So after doing the Humane Labs Raid with my friend, we went and did the Kill List in the Valkyrie. I was amazed at the hits it could take. My friend told me on the 3rd rocket the Valkyrie blew up. I thought that was pretty neat. I imagined myself flying into the Los Santos sky without worrying about being shut down by noobs with their homing launchers.

 

So I had bought the Hydra, savage & buzzard and I had enough for the Valkyrie since it was on sale (I have almost no land vehicles since I always end up selling them all). My friend told me not to buy it, since it was useless flying it alone, but I thought it would be pretty cool flying around in the helicopter during times where you can't turn into passive mode (Freemode events, bounties, vip contracts) and be able to survive homing hits. So I bought it, called pegasus and headed to get it.

 

I went right above some action in the city and turned my passive mode off. I heard the lock-on sound and I was anxious to see the result. And then BLAM my valkyrie blew up and 2.1mil grinded so hard passed right before my eyes....

 

 

 

Now I can't play GTA anymore since I got no controllers and a smashed TV.

I once bought a tank and thought it could withstand more than two missiles.

 

Or it could, before Rockstar thought it was worth altering it.

Never said it was Rockstar's fault, it was just a bit confusing how they were portrayed differently in missions & heist, but have paper armor in freemode

I still bought one. It's fun to use on contact missions, and if a NPC gets into the minigun seat, they are godlike with their aim. Try the mission with Stanley. I think it's No Hay Bronca

OP: I can see how it's happened but honestly I would be more careful with my purchases... If i want to buy something I plan it out before grinding (I dont want to go below 5mil) and I do all my research and such... Much like I did with the Savage... Ended up not buying it because of its armor...

Though i didnt unlock it yet before it was known well that besides the heists it woud explode by one missile....even if i had unlocked it, i probably still woud have asumed it to have weaker armor in freeroam and i always wait a while before i buy something untill eager idiots or bilionaires tested it for me so to speak and post about it on the internet.

For an example, i knew the armor of the savage was sh*t before i bought it.

 

Blame youreself for not doing research before buying something...i mean, i have the f*cking internet and it seems you did to,....how much easier can it get ?!

Did the same thing, hot excited when it handled a bunch of rockets in that heist. Thought it would be awesome in freeroam to chase people with that cannon. And then uou find out it takes 1 missile or 1min of cops lol. Atleast I bought it before any reviews were up :(

I bought the Valkyrie because I liked it and the money wasn't an issue (who spends all of their money on one thing?), but I do wish the armor in freeroam was as good as it is in heists.

Mistakes are made, not done. So, your question should've been: "Did anyone else make the same mistake as me?"

You make a mistake. You don't do a mistake.

Quite a few vehicles have more armor during heists. NPC controlled savage comes to mind..If a player would fly it, it'd probably start smoking after 2 heavy sniper hits...
