Anybody played using nvidia geforce 820M

My laptop is i5 4th generation with 2.7 - 3.4 ghz

Windows 7 64 bit ,8 gb ram and nvidia geforce 820M graphics card (2gb). It is an entry level graphics card so i have a doubt that whether i can play gta 5 or not

I don't think that GPU is anywhere near what you need to play this game. My laptop has a 770m with an i7 and I am squeaking by with 30 FPS. An 820m is a very low end 8xx series graphics card not meant for any serious gaming use.

Edit: Just in case I was wrong, I ran the stats you posted with 8GB ram and 2GB of VRAM on the card with these results:

You might get away with 720p on lowest settings, but it's not something I would recommend.

That's at 1080p, mind. Although going below 1080p is not something I would recommend, lower resolutions may be feasible. 1024x768 or similar should be workable enough to play.

 

If you do go ahead and grab it, use task manager to set GTAV.exe priority to high. This will net you a few extra frames and better stability in terms of fps drops and stuttering, should you have any. I'm fairly certain there is also a mod for running V on low end machines that change settings you otherwise couldn't.

 

Perhaps it would be in your interest to look that mod up prior to buying.

I completed gta 5 with an i7 4510u up to 3.1Ghz,8gb ram,nvidia 820m 2gb on windows 8,1,the game is running fluently with 40fps average with shadows,textures and reflections on high at 1366x768 resolution and fxaa on,on 4gb ram the game stuttered like hell after 5 minutes of playing,you can play this game on a toaster gpu but you need minimum 8gb ram and a good cpu to have good fps
