gta liberty city stories takes place three years before gta 3 and Toni looks so very young in the Liberty City Stories and very old in gta 3

I would guess because once he was back in good graces with the leone family and very high up in the family, he lived in excess. I would imagine that if rockstar could edit something from iii, they would probalymake toni a tiny bit slimmer and younger looking in gta iii to better match toni's appearance in LCS, since it was only 3 years apart. But, I loved his character in both and thought he was a cool character.

GTA III is the first and only example we've seen of how protagonists develop and age. Depending on how somebody lives, three years can take their toll. I know I look noticeably different from three years ago, and my line of work isn't anywhere near stressful as Toni's. We don't know what went on in Liberty City between the events of LCS and III. Incidents can only be hinted towards, and III doesn't give a great deal away because LCS wasn't planned so early on.

We've also seen other changes in characters across the games - Lance appears noticeably different from his appearance in VCS to his debut in VC. However, this inclusion is more for comedic effect. In VC, he is a cool and charming individual with a penchant for white suits and a few choice words for anyone who mocks his name. In VCS, while he's still involved in criminal activity, he looks more like Urkel on spring break. The physical changes aren't anything major, but characters do change depending on lifestyle and influences.

Not to mention the stress of having to take baths with his Ma once he moved back in with her.

I think he ate too much fastfood from the Cluckin' Bell, or the nearest donut-shop.. Beside of that, he's also a lazy man who doesn't

exercise in the park on Staunton Island.

Cluckin' Bell? That didn't exist in the 3D Era. :p

Yes it did...?

Anyway, stress does that to a man. Sh*t stresses you the f*ck out, and it shows.

Well, with no Stores in LCS's LC, he wouldn't be able to Eat there. :D

True, but it did exist in the 3D era. That was the main point.

Pretty sure this was asked on Rockstar's newswire once and I believe it was a change of model they went for with no real reason behind it. Same story for Vic Vance. Although the story was left open for discussion by Rockstar with people simply saying his return to the Leone's was a stressful one
