GTA 5 Black screen on startup

Hey,

I just downloaded and installed GTA 5 trough Rockstargames Social Club Launcher. But when I start the game, there is no visual. Only a black screen. Then if i press CTRL+Alt+Del and open up the task manager the sound starts playing . You know, the shooting and the cop car sounds. But still black screen. Can someone help me please? I can't play the game. i can play games like Far Cry on ultra settings, so my laptop should be able to handle it.

 

I already updated my drivers, verified game data, even redownloaded the game, but nothing seems to help. I have an Acer Aspire laptop e17 with:

 

i5-5200U

8GB DDR-RAM
​Nvidia geforce 940m (iwth 4gb dedicated vram)

 

I hope someone can help me with this issue.

I know it sounds basic but it works, when it goes to the black screen pull out the plug/cut the power. Then a couple of minutes later turn it back on & you should get the "Not turned off properly last time" message then just load up again & Bob's your auntie.
