whole new story to the game with new characters
