Please let there be a demo for PC. Apex runs like sh*t despite meeting the requirements so there is no way I'm buying this game without testing it first.

Nevertheless, the selection is good as past games, kinda disappointed on Block Party though. It's pretty outdated and obscure.

 

I agree about Block Party, it's like they played it safe with their selection. DMX and Run D.M.C feel kind of cliche, this could have been an opportunity for an upcoming artist to get noticed, being on the soundtrack of a high-profile game. Still, it's gotta be difficult to choose rap songs for games not rated Mature; it's rare that I hear a rap song not have any cussing, same goes for a properly edited version that isn't just silencing cuss words.

 

Oh well, Bass Arena is already looking to be my go-to station this time around.

NBA games have a wide selection of modern hip-hop, and those are rated E. It's easy to censor the swearing, which Forza could have done. More likely it's just that Playground Games isn't really familiar with hip-hop.

agreed, they could've tried an attempt such as Midnight Club 3, now at that time it was a pretty good list. They should've bumped it up to teen rating so at least they are more open to song opportunities

Really? I thought FH2's soundtrack was way better than GTA V, at least better than the vanilla version. Not sure how they compare when taking into account the updated version.

That's your opinion, man. In my opinion, I thought FH2 had a way better selection of electronic music when compared to GTA V's Soulwax FM. Techno just isn't my thing.

​I don't really mind the music selection for FH2's Bass Arena, it was pretty much what you expect from the modern day EDM scene, if anything it didn't have the horrible Skrillex remixes from FH1. Some of my personal stand-outs were "Delorean Dynamite" and "Liberate". If you don't like it just switch it off, it's not like there's 6 other stations or anything.

 

​FH3's Bass Arena seems alright. I didn't expect anything "sublime" but I gotta say I love the throwbacks ("Papua New Guinea", "Killer") and all.

Have you updated your gpu drivers? It's optimized pretty well.

No, it still stutters like crazy making the game unplayable despite hovering around 60 fps.

Monitor your RAM usage maybe? Last time I played it, apex was the chrome of games. It eats through RAM. Hell, it's the only game that sh*ts itself when I've got chrome open, though, in all fairness I do have a lot of tabs open (things just sort of get forgotten about in bookmarks)... But that being said, it's the only game that throws up issues with RAM usage, so honestly I'd start looking at RAM usage.

Hope Forza Horizon 3 on PC isn't as RAM-intensive as Forza 6 Apex, but I doubt it. I think I need a very powerful rig to play this game, 8 GB isn't gonna cut it for some people who want to play on max settings.

Wow. ONE song I know I like in the whole soundtrack (Fall Back Down by Rancid). If I were to get this, it'd be the same old mute it and have iTunes in the background routine I always have to do.

Played the demo. I must say the engine sounds and sky textures blew me away. My favorite thing so far are the roads. Unlike FH2's bland as f*ck road these roads feel so natural and they get so twiaty and fun. I mean wow. So tempted to get this game now.

The level of detail in this game is incredible. It also seems like we can drive on every part of the map; I managed to go off-roading in the rainforest without getting hit by an invisible wall, and I drove off the rocky ledge at that beach we race on. I'm so buying this game.

I'm still astonished by that ocean highway. It just looks and feels so... natural. That's the biggest thing missing from most open worlded games and roads. That real feeling. They really outdid themselves.

Maybe I will, but it sucks to not see anything I've recognized. Also, I've listened to classic rock and Grunge mostly, so it makes sense I wouldn't know most of it.

It's surprising. I quit playing FH2 over a year ago and never bothered to buy FM6. It's pretty stunning. The demo gives you such a huge space to roam around in. It all looks and feels so natural too. I'm playing more of it when I get home.
